This is my favorite track by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. As to the meaning of the song, it is not about the Alice in Wonderland imagery of the video. Lol. It is actually a breakup song. Specifically concerning the breakup of Stevie Nicks and Joe Walsh. As the story goes, the song was inspired by what Dave Stewart said to Walsh when he was kicking him out of Nicks' home, "Don't come around here no more." Speaking of Stevie Nicks, you should react to the duet between Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks called 'Stop Dragging' My Heart Around." Another very good, memorable track of the same period.

"The Ending! That was so unexpected." Yep, thats what caught me too when i first watched the Music Video (while i already knew the song).
Although this is a breakup song, i just can't stop smiling while seeing Tom Petty smiling and grinning in the video. It can be a sad song, but its a positive vibe Music Video for sure!
