That depends on how you tie in your ends when you change to your second color. For me I like to tie the joining thread to the center pull of the mr when either after I color change or when it's time to weave in ends. If my second CC color is too high up to directly knot it with the mr pull string, then I'll weave it down until Its close enough to tie them together without bunching the project
I'm in AWE!! you can NOT say you failed!! the size is impressive and the colors compliment each other in such a magical way!! this is a win if i ever saw one 😫💕💕💕💕💕
You're so sweet, thank you. I'm pretty proud of myself, particularly re the colour palette 😊. Tbh I really love matching colours and colour theory and all that.
Chain 4 is just a replacement for the magic loop because it's easier for some people to do than a magic circle. It is ok to do either or. I also prefer a magic loop because the other way doesn't pull closed completely. Awesome blanket by the way.
@@Sammiwuzhere 100%. If you chain 4, slip stitch together, and do the stitches inside the chain 4 ring OVER the tail of yarn, and then later pull the tail of yarn, it should close beautifully. I've begun using this method cause magic rings used to always open up after a while no matter how securly i weaved the end in.
“I don’t know how to convert to yards”. Yes you do, just ask google how many yards your amount of meters is ❤️. It will calculate for you. Love the video btw❤
I think it looks great. Also a meter is only a handful of centimeters longers than a meter. So if a pattern call for 200 yards and your ball is 200 meters, you have more than enough.
new subscriber! I love how the blanket turned out! I made a 12 pointed star baby blanket when my baby was born, but I didn't realize I could make a throw size. You've inspired me to make one!
I've recently learnt a technique to crochet in the tail, but it only works on one of the ends, and I haven't found a good method for the other one, I worry that just crocheting over it won't be secure enough and it will work it's way back out. At least I'll have half the amount next time I guess 😆
You jus popped up on my recommended but I love your vibes & the colors are so cute!! You've inspired me to make the blanket too but I'm going to try and add a straight border onto it. Kinda like a Granny Square lol
I did manage to get a pretty decent chain 4 one time by crocheting over the tail and then it pulled closed pretty well. But still prefer the magic loop 😊
Hi 👋, I just happened upon your channel, new subscriber 😊i love how your blanket came out, its absolutely gorgeous 😍. Im going to make one with Caron Big Cakes in the color rainbow jellys, im going to add a purple skein, and im going to add black to the middle, the single crochet rows and the border.
when u use the magic loop the ends need to be secured more thoroughly than a ch4. i've found/seen a lot of people's ML's come out after use or the washing machine!! also!!! the blanket is SO beautiful
If you're making sure to weave in the end after you've made it wouldn't that keep it secure? I agreed with another person above that I prefer the magic circle as you can pull it closed all the way and you don't see any gap in the centre. 😊
it depends on how you're weaving your ends! if you weave them in one direction only, it's def more likely to slip out, but if you weave the end in different directions then you're fine! i honestly love ML too i've just seen one too many horror stories haha@@alwayslearning9272
how many rows did you do? i think on mine i stopped at 47 and need to do either single crochet & stop or do two more rows of the DC and then the single to end it off but 😩 it takes so long to get around now
I think that is Teal for contrast! That is startling!! Now arrange your colors and see. Take colored pencils and map it out! That will show you if you need to change something!
I know what you mean about trying to figure out how to incorporate a single roll or skein into a project. You just control it like you are truly color controlling.
Wow, it's beautiful!! ❤❤ Failed because it took you 7 days... 😂 That's a joke right.... Thanx for the inspiration, I'll see if I can make the star blanket too. Not in 7 days though 😉
It took a little longer than seven days, cause I took a break after day six but yeah, the failure bit is a little joke 😂. You should totally give a go! 😊
The chain 4 is stronger, a magic loop can undo in the wash and unravel your whole project!

Definitely NOT a fail. You made a GORGEOUS blanket!

I’m a big fan of the magic circle.
I’ve managed to pull the chain 4 completely shut. It works better with cotton blend yarns. And if you give it a firm enough tug it should close :)
@@Sammiwuzhere interesting I’ll have to try that, I typically work with acrylic or wool blends and it just doesn’t seem to close all the way.

I'll have to give that a try, I don't think I've tried crocheting over the tail like that.
* came here for the blanket, staying for the personality. Your blanket is just as beautiful as your soul
Thank you, you’re so sweet 💖

Haha, true.
a yard is about the same as meter anyway :) 91cm
I love how you decided to just start the next color in the sequence. I love how it gave the star more character! ❤❤❤
I love all the colors in your blanket it's beautiful.
OMG! ITS STUNNING! IM IN LOVE! GREAT JOB LOVE! 👏😍😍😍😍👏
Thank you ☺️
Gorgeous blanket!
I love the color combo! It was really fun to follow along with you.
Thank you 😊, I'm really happy with how the colour combos turned out.
The colors you chose are BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you 😊

Thank you 😊, it turned out so good.
I love it! I just started making one, and it’s so fun to see the colors everyone picks
I love seeing all the amazing colour combos people come up with. Good luck with your blanket, what colours are you using?
@@lilijane.createsI am going for like a forest witch vibe? Haha I have a lot of green and brown and gray and blue, we’ll see how it goes!
Oooh that sounds lovely 💖
Great colors and perfectly done. Great job!
Thank you 😊
I like the Magic Ring myself!! I'm like you, I HATE the loop and joining.
Phenomenal job your blanket looks beautiful!!!!
I've been crocheting for not even a week and just barely have the basic stitches down. Now I want to make one of these, your's turned out so good!
Thank you, I feel like you could make this as a relatively beginner crocheter, if you feel comfortable with the basics I think you could do it 💖
It's so pretty! I can't wait to see what you create next!
Beautiful blanket!!
I love how your star blanket turned out… Awesome job sweetie!
Thank you 💖
This is such a beautiful blanket. I LOVE the colors!!
Thank you! 😊
Your voice is so soothing I love sitting here and watching and maybe even picking up one of my wips 😊
Thank you, honestly that means so much to me 💖

Very beatiful star blanket

Yes a chain 4 is stronger. Though I understand the magic ring is really fun to pull together!
So satisfying 😂
Absolutely Gorgeous 💖💖💖🌞!
Amazing blanket you can weave the ends in as you go so you don't have a load to weave in at the end

Beautiful blanket and you just got a new subscriber🎉, great job, love the content ❤

i definitely know what you mean about the chain 4 vs magic ring, i also very strongly prefer the magic ring!
I did manage to get a pretty decent chain 4 one time by crocheting over the tail and then it pulled closed pretty well. But still prefer the magic loop 😊
Another Aussie crocheter! Hi friend! Your blanket turned out wonderful!
Hi friend, thank you 😊

Loved watching this video!! Inspired me to make one :)
You should 💖
Very very pretty blanket i love it
thank you so much
New subscriber here, carry on the lovely videos.
no its not a fail!!! to do that much in 6 days, its great progress and its beautiful also hands are more imp than finishing a blanket
100 percent agree, I don't feel like I failed at all. And I would much rather protect my hands so I can crochet for many years to come 😊
sooo beautiful!!!!
Thank you 😊
Very beautiful 😍 💜
Thank you 💖

I love Caron cakes, I’m currently making another star blanket out of one of the baby cakes in the dreamy violet colour way
@lilijane.creates That's cool, I want to eventually make all of the 6 day star blankets and the 6 day kid blanket too.
the colors ended up looking so adorable omg! Also your channel is so cute im definitely subscribing ;;

I'm so paranoid I've never been game enough to wash anything I've made in the machine, typically I just hand wash things 😂
@@alwayslearning9272I normally give a pretty long tail and weave it in a bunch, and fingers crossed, touch wood, I've never had one come undone.

Current watching this while making a blanket😂

I'm pretty sure I had 46 rows including the reverse single crochet row, I have found this to be a good size, however, I am 5 foot on a good day 🤣
Beautifully ❤️😁🌹
thank you 😊
Why do we have cat hair on our yarn! Because we are amazing!
Need the cat seal of approval 😂

This is sooo cute. I would never use so many colors because i am way too lazy to weave in all the ends😂
The ends were a nightmare 😂
Beautiful blanket!
Gorgeous blanket!!!
Thank you 😊
