Dating and the dating apps have brought out all my anxieties and insecurities. Dating in your 40s in 2022 is hard. Dating is hard at any age, but I find that dating at this point in my life has brought out so many of my anxieties and insecurities that it's making me sad. I question over and over whether I will meet the right person. Navigating this new dating world has definitely affected my mental health, it's made me more anxious, sad and insecure and it has made me question whether or not I will find love again or will I be alone forever? I find myself yearning for a time when life was much more simple. When chivalry was still a 'thing' and dating apps didn't exist. I'm trying to navigate this world in which people are only looking for the 'now' and not the future. I would love to find that special someone, but it's hard to find quality when you're surrounded by indecisiveness. It's hard to find a serious relationship when it seems everyone is just looking for a hook up. How do you guys feel about dating in 2022 and the dating apps? Let me know if the comments below.
