Why Do Li-Po Batteries Swell Up? 😮😮😮

Ever wondered why LiPo batteries swell up? It is generally not recommended to continue using a swollen LiPo battery. Batteries swell because of the phenomenon of electrolyte decomposition.

Someone know the chemistry of common RC LiPo batteries? Obviously NMC but their voltage is high with 3.85V discharge average not 3.7V or 3.6V so they might be more manganese than cobalt. Maybe NMC 7.2.1 or such ratio.
