I had a crush on Jerry Lewis since I was a little girl in the 1950s, LOL, Saw many of his movies when they were first run in drive ins and theaters. It's been a life-long love. But I don't think I've ever seen The Patsy! Plenty of old school comedians here.
These outtakes are HA-LARIOUS LOL! See I added "Laugh Out Loud" to prove so lol. Seriously these are some of the funniest outtakes from one of the best movies Jerry Lewis ever made. I remember seeing this in a movie theatre with my friend John back in the day (as we say) and the audience was really laughing out loud as were John and myself. Jerry is missed!
Bisouuuus
I knew I recognized Sloan's voice (hard of hearing guy). That's the late Phil Foster and he later played Laverne's father on the 70s TV sitcom Laverne & Shirley. 🙂
Indeed. He left us much too soon. A wonderfully gifted actor who was equally good in both comedic & dramatic roles. He committed suicide in 1965 (only a year after this film was released) at the age of only 55, poor fellow. He took an overdose of barbituates. Reportedly he was depressed about going blind from glaucoma.
That's his son Gary Lewis right before he had his success as Gary Lewis and The Playboys. Gary Lewis did very good imitations of his dad since he was little, as shown on other shows that they were on together. A few of them are on my channel.
I like the very first outtake.
Jerry's laugh is SO contagious.
I love his laugh!!
OhioGirl1973 Right.
The hug at the end is adorable!
OMG yes! That hug is just soooo sweet, full of love
Is that Jerry's kid?
@@bradstarks6454 - That's my question - anybody know?
@@williamdejeffrio9701 Yes it is. His eldest, Gary. He is 73 years old now.
@@bunnyhop3211 Thanks!

learned today that isabelle dwan, who played the elderly lady, was my dad's cousin and stand-in grandmother.

Boa,jetzt hab ich einen Hörsturz 😱😂🤣
Wow, Phil Harris looks really pissed off in EVERY outtake.
They probably made him stay sober during filming.....
I noticed that too.
Does anyone know who the wandering man is???
3:52 !
Who was that at 6:57? Looks like one of his sons.

Its amazing how similar he looks and sounds like his dad. The accent was perfect. :)
+Michael P. Shipley Not that amazing. Gary was his son after all!
