The guitar lick in that song still sounds good 44 years later. Also check out "Listen to Her Heart", "You Got Lucky", and "Ways to be Wicked" from later in his career.
The backup singers were a unique and perfect mix of high clean soul vocal, rock, and classical. All blended with the non-conventional string work. No other song sounded like it. A nod to the artist's originality.

There's so many memories associated with this song and especially this trippy video. Swear I wasn't high while watching this back in the day. (Fingers crossed) Haha! Definitely not one of his better songs. Anybody can repeat a statement over and over. American Girl, last dance and learning to fly would have been a better choice but hell exploring music and rocking something new is never a bad thing, unless the message is spreading hate. We need to unite and fight as one if we are ever going to stop the hate, racism and negative feelings. Remember that alone we are just that "alone, solem and week" but together, together we make the rules, we run the door and we run the "club".
