I don't care how many times I've seen this, I still laugh convulsively when I see it...the bit with the falling vases is my favorite. He later said in an interview that this was a really difficult scene to carry out...it took many retakes. Jerry was a comedy genius...
Every time I watch this, I think to myself - how many statues actually hit the ground before he caught em all- I love Jerry!! He's the greatest, sexiest, funniest man I've ever seen. His youth seems to be eternal, and no matter how old he is/gets I'll always see his face as the gorgeous 24 year old on CCH.
I missed all of this funny stuff when I was a kid --I needed to be older to catch all the brilliance of this. The double doors! The uncomfortable chairs/couch. Jerry is a god!
Ever since Jerry Lewis showed up on my TH-cam feed I’ve been chuckling and laughing throughout the day thinking about them. My wife is wondering why I seem so happy. Thanks, Jerry.
+Alexis Melendez Maybe not tears coming out but there are many Jerry Lewis scenes that are laugh out loud funny. If you don't dig that kind of comedy it might seem corny but Lewis is a comedy legend.
I remember this scene and after all these years I found it!Mom and I watched this back in the 70s when I was young teenager and we could never remember the name of it but here it is!We laughed so hard and Tears were coming out of our eyes!Another Classic Comedy by the Great Comedian Jerry Lewis! One of Many!RIP Jerry!
I agree. Jerry was the master. I got th o meet him in 1983 Jerry Lewis telethon in Eugene Oregon. I'm a retired professional boxer that's how I got tut I meet him. Very cordal but a crack up
@dhager850 In the documentary, Method to his madness, he said he went through 500 vases and so called "things of art. Whenever, one would the propety departmen would just make some more.
I find it fascinating when people say things like "Tears coming out" "funniest part". I don't find it very funny but rather fascinating watching and marveling at the technical setup of pulling off such a scene with the timing of the vases....what part brought tears? I only chuckled at best at the piano portion...and liked the part where the teacher stands abruptly up leaving Jerry's face in his belly...Jerry played it sooooo good....but it does not bring tears just chuckles.
+Brian Wilson Yeah, I agree....I'm Jerry's number one fan but often his stuff works better as 'interesting/ fascinating' rather than 'funny' (see esp: The Nutty Professor, an amazing film, but not exactly 'hysterical' but intriguing)...still...he often is funny! :)
I had a friend who never "got" jokes. she was a nice person, but had no sense of humor. But I'm with you guys, tears don't come with comedy. He is very funny, I laugh my ass off.
This is an example of the comedy genius of Jerry Lewis

Laughed 'til I cried. Think Jerry Lewis was one, if not the best, comedians of all time.
Love this type of humor we don't get to see it much anymore, Jerry will always be iconic

Best Jerry scenes for me are this one, the bowling scene from Nutty Professor, and the Hat scene from The Ladies Man.

I literally hurt myself every time his eyebrows fall over his eyes. Then he suavely combs them back up rofl
Hilarious!!!😂😂
Miza

LOL! The way he sat in the slanted chair and slowly fell. heehee
This was the only part of this movie that I loved and laughed at.

Now That's what I call "Bringing down the house."
6:25 is how Hans Conried became Captain Hook.
pretty funny. When Jerry slammed his hand on the piano, the big guy broke everything including his house.
Well I guess he (*puts on sunglasses*) brought the house down. (*walks off camera*)

@@bobjohnson2315 Ouaou you lucky man?!
I recalled a film from long long ago that involved combing eye brows. Nearly killed my mother with laughter. just found it.
HANS CONREID!! I STILL MISS YOU!!
Good stuff
The singing lesson owes a lot to a similar Norman Wisdom scene in The Square Peg.
Saudades desse grande ator. É muito bom rever seus filmes. Eternas e boas lembranças. 😘🙏
I can't stop laughing 😂😂😂😂
Jerry Lewis era brilhante!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂Maravilhoso Jerry, nunca haverá outro que se compare a ele. Fantástico!
In a recent documentary he said he practiced for weeks and weeks...over 10, and broke over 300 of them!
I LOVE iT
Si può ridere fino alle lacrime ogni volta?
Ina Balin was a beauty!

talk about bringing down the house. ha ha ha ha :)
“Zing for your Zupper”, what the heck does that mean? Is that like “sing for your supper”?

Me gustaria que fueran en español
Why does Professor Mulerr’s loud singing cause Stanley’s eyebrow hairs to grow extremely long?
@@AccurateCrabLegs they're not extremely long. The sound wave push them down.
@@bastounoummm Are they still attached to Stanley's face or did the loud sound wave completely remove the hair follicles from their roots?
The same!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus his eyebrows 😂
Assistir dublado em portugues
