Love how you go about this! I don’t have any leftovers yet except a few tiny bits from my not-yet-finished Persian tiles blanket, and from my grandma. I’ve only started crocheting beginning of this year, so making a project bag and/or basket sounds so cool‘
Hi there, another great video. I keep my leftovers and wind them up on my ballwinder, knotting them together as I go. Like yarn with like. When I have enough, I hold it with at least 2 other yarns - one main colour (like white baby yarn) and one contrast - whatever I have. Maybe even 2 scrappy balls at times. And I make the baskets you showed. Also shopping type bags. I think the white baby yarn works like a 'carrier' yarn, supporting the knots, so I don't have to weave in all the ends. These have been very well recieved by friends and family, and admired when I go up the street. As for the cotton, I have been making 30cm squares to try out new stitches, both crochet and knit, and using them as wash cloths. This way I can try a new stitch but not get too bored by them if I don't have a big project in mind. I am not into socks much, cause I don't wear them myself. But these light yarns can also be used in bags, blankets and more. Never such a thing as 'unuseable' yarn
Hi! Wow, that's such a great idea, knotting leftovers together and using white yarn as a carrier later. I'll do this for some of my leftovers instead of starting projects I'm not sure I'll finish. Thank you for sharing!
