I think a few of these were allowed because of gameplay necessity, not allowing the warrior character to eat the food that enhances damage, volt goat chau froid, would be silly, and mushcake can be incredibly important when exploring the lunar island and grotto
I knew that. She can eat all the event items basically. Mush was probably an oversight. Unfortunately nearly all of them are basically a waste of energy to get, and not worth seeking out. If you happen to have them, okay. Meatballs are probably the easiest to feed her. It let's you basically use veg and monster meat to feed her well.
The weirdness here definitely stems from coding. In order to make Wigfrid able to eat "goodies", they just enabled ALL goodies for her. Honestly, while there's some great stat benefits here, i don't think any of it is big enough to warrant change. But while on this topic, I believe it is worth mentioning that multiple durians in a crockpot makes monster lasagna, a meat dish, out of, theoretically, two stinky fruit and some mushrooms, something which could probably go in a random tips video later on.
This is all nice and all, but still it's easier to get some frogleggs or meat/monstermeat and some veggies/ice to get meatballs than banana, candy or other fancy stuff.
Bananas are stupid easy to get and mass produce all year round. One trip to the Moon Quay is all you need so once you find it then there's an alternative that instantly outshines having to hunt, wait for pig farms, harvest gobblers or run to a Tallbird area.
Beard you should go over the new Lamb character mod in the workshop it seems really well made! The owner only uses images to describe how it works though so it's kinda confusing on how everything works.

I don’t think klei will do anything about the mush cake and frozen banana dish for wigfrid but I do like the fact that it’s something she can eat.

Twins don't drop it, only the Eye. Plus, that's a boss fight you need to wait many days for when charge and farming volt goats has never been easier.
