  • Quick install of the ETS test pipe on my Evo X. Had it installed already but had to put the cat back on in order to pass smog. This is paired with the ETS V2 extreme catback exhaust and the stock downpipe.

      @@justinthomas2899 cool I just order it for my first 2014 ralliart. I have cobb accessport and straight pipe from catback with 5inch burnt tip and AEM cold air right now. So I'm excited for this to show up so I can put it on. I loved your video because my car looks identical to yours but I have bronze Konig wheels on mine.

    No cel?

      Nope, where the o2 sensor screws in, it’s facing backwards so less exhaust hits the sensor. Made specifically so it won’t throw a code🤙🏼 they make adapters you can screw into the exhaust if yours doesn’t have it too. But mine came with it welded in.

    Hey man how is bad is it if i have ets test pipe and not tune yet? Thanks

    • @justinthomas2899
      @justinthomas2899  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      emerson cerda pretty sketchy. It throws off your air fuel ratio and you’ll over boost for sure. Just done get into boost until you at least have a Cobb ots tune.

    Hey man you said u got smogged were u tuned? Would I need to flash the stock tune to get smogged my mods are only drop in , hfc,cbe

    • @justinthomas2899
      @justinthomas2899  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends what state you live in probably. I flashed a different tune just so it’ll run better. But it still wasn’t the stock tune. But all they really do in my state is visually look to see if you have a CAT and run to see if you have any CEL’s on.

    Do you need a tune for any test pipe?

    • @justinthomas2899
      @justinthomas2899  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quinta Alianza Official yeah you do. Or you’ll likely overboost, lean out at full throttle, and risk blowing the engine.

    Are you still running that set up? I wanted to do this but on Stage 1? Any issues for you so far?

    Do you have to have a wideband to install the test pipe?

    • @justinthomas2899
      @justinthomas2899  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      gogetta90001 no I got the test pipe with the bung already welded in and it came plugged with a bolt, so if you don’t have the wideband you just leave it plugged. But I recommend you do get the wideband if you get a test pipe just so you can watch your AFR’s.

    Hey man what size gaskets did you use?

      For which part?

    • @westvalleyliving7632
      @westvalleyliving7632 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the test pipe. Cause I have a stock down pipe so should I run the 2.5 gasket? As far as tune I just ordered a Cobb access port what stage would you recommend to run for a catless test pipe?

    • @justinthomas2899
      @justinthomas2899  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      West Valley Living yeah I used 2.5. I couldn’t get a 3 inch to seal up I always had a small leak, the 2.5 worked perfect. I’d go stage 2 or 2+ on their low boost map until you can get a pro tune from somewhere

      @justinthomas2899  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just run the Cobb stage 2+ with low waste gate for now. Been using that for about a year and haven't had problems, no knock, over boosting or running lean. I'll get tuned eventually but just wanna get more mods on it first.

    • @jordandejesus5023
      @jordandejesus5023 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Justin Thomas Hopefully you get that pro tune there will be a good difference. I do not have good experience with Cobb products, but if you don’t have any problems with your afr and boost, then it’s all good. Nice video!
