Thank you for doing a EVO X with actual power, I saw the smile on your face. I love the 8s and 9s, but for some reason I get drawn into the 10s at the end of the day, maybe it's my age.
Okay, for those people who have acquired the bad habit of mislabeling things, let me explain. The car has a stock engine block. In other words, it is the stock cast semi open deck block with stock sleeves. The crankshaft and rods and pistons inside of the block are not a part of the block. They are a part of the rotating assembly. So when it says stock block, it just means the block. That contains the better parts that can hold the power. Without having been modified to hold more power, like being filled with concrete or deck plated. If somebody says a stock bottom end. That includes the rotating assembly. But a stock block is just that. The block. So calm down😂

Always love an evo with lots of power. But I’m more of a time attack road course guy. My 500whp evo x is built more for turns while still being street legal and can take it grocery shopping lol In a world where majority of people only care about straight line performance, especially evos, you’ll hardly ever see them doing time attack.
Those pop/bang in between each shift is so satisfying. It sounds natural unlike every modern BMW turbo B58/S58/S55/N55 or other German turbo engines whether its a 4cyl. or 8 cyl. (they all sound the same btw and have very similar power delivery) where the pops and bangs are fake programmed synthetic rice tuned on deceleration or letting off the gas. It sounds like a popcorn machine. The old Japanese turbo engines never did that and had natural pops and bangs. Even newer Japanese turbo 4 cyl. have the fake pops and bangs like the Integra Type S. Korean turbo cars also have it and it sounds so bad. Its like every modern turbo car manufacturer knows they can't make a good sounding exhaust so they program fake synthetic rice out burbles to compensate.
Damn that's impressive!! It rips! The tune is spot on from the looks and sounds of it. Personally the Evo IX is my favorite but there's no denying this X is way up there And we're Advan RG bros
Stock block in the US must means different here. In the UK it's generalised to mean stock bottom end, not just that the block itself isn't sleeved etc. Unless going stupid power the stock cranks and blocks themselves have no issues it's the stock rods that are by far the weakest link followed shortly by the pistons.
I am so glad Lee’s EVO reached this level. I still remember few years ago, when I took him for a ride in my built EVO 8 (the “abandoned EVO”, which this channel reviewed before), he was so shocked.’😂
@@BOOSTEDH2 yeah originally the term "stock block" meant the internals of the "stock block" were indeed stock. Guess it all depends on how granular you want to be with it. There was a point in time where billet blocks weren't a thing. It's like saying you have a stock head, but you have cams, upgraded valves springs, etc. You no longer have a stock head. It's been upgraded, just like a block with better pistons, rods, etc is no longer stock.
Stock blocks on most vehicles especially sports cars are not a failure point until in the 1XXX hp range. So to say it has a stock block at this power level isn’t a such an astonishing feat. They know what they’re doing with that title. That’s why there’s multiple comments pointing out the same thing. Either you’re troll or you’re definitely in the minority with your thinking on the term stock block
In what Helen Keller world is this a “stock block” car? It’s misleading and a slap in the face for those of us actually pushing the stock bottom end as it came from the factory. Good build, but let’s call it what it is. Built.
I follow 370zforme on youtube for a while now, he had one of these too. He was pushing around 650-700whp on the stock engine. It was pretty insane. Had it at that power level for 1.5 years based on last video.
Cool car but it is probably closer to 750 dyno jet if it’s on 30psi. Or a high reading mustang dyno. 10s are better overall cars than 8/9s imo. But it just depends what you want out of it.
@@mikelbring Like I said, I've seen the graph, it makes a little more than he said in the video actually, its high compression on custom pistons. I've even seen the piston schematics lol. Always some hater in the comments though. Zero interest in typing with you on the internet. I gave you the answer you just don't like it. 🤣
I still don't care for how they look, but this one is something else. Felt more planted and smooth than a big power Evo 8 or 9, just depends what feel you're going for I guess.
It's a stock sleeved 4b11t same as mine in my ralliart which has also been running similar power, 726hp 600lbft on dyno dynamics to be exact, also on precision turbo with built sst,
Hell yeah 🤘 That’s my mechanic & he’s a good guy Lee L&T fastwork 💪🤘🔥 he build my 2009 lancer SE. I got 255 hp FwH on Mustang Dyno almost 300 hp on dyno jet🔥🔥🔥💪🤙🤘#Htuning
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Canada day weekend to my Canadian friends, hope you have a great weekend.

Glad you wrote this or I would have lol I have a Evo 9 and it amazes me what these things are capable of
Devin Niemela has been running +800hp on his fully stock motor evo x for months now.
Ah! Good to know! I'll have to check out his build, haven't seen it yet.
baderbuilt runs 1000hp wrx sti stock short block ! impressive result too! love it!
Devin is goated ❤️
I rarely see a video seconds after it has been posted, but glad it's a Roads Untraveled one

Title is also misleading. No one says stock block when a car has rods and pistons. Sure it’s not sleeved but come on.
Lmao! I was thinking the same thing! Come on now 😂
I agree… though “stock bottom end” is more the term… no one ever changes out to aftermarket machined blocks lol $$$$
I thought rods and pistons were “internals” ? A block is a block, it holds all the internals.🤷♂️
Devin’s evo x is the only full stock block is making 820 wheel
Rotating assembly ≠ Block
The more you know
They’re so underrated I had to get one.
10 is the best gen 4B11T is a beast
Than you so much for yet another bad ass episode! Cant get enough of Evo and Sti series!! keep them coming brotha!
Stock block would imply it hasn't been opened up which is what Devin did. This isn't a stock block car.

It did feel closer to 750 dynojet. The graph/numbers may have already been calibrated to show "Dynojet" numbers, I'm not sure.
This is my friend and I know the build, it's high compression custom pistons that's why it makes so much power on less boost.
