Bach avait 22 ans quand il a écrit cette extraordinaire cantate (1707)... ça laisse rêveur !

C'est sublime. L'angoisse contemporaine en Europe due aux attentats, les tensions entre communautés feraient bien de faire un petit tour chez J.S.BACH. En ce qui me concerne si je suis tourmenté par des problèmes quotidiens de notre époque c'est bien vers BACH et ses cantates que je me tourne.

Bach forma parte de mi vida....me acerca a Dios y en estos momentos por los que estamos pasando todo el mundo (COVID19), recomiendo su escucha para aliviar los sufrimientos.

Bach's text painting is especially beautiful at 8:10: "Cedars must, before the winds, often feel much hardship". The wind is played by the perpetually moving viola da gamba, and the cedars by the trio singing in homophony.
