Criticism of what is happening in other areas, such as Palestine, does not hide the forced expropriation of Uyghurs by China. Ironically, China accuses the Nanking Incident of being a horrific event without any evidence, but claims that it is a fabrication with regard to the Uyghurs and a hoax despite the fact that there is plenty of evidence about the Uyghurs, including leaked police files. Actually going to the Uyghurs does not prove that there is no incarceration.

This is an open comment/letter to my friends who live in America, or the five eye's countries or NATO affiliated countries.
At age 64 my Canadian friend who at that point had lived in China for 17 years convinced me to come see for myself how advanced China was in infrastructure, technology and morality compared to our country of Canada and any of the 5 eyes countries.
So I spent 6 months in SE Asia exploring with a Canadian friend who has lived there for 17 years now 23 years.
The lies and propaganda just can't compete when you go see for yourself.
As a Westerner who believes all the propaganda do you ever wonder how come such an evil empire as China has not dropped bombs, not invaded, not sanctioned, does not Assassinate other countries officials and yet your, country (so morally superior) why do you do all these things or at minimum support the US as they do all these things?
Do you ever ask yourself that? Do you ever wonder why America has more prisoners than any other country in the world?
Do you ever wonder why America calls for war on drugs and China calls for war on poverty? Do you ever wonder how China pulled 850 million people out of poverty while America gave all it's wealth to the 1%.
Do you ever wonder why walking in downtown America at night is seriously risking your Life while walking in any major cities in China day or night is perfectly safe?
Do you ever wonder how China can give 1.4 billion people free education and health care with the right to choose between traditional Chinese medicine or Western medicine, while in America most people can't afford health care?
Do you ever wonder why a single party country with 1.4 billion people have a government approval by survey of 90+% yet not a single 5 eyes countries can even achieve 50%.
Lastly do you ever wonder how a country that has achieved so much has not had a single positive news article in the new York Times or the Wall Street journal or any of the major networks?
If you don't wonder about any of these things, then you probably are brainwashed and you probably think your not bombing Syria to steal their oil, your not sanctioning Venezuela to control their oil, your not sanctioning Huawei because their more advanced.
You probably also believe Edward Snowden is a traitor rather than a hero, you probably think the war crimes Chelsea Manning revealed were justified and you probably think Americans are still the good guys.
Then there is little or no hope for you. Perhaps, get a passport go see the truth perhaps redemption is still a possibility.

some of what the Uyghurs said are true, but Xinjiang is also the homeland to many Han Chinese and other minorities like the Mongols and some other nomads. I have family in Xinjiang that have been there for generations, since the early Qing dynasty, before the US was even independent. do we (Han Chinese) not belong there too?

Thanks for making the video, one thing I want to point out is that the part showing the surveillance cameras and code for the app is just not supported enough, there's no evidence showing these cameras are used for Uyghurs only, because those kinds of cameras are all over China, and that code could be easily written on any computer by anyone. I'm not saying there's no such a thing similar to genocide, simply because I don't know, but since both sides of the media are not providing enough evidence and it's more like propaganda against each other, I choose to believe in neither of them and wait for compelling evidence. peace and love.

This is TH-cam, controlled by Western media, and videos favorable to China are often throttled or taken down. Most Chinese people don't use it, so you rarely see Chinese voices here.
On Chinese websites, the notion of racial extermination you confidently speak of is an outdated joke. Equality among ethnicities and national unity are enduring concepts in textbooks and widely accepted by the people. The country's education and economic policies even provide preferential treatment to minority groups. If you ask a Chinese person about the Uighur genocide, they would find it laughable.
Film two sets of slanted shots of school walls and traffic police on the streets, add gloomy filters and oppressive music, find two individuals willing to compromise their principles for money to give "testimonies," then locate two so-called "experts" who haven't actually visited the site to make comments. Afterwards, mark schools, prisons, and factories with walls on Google Maps as "concentration camps" while sitting in Australia. Trust me, you can use this method to prove that any country is implementing "mass detention" and "racial extermination" against any ethnic group.
Of course, my words can't prove anything. Instead, why not travel to Xinjiang? China welcomes you to experience the beautiful natural landscapes, diverse ethnic customs, and the hospitality of its people.

Another one in an interview with the BBC involves he censoring of her passport's date of issue in the interview footage.

You also mentoned something about the live satellite footage. You seemed to have missed looking up evidence of the footage yourself. They basically took literal snapshots of google earth graphics and claimed they were concentration camps. You can look it up at ASPI's "Mapping Xinjiang’s ‘re-education’ camps".
They only showed the tops of buildings under construction. You see that the article makes a lot of claims about these being absolutely certainly reeducation camps, but the MAJOR ISSUE is, these buildings can be ANYTHING else entirely, from apartment complexes to schools. Within the same article is a google doc which shows what China claims them to be. These go by a variety of names from schools to farms.
In short, there isn't a speck of proof to back their claims that these are actually what they claimed them to be.

Chinese government is so discriminating that they have seperated tickets for han,uyghur and tibetans in tourist places. Uyghur and tibetans have to pay more for same tickets than Han chinese. Han chinese are settling in Tibet and Turkistan and they get various privileges in them. Tibetans,uyghurs and Hui are treated as second class citizens in their own country. Thats why they want an independent country.
