@33 seconds'" I am going to show you how to change spider arm assembly, It is an easy job."" 45 minutes full on video. Man, I like this video. I am a technical guy. I know how hard is this. But appreciate this guy's generous effort to make us understand.. Awesome video. Thank you.
Thank you. As many others have said this is the best appliance repair video I have every watch. Just the right level of explanation and just the right pace through every step enabled me to follow along and not have to replace a $700 washer. Also one of the few repair videos that includes not just the steps up through the replacement, but also the re-assembly which was invaluable.
It’s totaled if you have to hire someone to do it. Part is like $100 - $150 alone and then the time. Looks like it can make an interesting DIY repair. How has it held up for you?
You guys don't need to go to the purgatory, you are going straight to heaven for this valuable help you are providing to people in the world that need this knowledge. So much appreciated!!! Thank you so much
Thank you for the video. My dad and I fixed my washer using your instructions. In total it was about 170 in parts, and we replaced the drain pump. That’s still better than the cost of a new one. Here’s to 10 more years of usage 🤞🏼
Thank you very much for this video. A repairman told me the broken spider arm assembly could not be purchased for my Samsung washer, and to just buy a new one, but I found the part on-line and used your video step by step instructions to repair it myself. Runs just like new again. Saved me over $630. Very professionally done. Thanks again.
Well instructed video, you should be an educator. I bought the “spider” bracket, the 6 screws, tub seal, front rubber boot and started the project. It took a weekend to complete as i had 2 little helpers taking turns with tools. We went the extra step to wash the drum, the tub, drain pump and tubes and clean all moldy spots before re-assembling. This was a little different model. So far, a week of continuous use, the machine runs like new, the “moldy” smell is gone, and saved about $800 for a new washer. All for less than $175 cost. Thank you for this great video!!!!
This is literally the most informative and well produced help video I’ve ever watched. Man you didn’t miss a single little detail. I’m VERY confident to tear mine apart now. Thank you
This video is awesome! Thanks for taking the time to make it and post it. A local repairman basically recommended I trash my washer because the repair would cost too much. After watching the video and paying around $125 for the spider arm and bolts, my washer runs like new again. It took my brother-in-law and me about 4 hours total to complete the repair. Neither of us had ever dealt with any washer before. I cannot understand why anyone would leave negative feedback. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this video. There were slight variations with my washer which was purchased in 2011, but the spider was indeed corroded and busted in 3 pieces. I purchased the replacement part (wasn’t available on your website) and followed your instructions to re-assemble. Washing machine works perfectly now. When removing the first bolt with the 19mm socket, it broke. If this happens to you, the new spider may not come with the bolt. If it doesn’t, its an M12 x 1.75. Once again, thank you. Accounting for the $170 cost for the part and the 6 bolts, you saved me at least $500 because a new dryer would cost me around $700.
Is there an aftermarket manufacturer that makes a product that solves the corrosion issue? Either a full stainless spider, or some gasketing between the aluminum and stainless, or some other metal that won't be chemically attacked by the stainless steel? I still don't understand how Samsung can legitimately sell replacement aluminum spiders that will immediately restart the anode/cathode corrosion process when the new spider is installed against the stainless steel. ???
@@allanhundeby1675 I’m not sure but if a part like what you describe exists, it would be very expensive to mass produce and include in the washing machine. I did the repair and the washing is still going strong. If the new spider that I purchased and installed years ago ever breaks, then it’s just time to purchase a new washing machine. Good luck.
An absolutely complete guide of repair, explaining every facet of the job waiting for you and any reassembly techniques that boggle many minds afterwards. A brilliant guide for this particular repair and some minor others not listed if you're a stickler for paying attention at the big picture. great job to the author of this V-DIYer. Thanks & Goodluck!
Thank you so much for a great DIY video to replace a Samsung spider. I just completed changing out the spider on my Samsung washer (WF330ANW XAA). I just completed my spider replacement following your video as it went along. There were some changes, but you help me through two very difficult places (removal of the motor and installation of the door boot spring tie). While I was changing out the spider I included changing out the bearings, bearing seal and tub seal. Total cost $180 and took me about seven hours from start to finish. Contacted three area Samsung repair shops to replace, but couldn't get any of the three to replace the spider. They all advised me to replace the washer. Washer runs quiet with no banging around. Really a great video to work along with. Hopefully I will get another 5 years out of it.
My goodness, so much work, but I can't stop watching! Much respect to anyone who does this for a living, especially in confined spaces. I'm sure I would forget half the steps while putting it all back together again and would be done for the day.
My hat off to a real Pro. Such a well organized sequence of actions and detailed procedures that even I was able understand. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us. You will be handsomely compensated. Stay blessed my friend.
I have been DIY'ing for years on various projects. This video is very well done - as good as it gets. I purchased my required parts from their website just as a thank you for how much this video helped me get my 5 year old washer working again like new.
I'm glad to hear our video was able to help you out with your repair! Thank you for choosing to purchase your parts from us as well! Hopefully, it will keep working like new.
I want to thank the good people @AppliancePartsPros for making this video and having a well-done parts ordering website so I could validate that I was getting the correct parts to repair my Samsung Washer. You guys saved me from having to buy a new machine or pay an arm and a leg to get it repaired. The repair was involved but not difficult (other than some rusted components that required a little "percussive maintenance" ) thanks to your excellent and thorough video. Even though my machine was a little different that than one pictured, all the major steps were the same and the washer is working like a champ again. Shame on Samsung for cheaping out on the spider arm part; if it was made of stainless instead of cast aluminum, the washer wouldn't have failed in the first place! But you guys ROCK!!
Clear, precise step by step process outlining parts to order, taking apart the tub, replacing the spider arm assembly, and putting the washer back together. My two biggest challenges: 1) one of the spider arm assembly bolts rounded off and I had a very difficult time getting it off -- finally had to drill it out; 2) for some reason putting the outer clamp on the door seal was tough for me -- I think that I watched that part of the video at least ten times before getting it right. My washer is now back in operation again. THANKS!
Thank you Matt and Appliance Parts Pros. With the use of your great video,I saved hundreds of dollars on my Wf350 Samsung repair. Had a couple bolts on spider arm that had to be drilled out and a couple drain clamps that had to be replaced . I now have a washer that almost runs like new. It did take me longer than the video. Suggestions: Go ahead and dismantle the washer before ordering parts so that you know what all needs to be replaced. I replaced spider arm and bolts , tub seal, door gasket (which did not come with the right connection for Hose).
Spider arm failed on my 8 year old Samsung washer. I’m in the UK so there were some variations to your appliance but the concept was the same. Luckily I only had 3 spider bolts to remove, one requiring drilling out. I would not have diagnosed and gone ahead with the repair if it was not for this fantastically concise video. Thank you.
This video and the parts that I ordered from Appliance Parts Pros saved me hundreds of dollars on a new washer. The parts showed up in 2 days and were an exact match for my Samsung front loader. Highly recommend them!!
Add me to the pile of glowing reviews. Concise how-to that will get you through your repair job even if your model slightly differs from the one shown. It got me through my repair job! Can't recommend these guys enough.
Maann! I just did this repair yesterday. This video is great but it makes everything look like You won't run into any problems. I had one corroded spider bolt that held me up for 90 mins. Finally got it off and was able to continue. Needed help from someone to push the tub back in so that I could secure the motor to the main shaft. This repair took me about 5 hrs!
I'm glad we could help you repair your appliance., though I apologize you had issues. Problems sometimes do pop up when you're DIYing your own appliance repair.
Great video. I did this job in ~5 hrs. My Samsung was a bit different. Spider turned out to be just smelly and a bit corroded but I changed it anyway. I did use etching primer and painted it before putting it in. Glad I bought the screws as four stripped off when removing the old spider. Couldn't and wouldn't have done this job without this video. Especially like that you took the time to show the reassembly rather than just saying it's the reverse. Thanks!
Thank you for this excellent video! The verbal explanations and filming are clear and easy to follow. I was able to successfully replace the spider flange assembly, as well as the oil seal and tub gasket. The old spider was in 4 pieces with gray glop everywhere. While it was apart I took the time to scrub everything including all the drain hoses and drum parts. There were a few minor differences between my machine and the one in the video, but nothing I couldn’t figure out. For < $300 my washer is now like new! Plus, I now know what to keep an eye out for if the spider starts corroding again.
Thanks Matt, excellent instructions , you didn't miss a step , fixed my washer myself and didn't have to spend 1,300 CDN for a new one. Very satisfying , thanks again .
This is better than college education! Wow! If you hate office job, then become a technician fixing appliances, this is the video that will teach you, what a detailed presentation, excellent quality and absolutely no obstructed view. Thanks for a free education.
I discovered this amazing video too late. I had to figure out how to take apart the washing machine myself. Too many pieces and difficult to remember the process. My intention was to disassemble as little as possible, but every time I removed a piece, I had to remove another. However, I only removed the front tube, without removing the rear tube, I think is better that way. Thanks to this video, it is now easier to assemble, it would have been very difficult for me to remember how to assemble the washing machine again. Thank you.
Just wanted to say thanks for the great video. I replaced the spider arm on my Kenmore Model 592-49057 and this video was super helpful. I highly recommend purchasing 6 new bolts for the spider arm assembly. In my experience, only 1 bolt was removed with minimal damage; 4 bolt heads snapped off and the head stripped on last one and I had to drill it out.
Great tutorial!!! Followed it step by step and successfully replaced a bad spider arm. Never thought I would disassemble a washing machine and put it back together :) Thanks!
Outstanding video! I have a similar model, and other than a few hose locations differences, this was spot on! Extremely helpful, step-by-step procedures and tips made this project so much easier. The spider was so bad the spindle literally had separated from the main body. Friggin recycled beer cans!! Thanks again for a great presentation.
After receiving a call from my wife stating that the washer was smoking, I came to this video. You guys did a great job with explaining how to disassemble repair and reassemble my washer. Even though it wasn’t the same model it was pretty close. Thanks for the help and keep up the great work.
Very detailed and clear explanation of each step - video is much appreciated! Make sure you have enough room around the washer to work on (don't disassemble in a small laundry room). You will have many bulky parts to take off.
This is an excellent video. I was able to replace the spider arm on my Samsung washer.. The tech in the video is extremely good at explaining the process. His language is perfectly detailed and precise.
Excellent video on how to. But for me having a 10 year old washer about halfway through the video, I decided this was way too much work and I would just buy a new one. But a special special. Thanks to this gentleman who did an excellent job. The first comments being easy and inexpensive we’re sort of misleading.
Thank you for this video! I ordered the parts from your website and fixed my samsung washer. It's a shame they used a spider arm that would inevitably disintegrate, but maybe I'll get a few more years out of it now. Thanks again.
Best video ever, your instruction is clean and thorough. My wife with no help while I was at work took apart and put together a used Samsung she found as a set on facebook for $600. Once home found the spider arm had fallen apart and punctured the tub. She soldered the tub back together being that it was just plastic to fix the hole and followed your instructions to a T to fix the spider arm. We now have a set that will last a good 5 -10 years and we know what to do in order to keep replacing the parts that wear down the fastest.
Just have to THANK YOU for this incredible tutorial! Our washer konked out on us but thankfully we found your video and took it apart. My dad and I followed the video step by step and managed to find all the necessary replacement parts (including the wave washer on your website) and ordered them online. In a few days, we will begin putting it back together! Can't wait to get our machine back up and running!!! We couldn't have done it without you, and we saved a ton of money on replacing our washer! Thank you!
Perfect video instructions. My model had a few differences in hoses and locations... But this video was a 90+% match. Thank you for creating it. $90 dollars in parts.... hopefully it lasts another 10 years.
Awesome and concise video. Ours slightly different as we have a washer dryer combo but the principles are the same. Made me look like a pro too. Wife is very impressed with me and I saved lots of money. Well done. Thank you.
My washer is needing that assembly changed out as well. I was thinking about changing it out myself, but after washing your video - "I don't think so". You literally had to disassemble the washer in order to change out that one part. There are too many parts for me to remember where they all go, so I'll leave that to the pros. Thanks for the video, you saved me a lot of time and frustrations to say the least.
One of the best DIY videos I've seen! My unit was slightly different, but the major components and connections were similar enough. Ordered the parts yesterday from your site.
That's great, Darren! Glad the video was able to help you out. Once you get the part and start the repair, let us know if you need anymore help with the repair.
Thanks for the detailed step by step instructions.. My washer had the same issue and I followed this video and was able to fix it on my own. Order the spider arm from this company was super easy too.
This saved me several hundred dollars. One piece of advice, buy the spider bolts. I tried to salvage the ones that were in originally but five of the six snapped off. If you can save them just return the new ones but I don’t recommend attempting this without the bolts.
I don't know why so many thumbs down on this video. He's a hard worker and knows what hes doing, And he explained it step by step. Was it the cargo shorts? The dudes haircut? I give the video 👍 👍 UP!
Very helpful instructions! Our WF209 model had a few minor differences but without this video it would have been very hard to replace the spider assembly. Now our machine is working again!
I had this part break over 10 years ago due to galvanic corrosion. The dissimilar metals cause the part to degrade the aluminum. When I got the new Spider arm assembly, I sanded it all down cleaned it with rubbing alcohol, and spray-painted all the aluminum with zinc paint preventing this. The first one broke after 2.5 years. The new one with paint has been working for 11 years now with no issues. I am tempted to take it apart just to see but it's a big job and the time frame with no failure is confirmation enough for me. I would never buy a Samsung again but even if I bought 1 new I would do this right off bat and save myself the trouble and extra damage it causes when they break on spin cycle with a heavy load. What good is a 1-year warranty ? If you are already here it means you will do your own repairs so don't need their labor anyways.
I have a Samsung Model WF218ANS/XAC which was making a lot of clunking noise during spin, it is almost similar to this unit on your step-by-step DIY which helped me a lot to disassemble the unit and turned out that the Spider alm was totally corroded with calcium and built up then caused the spider to cut in 3 pieces, I purchased a spider arm part# DC97-14875B for CAN$168.00 and followed your video, managed to put it all together in 3 hours(cleaning all the parts and wash them off). it is working now as new as it gets! thank you for your great video. I was going to order your parts but unfortunately they do not ship them to Canada but I source a supplier in my town who has the parts. Thanks again and keep up with the good work.
Completed my replacement of the dreaded Samsung spider arm. Replaced both seals and ended up with no leaks. My WF331anw was a slight bit different from the video however no problem with the repair. I had a bit of trouble getting the tub assembly back in the cabinet so I removed three screws at the upper bulk-head to allow the side to flex outward to allow the tub assembly past the front edge of the cabinet.. Took a while (watched the video step by step as I did the step), however it wasn't difficult. Now it spins up smooth. Thanks AppliancePartsPros....
Our 7-year old Samsung started shaking during spin and stopped the spin cycle early. Also it occasionally smoked at the front gasket. When I disassembled it according to this great video, the spider arm was yucky but actually looked okay at first, but on close inspection it had cracks. This was enough to cause the symptoms well before the arm was corroded out like the one in the video.
Glad we could help! Thanks for letting us know how your repair went. You're right, some parts that have failed don't always look damaged upon first inspection, and they don't always fail in the same way.
If I can offer some suggestions as I have done it too, but thanks for you video for giving me an idea on how to get it apart quicker! 1. Removing the drum. If you are by yourself, do yourself a favor and take the weights off the front. Its 2 bolts each and make it easier to release the springs. 2. Speaking of springs, if you are by yourself and struggling, lay the machine on it's side and undo the springs. Then stand it back up. I just let the shocks come apart-you dont care if they do- you can get it out without removing them. Put a little fresh grease on them if you have it. Once out, I would remove the upper halves before reinstall because it's easier to line the bolts up than try to center the barrel and lift it to get the pistons back in. The springs are the FIRST thing I hooked up on reassembly, then the shocks, then the weights. Trouble getting the drum assembly out by yourself? Split it inside and take the halves out. 3. You dont REALLY need a new packing washer (2 tub halves). But that doesn't mean you can be lazy either and not clean it either. Clean it good with water and towels. I pressure washed the inside of my drum housings and drum to get it smelling clean and fresh again (PROTECT THE BEARINGS and MAKE SURE your front seal is in good condition!!!). Use some olive oil or cooking oil to lubricate the seal when reinstalling. Do a run with just a spin cycle empty and some bleach to clean loose residue. ALSO - check your door seal NOW before ordering parts and reassembling! It's not that expensive and if there are signs of it leaking, now is the time to do it while you have the front panel off! See his other video, he shows how to get it off as well. Ordering stuff in advance? Get new bolts for the spider arm - one at least WILL break or round off. Just spend the money on the door seal and bolts NOW, you already saved that amount averting a technician visit or replacing the machine.
You display excellent workmanship. It's a joy to watch and listen. Would that every 'how to' video on TH-cam lived up to such high standards. Thanks so much. You've earned all the gratitude coming your way.
Thank you for making this video. Everything is well explained and detailed. Replaced the spider arm without a hitch, couldn't have done it without this video. Thanks again!
Excellent video and I ordered my part from them. Replacement of spider 🕷 arm, 2 spider 🕷 arm bolts. Tub seal and bottom shaft seal. I cleaned the inner and other tub and all the drain lines to get pieces of spider 🕷 arm out and all other grim. To bad the material that the spider 🕷 arm wasn't a higher grade. When it goes again might have a machine shop fabricate one.
Thanks for posting this. My machine had a few little differences (Kenmore branded Samsung here in Canada) but basically the same machine. I was quoted $600 to repair my machine, I only paid $1000 for my washer dryer set to begin with! I got the flange and 6 new bolts for $200 at Trail Appliances spares shop here in Langley BC and did this myself in a few hours. Few cuts and bruises! Many thanks.
Tip: Get a cheap (24) compartment storage organizer to store the screws/small parts in order of disassembly. Apply a bit of masking tape with the compartment number at the location of the screw/part where it was removed.
That was the most helpful instruction I've had in a long time. Clear, precise, patient. If I need to repair something in the future that I have no idea about, this is the first place I'll look. Great video. Good on ya mate!
My husband watched this video from start to finish several times until he felt comfortable enough to take apart our washing machine to replace the spider. It works perfectly now and this video was the reason we didn't have to buy another washer for the time being - BONUS is that we ordered the parts needed from the website and they came in record time. It's almost shocking how husbands' underclothes piles...pile up when the washer is down and the thought of taking mounds of stuff to the laundromat brings many (okay, just me) to silent tears.
Thank you for this video! I would have had to spend a whole lot more on a new washer! I'm a 30 some year female that is now proud of herself for successfully changing out the spider flange on her own...well mostly, my bf helped with the lifting of the drum in and out and hooking up the springs, but everything else I was able to do on my own. They said this part had been discontinued but luckily I was able tp find it online through Sears. I'm proud of myself for doing this but I definitely couldn't have done it without this video! Thank you!
Great video ! I just did this when washer started shaking too much and stopping at spin cycle. Mostly the same as my washer with minor differences. First I changed shock absorbers even though the ones in there felt fine. Didn't fix it. After some contemplation decided to tackle he spider arm. Worst part is getting the tub out and back in. Needs two people. Nut on back of rotor was tough as well. The arm was not broken as in some videos but it was very dirty and had some corrosion, so I almost closed it back up and returned the part thinking I'd spend money putting it in and not fixing the problem. Was not going to drop more money on bearings. Once I took the arm out it basically disintegrated in my hands though. Seems to have fixed the problem. Total was $280 as I am not returning the absorbers. Only worth to fix it if you want to buy the $800+ models IMO. The cheapest models you can get for around $550. Took hours to go through it.
These video Instructions we're amazing from start to finish! Thank you so much for such clear and concise Instructions! My repair was easy and quick, I did it in 4-5 hours!
Oh, I see. When they’re building a washer there’s a spider arm assembly hanging in mid air, then the rest of the machine is built around it. Thanks for clearing that up!
Great Video was able to replace my broken Spider arm , bearings and bolts. I did find that the tub seal that is available was too big in diameter to fin the small channel on my model. I ended up ordering some waterproof rubber cord from Mc Master Carr and it worked great.
Our washer stopped spinning after a loud bang. Used your vid to take it apart and found the Spider Arm in pieces. It was a fun exploratory surgery (my first with a washer). Unfortunately the part isn't readily available any more and I think I'm gonna buy a brand new top loader for $600 instead of trying to repair this 8 year old for $200+ Would have been and fun project though! Thanks!
Sounds a lot like our situation. A big bang on the spin cycle, now it grinds and wobbles. Plus we are getting the aluminum sand in the sink. Was planning on pulling it apart, but might look around for the parts first.
Thanks for the great video that helped me fix my mom's WF210ANW/XAA which is very similar. It was my first major wash machine repair. A $250 plus sweat repair which saved my mom the extra $500 it would of cost to buy a new similar replacement or professional repair. The hole to place a screwdriver in when taking apart the stator assembly can still damage the stator on my unit so after chipping a small piece of the stator off but totally not breaking it I decided to use an electric impact wrench so the next slip would not break the $100+ stator part. Overall these washer's seem to be a great engineering design, but I'm wondering why they are using a zinc spider assembly? Is there any purpose besides purposeful early failure? This was an $800 machine that was purchased on sale for $600. A repair technician would of charged a $125-150 to diagnose (1 hr minimum rate), then approximately $250 in parts and another $250 to $300 labor to repair. Making repairing as much as a new machine in this class. I paid $154 spider including tax and quick delivery, new $46 rubber boot (old was moldy & chipping) $45 2 bearings main shaft seal and tub seal, $10 spider screw set. As my contribution to the earth I will be forwarding this anti-green designed failure to my Attorney general, to someday help persuade these companies to quit putting dissolving parts in such an otherwise beautiful design.
Major disassembly! I am an eternal optimist and pretty handy. I like the tone of his voice, made me feel like I’m almost done. Haha all ya gotta do is…step 155
Thank yiu SO much for this video. As I live in Canada, it was not feasible to purchase the part from you. I do want to express my appreciation for your excellent DIY. Very well narrated and filmed. Thanks again!
Thank you for this helpful video. This is the second time I’ve had to change the spider arm on my Samsung washer. Next time I’m buying a different make and not front loader.
For anyone replacing this part, make sure you coat the new one with Epoxy Resin Paint. This will totally seal it and you will never have the problem of corrosion and breakdown again.
@@unhhh I understand the differences with the metal but how do you stop the galvanic corrosion then? Coating it would at least help prevent moisture from getting to it. The raw aluminum really wants to corrode especially with all that phosphoric acid in the detergent.
Great video, well explained and easy to understand. And you even show how to reassemble it,Just saved a lot of money. It's running like new. Thank you.
I have the WF461. Between the sides and bolts, it's $200. The big round rubber bit got smoked, that would be another $150+. my first Samsung washer and dryer only lasted 13 months. Lowe's replace it for me. This set lasted me 9 years. All I know is I heard banging it felt like the house was shaking. I went downstairs and the whole laundry room was filled with smoke bellowing out the back and sides. When I open the door, smoke started pouring out of there. It was all burnt rubber smell. It's too bad these things are garbage. I paid quite a pretty penny 9 years ago for these. I was going to buy a new one, however no one is delivering appliances right now because of covid-19. I would replace it myself, however I have the dryer stacked on top which would make the replacement extremely difficult. What a pain. Thanks for the video though.
Thanks for an excellent video. My samsung washer was vibrating violently for quite a while so thinking it was the shocks I changed them to no avail.i then took the drum assembly apart as per the great video and the spider assembly was scummy but seemed intact. I measured the distance from the shaft to 3 points on the spider arms and discovered that the shaft was bent by about 1/4 inch on one side . I ordered a new spider assembly and seal and now it works great, quiet with no vibration. Just a short note to mention another vibration possibility.
I was ready to throw out the washer, but a new one with the drawers would have cost well over $2000, unless I was willing to have a new black washer and a blue dryer. So decided to try to repair it after watching the video. I figured $180 investment in parts was worth the try. It was not hard to disassemble at all. As I did it alone, the hardest part was getting the springs released and getting the tub out. I took the tub to the garage and took it apart. My spider looked just like the one in the movie, only worse. Part coming tomorrow and I can not wait to get it put back together. If it still has a problem, I at least tried and will dump it. My unit required buying half the housing if I wanted new bearings and that part is very expensive so drew the line. My bolts came out pretty easy so did not buy new ones, but did get the seal and front door boot. I will let you know if it works after I get it all done. Fingers crossed. I would not have attempted this if I had not run across this video.
My washer was a “slightly” different version than the one displayed in this video. The steps were 95% the same and the video was a life-saver!! Thank you, this video got me through. A large part of my decision to buy the parts from this company (vs Amazon) was because they tooK the time to provide video instructions. A+ and if I need you again I will not look anywhere else. Bill Tampa,FL
Glad you were able to complete your repair. Glad we were able to help you out. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.

I'm glad the video helped you out with your repair!
5 wrench repair but I did it thanks to this guy! THANKS! Probably saved $800 on what is clearly a massive (if not intentional) design flaw.
Thank you

Totally agree, washer is working great. Thank you for putting this video together.
You're welcome!
I followed this video and replaced the spider arm, tub seal, and drain pump on my first washer repair, ever. Kudos to you, sir.
That's awesome, Chris! We're so glad that we could help!
I bought a spider arm assembly and seal kit did exactly as video showed.. thxs much. Right to the point. Excellent video 👍🏽
Thank you.
You are welcome! Glad you were able to fix your issue! If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
My Samsung had this problem after 12 years. Spider looks like crushed gravel!! This video was extremely helpful!
If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Thanks!
Glad we could help you, Stephen!
What paint did you use on your spider?
AppliancePartsPros I have an issue with mine and it's not the spider
Austin Hennington - It could be on the back of the drum.
bsdguy what do you mean?
Thank you.
You're very welcome. Let us know if there's anything else we can assist with.
Glad we can help! And that's a good point about the bolts!
I don't have this particular problem, but did want to offer kudos. That was the clearest instructional video I have ever seen.
After receiving a call from my wife stating that the washer was smoking, I came to this video. You guys did a great job with explaining how to disassemble repair and reassemble my washer. Even though it wasn’t the same model it was pretty close. Thanks for the help and keep up the great work.
Smoking has been proven to be bad for your health.
Amazingly detailed and informative video. Great job!! What I like is that he does not skip any step. It is literally step-by-step. Thank you.
Very detailed and clear explanation of each step - video is much appreciated! Make sure you have enough room around the washer to work on (don't disassemble in a small laundry room). You will have many bulky parts to take off.
Glad the video helped you out!
I'm sorry for any confusion regarding this repair. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
That's awesome! We love keeping appliances out of the landfill, so we're glad to help!
Thank you!
You're welcome! We're glad the video and the parts on our website are able to help you get your washer working again.
Thank you!!!! Watching our washing machine work again because of you!
Order the spider arm from this company was super easy too.
after viewing your video, it gave me the confidence to tackle my washer job (pump replacement), man you made it so easy, 😀thanks a million
Glad you were able to get your machine working again! If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Looks like this part really ought to be called the “Samsung Sacrifical Anode”
Completed my replacement of the dreaded Samsung spider arm. Replaced both seals and ended up with no leaks. My WF331anw was a slight bit different from the video however no problem with the repair. I had a bit of trouble getting the tub assembly back in the cabinet so I removed three screws at the upper bulk-head to allow the side to flex outward to allow the tub assembly past the front edge of the cabinet..
Took a while (watched the video step by step as I did the step), however it wasn't difficult. Now it spins up smooth.
Thanks AppliancePartsPros....
Glad we were able to help you out, Colton! And thanks for that tip about getting the side to flex to get the tub assembly back in the cabinet.
Thank you for taking the time to walk us through this step by step. It saved me so much time and money, thank you!
so I just fished fixing my washer. you folks saved me a ton of money. that you so much. really, step by step, so easy thank you again
Glad the video helped you get the washer fixed!
This video was great from start to finish, it gave you all the steps from the beginning to the end. Thank you so much for your help.
You're very welcome!
You display excellent workmanship. It's a joy to watch and listen. Would that every 'how to' video on TH-cam lived up to such high standards. Thanks so much. You've earned all the gratitude coming your way.
I was ready to buy a new washing machine, but thanks to this video I was able to fix it myself for under $150. Thanks!
Glad we could help you keep it going!
Thank you for making this video. Everything is well explained and detailed. Replaced the spider arm without a hitch, couldn't have done it without this video. Thanks again!
Glad we could help!
Fantastic video. Replaced my spider arm with zero issues. You guys are awesome!!
Glad you were able to complete your repair. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
You're welcome!
MrSupergee how much would you charge me to do the same repair? I would buy the parts. I’m just down the road in Surrey. Let me know if you interested?
And here's the invoice ... $895/-. Perfect technical video. One person no additional help and no power tools - great job!!!! Thanks.
The drum is running of centre
Made it look so easy! Also part of the prep list is a 5 gallon bucket for all the screws.
Happy to help with your repair!
Thank you! Take it for a spin, lol...you have helped us twice now with washer repair!! Reassembly is key!
This video was spot on. Thank you for taking the time to create such a detailed breakdown and descriptive video to help us all.
This video is of great value, I am grateful to the producers for this service...
You're welcome!
Thank you so much for the extremely detailed takedown and rebuild. Saved me over 2K on a new set.
Thank you.
I took mine apart one day and reassembled everything the next. I also took time to thoroughly clean everything since I had it apart.
Informative video after this repair you have almost fully taken the entire washer apart
Oh, I see. When they’re building a washer there’s a spider arm assembly hanging in mid air, then the rest of the machine is built around it. Thanks for clearing that up!
cracked me up, this is great, exactly how I imagined it too.
@@ericgulseth74 Yup exactly. Yeah see if you can even get the part, might not be worth the trouble of pulling it apart first. Was fun though!
Is there anything we can help you out with?
Thank yiu SO much for this video. As I live in Canada, it was not feasible to purchase the part from you. I do want to express my appreciation for your excellent DIY. Very well narrated and filmed. Thanks again!
I apologize that we don't currently ship to Canada, but I'm glad we could help you with your repair!
Thanks for the tip, glad the video helped you get the washer fixed!
What type/brand of epoxy resin did you use?
That wont work, the center has a stainless shaft pressed into the aluminium this is where galvanic corrosion destroys it anyway.
@@unhhh I understand the differences with the metal but how do you stop the galvanic corrosion then? Coating it would at least help prevent moisture from getting to it. The raw aluminum really wants to corrode especially with all that phosphoric acid in the detergent.
I watched a lot of videos on this problem, but this was the best one, step by step, thank you
Glad we were able to help!
Great video, well explained and easy to understand. And you even show how to reassemble it,Just saved a lot of money. It's running like new. Thank you.
Best Samsung washer teardown ever. Thank you
You are very welcome. If you need help with anything in the future please let us know.
I enjoyed your presentation, and the complete reassembly instead of saying, installation is simply the reverse of disassembly.
EXTREMELY well laid out repair video.
Glad the video helped you get the washer fixed!
