The Netherlands being an exception where the average is around 6 ft. The problem with “average height” is it doesn’t take into account people who have had health problems/medication that has effected their endocrine system and caused short stature or effected their adult height. There’s a LOT of variables that come into play with height, such as lifestyle, nutrition, health problems etc.

I can easily appear 6ft depending on who I'm next to, my footwear and what level ground I choose to stand on. Yea. It definitely matters what shoes you got on. And as you get older your height can go up or down. They say your body can still grow until your like in 23-25 or something I can't remember exactly. But Yea. I've always been 5'11 6ft at most. but stand next to someone 6'2 and they not be so tall but stand next to 5'8 or so and I'm not to much. @@taylormcgarry470 Proportions matter. If you are 6ft with rather long legs and high shoulders you will appear taller. Get some good shoes and you can look 6.1 or even 6.2 feet. But to be honest there is not such a noticable difference in the range of 5.11 to 6.1. It mostly depends on your physique how you are seen. Wide shoulders, small hips and you will look bigger than you actually are. Just look at stallone next to schwarzenegger or lundgren, he looks smaller but it's not as striking as you would expect it to be. Hit the gym and most men really don't have to worry about height as much as they do.

The 90's were a different time, especially for body builders. Things like a couple inches or a few lbs meant the world. Guess when you've been altering your height with different footwear for so many years it's just something that you do naturally. I'd take a guess and say a solid 5'7
Back in 2005, 2006 and 2007, I worked and lived near Los Angeles for various companies like Sportschalet, Gelson's market, Wholefoods. At one of these companies, I don't remember which one, but someone told me they had done a delivery or catering to certain celebrity mansions and that person told me they had actually met Sylvester and that he was actually a short man but very well fit and a very nice guy. Same thing with Patrick Swayze, some people here in Texas where I live, told me they had met him or came across him and he was actually short. What makes these men look taller is their fitness, body frame, and the way they carry themselves. They're frame is of an alpha and of a leader. Ofcourse, sometimes there are the shoes, the camera effects like standing on a stool, but also, exercise and certain stretches can help stretch your spine and neck to it's full length making you a bit taller. As we age, we tend to lose a bit height from these disks in our spine contracting a bit, but if we do certain stretches and exercises combined with good sleep and posture, we can regain or even expand our height by just a few inches.
In movies they prefer short actors. I remember reading about Hugh Jackman almost missing out on the wolverine role because he was too tall according to them.
But, that would only depend on the part. Most movie rolls prefer the tall actors, that’s why they usually want to be tall! Look at most of the bigger stars from even way back! T A L L ! Like Cruise, it’s a known fact how he envies the tall actors in his ‘class’. John Travolta for one. He has it all! (0r did, when he had all his hair!). 😆😁.

Re the picture with Glenn -we could not see Stallones shoes and I can't believe that back when he was younger he would not have had any lifts or assists of any kind in that picture. As you state he still only looks 5ft 8 so I still think we can't rule our 5ft 7 which is what I think he is. Watch Rocky IV - Lundgren on a box was done for Carl Weathers who is a similar height to Lundgren and when they fight suddenly this is confirmed! There are long shots of Stallone and Lundgren in the ring with Stallone clearly in flats and there is a 7 inch difference between them so no box is needed. I think Stallone is 5ft 7 and Lundgren was only ever 6ft 2 and has only ever been 6ft 4 when wearing lifts himself. I met Stallone many times at the gym. Also had my picture taken with him. At most he is 5'10". He has a very long face. If interested about his weight on a very strict diet for Rocky III with no steroids he weighed 164. On steroids in the late 80's he weighed 189.

@@taylormcgarry470 Proportions matter. If you are 6ft with rather long legs and high shoulders you will appear taller. Get some good shoes and you can look 6.1 or even 6.2 feet. But to be honest there is not such a noticable difference in the range of 5.11 to 6.1. It mostly depends on your physique how you are seen. Wide shoulders, small hips and you will look bigger than you actually are. Just look at stallone next to schwarzenegger or lundgren, he looks smaller but it's not as striking as you would expect it to be. Hit the gym and most men really don't have to worry about height as much as they do.

Hmm de niro is very good but he doesn’t have the “presence” that sly has. His bodybuilding through the years and action roles make him seem very believable in his roles. He’s also a strong guy. All this stuff translates on screen. Some things you just can’t “act” you have to have it for real, such as being in shape, carrying yourself in a certain way etc. Bruce lee had it, Stallone has it.

With the average height for instance for Men in Norway being 6'1" if I were that height living there I'd be wearing my elevators all the time. Judging by his honest photo with his tall ex-wife Brigitte Nielsen plus other photos with celebs, especially tall ones like Steven Seagal, Dolph Lundgren Nicole Kidman and Clint Eastwood, I came to the conclusion that Stallone was probably an inch shorter than his claim (around 5ft9 1/2 without shoes) but clearely used special shoes to look 5f11-6ft.....but it doesn't matter at all, since the guy is A GIANT in Hollywood and in our hearts. Back in 2005, 2006 and 2007, I worked and lived near Los Angeles for various companies like Sportschalet, Gelson's market, Wholefoods. At one of these companies, I don't remember which one, but someone told me they had done a delivery or catering to certain celebrity mansions and that person told me they had actually met Sylvester and that he was actually a short man but very well fit and a very nice guy. Same thing with Patrick Swayze, some people here in Texas where I live, told me they had met him or came across him and he was actually short. What makes these men look taller is their fitness, body frame, and the way they carry themselves. They're frame is of an alpha and of a leader. Ofcourse, sometimes there are the shoes, the camera effects like standing on a stool, but also, exercise and certain stretches can help stretch your spine and neck to it's full length making you a bit taller. As we age, we tend to lose a bit height from these disks in our spine contracting a bit, but if we do certain stretches and exercises combined with good sleep and posture, we can regain or even expand our height by just a few inches.
In movies they prefer short actors. I remember reading about Hugh Jackman almost missing out on the wolverine role because he was too tall according to them.

Re the picture with Glenn -we could not see Stallones shoes and I can't believe that back when he was younger he would not have had any lifts or assists of any kind in that picture. As you state he still only looks 5ft 8 so I still think we can't rule our 5ft 7 which is what I think he is. Watch Rocky IV - Lundgren on a box was done for Carl Weathers who is a similar height to Lundgren and when they fight suddenly this is confirmed! There are long shots of Stallone and Lundgren in the ring with Stallone clearly in flats and there is a 7 inch difference between them so no box is needed. I think Stallone is 5ft 7 and Lundgren was only ever 6ft 2 and has only ever been 6ft 4 when wearing lifts himself. I have met him as you have and he is as short as 6ft 1 now, too big a shrinkage for a 6ft 4 man in his early 60s.

I met Stallone many times at the gym. Also had my picture taken with him. At most he is 5'10". He has a very long face. If interested about his weight on a very strict diet for Rocky III with no steroids he weighed 164. On steroids in the late 80's he weighed 189.

Really, no matter how tall a guy is, elevator shoes do help with posture. But their main clients are 5'6" and under.
