    I started working at An Amazon warehouse as an FC associate about 2 months ago. Let me tell you, do not try to be fast and overwork yourself because the supervisors are just going to give you more work to do. They are going to notice that you are finishing your assigned task fast and they are going to give you another task even before you finish your first. Just remember that you are getting paid by the hour and everyone else is getting paid the same.

      The way I look at it is, there are tons of jobs in the world & only you make the decision to work there or not so don’t work somewhere you hate & make the best of it. My previous job, I made 3 times more than what Amazon pays and the company treated us worse! When I came to Amazon and got paid less, I was very shocked that majority of the employees loved working there.

      When I hear the negativity working at Amazon I’m thinking these people expect more or a lot out the job and don’t want to work for that extra money or advancement and when they don’t get what they want they start to bad mouth the company or demand extra or more stuff.

    After working at Amazon, I was super glad that I had left. The supervisors were on a complete power trip and the security was even worse. People didn't care about anything. Your stuff is never safe unless you have it in a locker and that includes your winter coat. You get written up for stupid shit like not meeting a quota. They over work you for a shit pay. I am shocked that you were able to get your cell phone past security. To my understanding, that is against Amazon policy. How I know is because I accidentally did that and security was all over my ass. We almost got into a fight, the only thing that stopped us was the supervisor who was standing next to me had seen and heard what was happening. After leaving that company, employees made such a complaint about what was going on. That it actually made the news. As far as their SAFETY goes, their own so called "safety team" was a complete joke. People were hitting each other when driving the machines and speeding. We found out that a yard person working outside was even killed because of poor safety. Another employee was sent to the hospital after being struck by a "reacher" machine which is a larger type of fork lift. Do yourself a favor, think twice before applying and if you do work there. Quit while you still can walk out on your own. Otherwise, watch your ass.

I had all kinds of weird shit happen out there, like flooded buildings, tornadoes, crazy people, etc. I also "borrowed" the company vehicles and taught myself how to drive stick-shift in a truck and how to run a forklift. I once had a kid drag himself like a quarter of a mile up to the building I was in. He'd broken both his legs wrecking his 4-wheeler.

  • @DEviceJR
    @DEviceJR 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Didn't talk about popular topics on why people HATE working at Amazon warehouse, not sure if this is because your distribution center is new and they haven't reached full employment capacity yet or not but here is some food for thought: #1 You have to make "rate", your "rate" is how fast you work, if you meet your "rate" it is slowly increased over time, if you keep failing to make rate you are released from your position. #2 Upward movement within the company is almost impossible, even Jeff Bezos on the record has said 2-3 years is the max he wants warehouse workings working because they lose their "drive" and become too complacent so they manufacture reasons for terminating employment of employees around the 3 year mark. #3 Your break(s) start when you stop working, not when you reach your break room...some of these warehouses are 2+ city blocks long and getting from one spot to another can take 5+ minutes. 15min break? Well, there goes 10min, enjoy your 5min of sitting down time, not to be on your feet for another 4+ hours...enjoy!.

      These people just regurgitate what the media says. If you actually do research the COVID “Vaccine” doesn’t provide immunity. It just prevents severe symptoms. So why force these “vaccine” on people who doesn’t want to get it, if it really doesn’t help eradicate this virus? Plus this virus will be here for YEARS. Don’t expect it to go away like a fever. Viruses are hard to eradicate completely. Look at The Spanish Influenza it was discovered in 1918. Guess what it’s still lingering to this very day. This Covid Virus will just replicate itself to create multiple variants. No “vaccine” can stop that. Only TIME and our own built in Human Immunity can slow this virus and weaken it.

    For my warehouse it’s 120 units per hour in the on foot area and then for the OP areas it’s 80 for the smaller stuff and 55 for the bigger stuff. Also on top of rate per hour there is also your DPMO which tracks all the mistakes you made. You can’t put too much weight into a bin. You can’t put similar items together in the same bin or in adjacent bins. And you can’t scan bins before the item which believe it or not a lot of people do that by accident all the time. There are more “mistakes” that they watch out for but they are more complex and most of the time out of your control because the mistake happened at the station before you.

      @@fu-ckyoutube551 There's a lot of places the ban the use of phones during work hours. There's a big problem of people getting on social media, making non critical phone calls calls and generally wasting time when they are paid to be working. Not only is it a waste of time but while people are doing that they are not at all focused on their job and quality and productivity drop off significantly. There is also the concern of people walking around with their eyes glued to their phone, not looking out for mobile equipment which could run over them. These things might not seem like an issue to you but from an employers perspective they are issues which need to be dealt with. I'm sure any employer who hears the words "I quit" when they tell a person no phones would be more than happy to accept your resignation, they will almost certainly put a note in your HR file that says do not re-employ.

      After 30 days of employment, you can request a transfer to another position or location, it's all done on the Amazon A to Z app.... Also, every 6 months you get a .30 raise (I'll do a video on that later). Just make sure that the position you're switching to is a pay raise. Also, you can speak to management if you are interested in a manager position.

    First off, how did you sneak a video camera onto the floor of Amazon???? It's against Amazon rules to bring personal electronics onto the work floor. You can be fired for that and you showed your face. I used to work as a PA and I know the rules of Amazon. I used to do the tours/training of new hires and I always cover the info of not bringing personal electronics on the floor. I left Amazon years ago for a better job opportunity (more money). I worked in every job task in Amazon...except customer service & forklift driver but I'm surprised you got away with this...if you're still working there. If you are still working there...I would delete this video but it's up to you. 2nd, I believe Amazon is a nice job for younger adults. They will work you nonstop but you will acquire a lot of work skills...which equal to advance job opportunities. Also, nonstop overtime. I learned/worked the entire warehouse in less than 19 months, in my 40's. Yes, picker & stower are the easiest positions in Amazon but a lot of walking. I did my cardio in Amazon but I did my weight training in the gym. I was 24/7 fit year-round and beach body ready. Also, invest in comfortable shoes because you will be on your feet for 12 hours. Don't come there in heels like one female I trained years back...YOU WILL BE SORRY. I hope the info I provided can help someone. I trained a lot of people back in the day and some of them advanced to higher positions. A lot of them, fresh out of high school. Just remember, you're there to work and stay on task.

    • @twistedviewlabs
      @twistedviewlabs 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're exactly right. I'd highly suggest deleting this video as well. My thing too is, you have to put everything in that bucket to go thru security... and guaranteed that sensor would've gone off if you tried to walk thru with a phone in your pocket. I saw a few people asked to hand in their badges for that. I was written up for accidentally bringing in my BT earbuds and my charge cable (2 separate instances).

I know personally that those detectors go ballistic if you so much as have a paperclip in your pocket.. let alone a $1200 phone.
