The most intensive area is in the town of strawberry. Especially when you stand at the police station and look opposite towards the whole town. I did not find more intensive area than this.
This would be useless and pointless in a desktop cpu. Its ultra low power so its only suited for laptops. If you have a desktop youre much better off just getting a normal graphics card like a gtx 950
2:55 25fps is playable depending on the game. Witcher 3, and by extension this; as they both are not fast paced shooters are very playable at a stable 25fps. I actually played a bit of the witcher 3 as an experiment on a gt520m, and an i3 2330m. Really not great; but if it were able to eek out just 2 or 3 fps more, it would never drop below 15, and for the witcher 3 you need at least 15 fps before it doesn't run in slow motion. (I was using 700x394 at a bit lower than what the game allows for by the menu; mostly foliage distances and shadows were lowered)
Honestly most games are pretty unplayable under 25 fps. On top of that if you play at a resolution lower than 720p at that point you just like hurting your eyes that just isnt a good experience for most sane people.

I would agree, if you are desperate enough even 15 to 20 fps is enough. Lol. Before i built my new pc, i would actually play valheim on low settings and 19fps average with horrible stuttering, It actually convinced me to finally build a new pc despite the state of the gpu market.

It's doesn't bother me back in the day, but after I know how to check fps everything changed. I have similar specifications for my laptop Intel i5 core CPU Iris XE graphics 16GB RAM And my game still lagged like crazy even after restarting it. Then I saw your video, went back to my settings and sure enough, the game does the same to me too. It always goes back to default settings once restarted. It works wonders on medium settings, steady FPS no lag. But the only problem is it always goes back to default after exiting. Edit: only textures are on high, and 720p, runs at steady 50-55 FPS. When restarting the game, it all goes to ultra and the FPS drops below 30.
I have the same exact specs as you and the game will not launch. Am I doing something wrong? Both the graphics card and the pc are up to date. I continue to get an error message when I try to start up the game.

For older games indeed. Like Farcry 3 or so. That play fine even on a gt1030 and maybe it would play fine on iris graphics too. For comparison: Intel HD 4000 and Farcry 3 isn't a good thing. 20 to 25 FPS isn't playable for me. Iris graphics would do better for sure. But for newer games like Farcry 6 or RDR2 just... Eh... No. Better buy a used r7 290 or gtx1050 or similar for 50 to 90 bucks.

For example, I play genshin impact on a daily basis, and it's artifacting to hell, broken water textures in rdr2, gow doesn't load textures at all (it does actually, but it's beyond low quality, almost unrecognizable), also literally getting 1fps on valorant even on menu. These are a few examples that I encountered. they fall behind fixes and optimizations of team green and red. some of team red's older apu based on their new architecture sometimes beat the newer "supposedly" more powerful blue counterpart. no hate on the blue side, I think they've come so far but they could definitely do just a tad bit better on delivering driver updates and fixes

Because iris graphics isn't that powerful. So the CPU and iGPU has (sadly) a given total power consumption. For example 100 watt total. CPU needs 90 watt and iGPU needs 30 watt. That would make 120 watt. But it's limited to 100 watt TDP so the CPU uses 90 watt and the iGPU is only allowed to draw 10 watt so it won't shoot over given TDP. Therefore it's 100% usage even it could do better performance. I'll hope this could explain the 100% usage. If I'm wrong then please correct me. Seen this scenario on an Acer v series notebook with Intel i3 CPU. The CPU can use all the power or the iGPU can use all the power. But not both can use all the power that they could use.
A couple of points here, You aren't an "idiot" for saying that 25fps is bad, but you definitely occasionally come across a little too much of a "hater" of consoles. I'm not saying you ARE, I love your content, but saying "console like experience" regularly in videos for 30 with some dips on low settings is ridiculous. PS4 is usually medium settings even on current titles, and the current gen of games are running mostly high settings, dynamic 4k, and 60fps. Then 1080p120 in some titles as well, which is far better than most mid spec PCs. I'm not a console shill, I have both a 3090 and a 3070ti rig, but there's no denying the things I've just said As another point also, as constructive criticism, I do feel you are too quick to dismiss other people's areas as actual benchmarks. For instance, most people tell you St Denis is the heaviest, and it is unless playing at low settings. The areas you test are heavier because of the low settings, St Denis at night pushes GPU utilization up by around 10% over the swamp on a 3090 at a CPU limited resolution using maximum settings. Its also around 35% more intensive than Valentine, which I know you use a lot. Another example would be when you test Cyberpunk and you're forever saying that the roundabout is the heaviest area, when anybody who has played more than a few hours of the game will confirm the Japantown area is roughly 25% heavier than anywhere else in the game at night time. Neither of these are intended as personal, purely constructive criticism.
I play Thief Simulator on My Switch and that gets like 15 fps, but I still have fun playing it. Doom luckily has really good motion blur, which makes it seem like its getting infinite FPS on the Switch. lol Though I do prefer to try and get at least 75FPS on PC. That way the minimums are still over 60 and it plays smoother. I don't see all the hate on motion blur COUCH LINUS COUGH it can make a game look like it's running so much smoother.
Yes I find motion blur very good for making the fps looks like it doubles.but sometime it can be annoying and it is not recommended to turn on motion blur when playing games competitively because you might miss some important detail on the screen
Better than a gt710 isn't a world wonder 😂👍🏻 the 710 is - like the description said - a display adapter for up to three monitors. Nothing more. It's painfully slow just like a Intel HD3000.

I would say 25- 30fps is playable on Some live action rpg, but the experience won't be very good. 30fps would be bad for fps games like borderlands 3.

The open GL graphics API is less intensive than the Vulkan! I've tested like 10 times and with Open GL, you will get slightly more FPS like 2 to 5 FPS
Red Dead 2 doesn't have OpenGL? Only DX12 and Vulkan.

I play Thief Simulator on My Switch and that gets like 15 fps, but I still have fun playing it. Doom luckily has really good motion blur, which makes it seem like its getting infinite FPS on the Switch. lol Though I do prefer to try and get at least 75FPS on PC. That way the minimums are still over 60 and it plays smoother.
I don't see all the hate on motion blur COUCH LINUS COUGH it can make a game look like it's running so much smoother.
Yes I find motion blur very good for making the fps looks like it doubles.but sometime it can be annoying and it is not recommended to turn on motion blur when playing games competitively because you might miss some important detail on the screen

Better than a gt710 isn't a world wonder 😂👍🏻 the 710 is - like the description said - a display adapter for up to three monitors. Nothing more. It's painfully slow just like a Intel HD3000.
