As a mexican fan of TRG, I like how your comment actually describes the mexican - spanish saying. "Put yourself in My Shoes". So It feels nice to know different cultures in the world have similar mindsets for things in Life though 👑
Jon getting incredibly lucky, and Emile having the worst luck? Okay, who started tearing holes in the fabric of reality? I think a parallel universe is bleeding in.
Emile's luck is always very strong, regardless of if it's good or bad. That means his good luck is amazing luck, but his bad luck is horrendously bad. The dog races in his Majora's Mask LP is a great example, but I think the perfect example is TRG's Mario Party 8 LP of Koopa's Tycoon Town. That board is the only time I've seen Emile actually angry. Even Jon feels sorry for him there.
Ok the ending was freaking hilarious with Jon being electrocuted as he gets two stars. XD Edit: I feel like Electric Waluigi is a funny moment all on it's own.
Personally, my favorite thing with the runaway guys and the biggest appeal of them as a group is just them playing game and having a good time, thank you for all that you guys have done for me
Watching lucahjin primes me to find innuendos in everything. "You're that...? Oh, you are that close" "Ah, it's so hard!" "How is 3-on-1 supposed to work?" "Every time with the sandwich" "Here's me putting [the banana] away in my pants" "Well, apparently it was building up inside you all that time"
So I'm not sure if this has been said before but in MP it's actually "so ein Mist" so it's funny that in later games it became "D'oh I missed" through misheard voice lines. It's like it really was an inside joke!
Snow Brawl is hands down my favourite mini game in the entire Mario Party franchise. Either that or the Eight-player minigame in 7 where you had to run down a path to get a key.
7:16 Koopa: Oh! A suck- ulp! I mean customer! Welcome to the almost world-famous, mostly fabulous Swap Fest! It's a game for everybody! Whaddya say? Yoshi: Nuh-uh. Koopa: What? Come on! Everyone goes home a winner! Come back, man...
8:59 no it's reverse TSA, the things that are harmless are halted and confiscated basically to be stolen, while what are essentially concussive weapons and explosives are let through.
Funny episode! I still think 5 is a better game overall, due to the reasons I mentioned earlier. Mario Party 4 is my favorite game of all time. Emile's fails with the Bullet Bill and Waluigi's electro-fist bump were my favorite moments.
1:42 My advice for this minigame - Always start standing on the side of the lasers. Then when the lasers are emitted you have a second or two to run around and avoid the lasers. Takes practice, but if you do it right and use the side as the base, you'll have no problem dodging the lasers. 6:03 This game's my favourite in MP6. For the one player, retreat to the back and rush back up to take a throw just after the other players take their first throws.
No one really has a clear advantage on this board right now, so it's definitely anyone's game at the moment. But I do think right now that Tim has the best chance to win at the moment
1:48 I've been playing through Mega Man 3 and immediately thought "Gemini Laser" when the minigame came up. Also, "I'm a farmer in Malaysia" had me rolling!
Rolling a 1 with a Bullet Bill Orb. Ouch. Well, I rolled a 1 with a Metal Mushroom Orb in MP7 once. I wasn't very happy about that because it forced me to get affected by a Zap Orb ahead of me
6:22 Wait, Super Paper Mario was supposed to be a Gamecube game? Dang, I didn't know that. Need to look that up; thanks for the pointer. 13:23 I was _so_ waiting for the 1. :D And I'd bet anything that I wasn't the only one. ;)
Actually, according to my sources (ie the Super Mario Wiki), Thomas Spindler, Wario's voice actor in those games, said that Wario is saying "So ein mist" in Mario Party 1 and 2 which, according to my sources (Google Translate) is German for "Such a crap".
The literal translation doesn't _quite_ work here, though. ;) "Mist" is actually "dung", and the phrase is basically the German equivalent of "aww, dangit!" On another note, German capitalizes nouns, so for those who want to look really super-informed, it's: "So ein Mist!" ^^
kagemaru397 ...well, I did a bit of an etymological analysis for you, but a warning beforehand, we'll be having this discussion IN THE BATHROOM. ;) When Germans say "Mist", they usually think of manure or fertilizer. According to the net, the word has its roots in the Germanic "meigh" meaning "to urinate", which makes sense, since non-chemical fertilizers are usually droppings from animals. Considering that, the word doesn't seem so strange anymore - after all, one of the definitions I found for the _English_ "mist" is "fine drops of a liquid, such as water, perfume, or medication". It makes perfect sense to me that that would come from the same root. So yeah, they're, let's say, thematically related, but the word "Mist" doesn't actually have anything to do with the many synonyms for "crap". ;) Hope that answers your question. Sorry if I went a little overboard there, but I really love little bits of language trivia. :)
It's better translated as "Oh crap" or "Oh Shit". As if something bad just happened (which is why Wario's German VA said it whenever something bad happened to Wario).
Excalibarsonic ...er, no. ;) Sorry. That's "Scheiße!" - you know, that swear that Masae kept using during the last TRG stream for some reason. "So ein Mist!" is used in the same situation, but is a much, much milder form of expressing your displeasure. So "Aw, dangit!" seems to be the closest equivalent to that.
This board is making me so tense... I want Tim to win so badly, and this has definitely been his best chance to win a board this game. If he can only win one MP6 board, this is the one I'd want it to be.
Chugga and Jon swap bodies. One discovers the wonders of doing Daisy on hard and puns while the other finds out all about lousiness and bad luck. And every time it happens, Tim farts. There's your fanfiction!
As funny as it was to see Jon get shocked at the end, I think it was well worth it for him to loop to the right and head upwards from there. The coin zap could have prevented the other two from getting one more star.
I have actually seen someone get a triple 8 and step on a shock shell 3 spaces in. XD They went all they way up to the star, couldn't buy it anymore, had to go back to start and went on for another 5 or 6 spaces getting zapped the whole way. That was the funniest roll I've ever seen in a Mario Party. :D
Guess Waluigi's got the power. 0:24 Peach never said "D'oh I missed". It's been "Oh, I missed." Then again, this is Emile we're talking about. 1:16 Wouldn't be surprised. There was a time where Nintendo employees also contributed to small time voiced parts like Dan Owsen's "Last Metroid" bit. Pretty sure he also did the SNES Star Fox "Good luck!" 2:04 I do like how in the back, you can see the meter move as the laser charges and discharges. 3:19 And now for the second saddest Bullet Bill in existence. 7:08 Sorta? The boards aren't as nice as you think they are when you consider that they're a rather plain foreground over a really nicely animated background. Except it's not Stars in the daytime; it's coins. 10:13 Just when it was shaping up to be Tim's game, he brain farts. 13:34 Shame too because I think Bullet Bills also give a pseudo-Metal Mushroom effect except instead of disabling a trap, it just doesn't trigger it. On the flip side though, it won't stop for Star spaces or things like the Roulette and Magical Hat either.
Tricia McMillan True, but Emile at least knows that in overseas versions of MP1/2 that Wario's saying "So ein mist" (as he said on a trivia game show once, "[he] is the master of 'D'oh I missed.' Don't doubt me.") and has shared that with the TRG audience during the LPs of those two games. Somehow, I don't get that same knowledgeable impression when he speaks of Peach and "D'oh I missed" and think that he genuinely thinks that Peach is saying "D'oh I missed."
3:58, I would like to contribute about Pop Star. In my Let's Play Videos for Mario Party 6, I had that mini-game as the #1 Worst Mini-Game to play in. Reasons because is fine with you deal with normal or easy AIs; however, in Brutal, Hard, or you have certain players, there is no way that one player can beat the other three. It's hell hard with button mashing, just like Gondala. So no matter what you do, you're best of luck is to have an alt-fire controller, or be a really good button masher (just like Tim). So that's my opinion.
No character in the Mario franchise has ever said "Doh I missed". Wario spoke German for a while (so ein mist), and Peach said "oh, I missed?". I've heard people claim that Chugga knows that it's not real, but I've never actually seen him acknowledge that.
What I would give for an April Fools video where Jon pretends to be Emile, Emile pretends to be Jon, and Tim is just desperately trying to pretend like everything is fine!!
I think the game intentionally gave Chugga a roll dice of 1 at 3:15. I think it's the game's way of preventing someone from riding up a ladder or space so they didn't have to animate it. Either that or Chugga is extremely unlucky. The only "proof" I have that this is the case is Wario got a 1 when he used his bullet bill earlier and he was about to climb a ladder, too.
You dont know what a person has to deal with until you walk a mile in their shoes, in Jon's case the mile will take forever to complete.
OMG xD This is gold right here
Doh 1 missed.
Brilliant!
And Tim is his biggest rival as well. Maybe you're not so far off.
Maybe that caused the corruption at the end of the last board
Hubris for all the bullshit Chuggaa memed into reality in all the previous Mario Party Installments.
Edit: I feel like Electric Waluigi is a funny moment all on it's own.
yoshirocks92 why'd I fist bump myself now I've gone full circuit
Sure is and it is quite funny to watch him getting electrocuted on his way to get the stars !
yoshirocks92
I want to see this animated
Oh man, I can see this being animated as well.
Waluigi 2: Electric Boogaloo
Personally, my favorite thing with the runaway guys and the biggest appeal of them as a group is just them playing game and having a good time, thank you for all that you guys have done for me
Waluigi left us in shock and awe.
The most electrifying personality on the board!
Everyone was like "Watt?"
That was quite Thunderous
TV tropes shoutout!
5:11 They skipped over the text so fast I actually read "Fuck over 10 coins!"
+DaKing23 It'd be like, "Fuck over 10 coins right now!"
Faire Square
Square

Daisy's heart-shaped box
It's all connected.
Tobias Kuula Plus this was the board they played when that meme started.
It was fate.
It's like poetry, they rhyme.
you realize it's SQUARE as in a block plaza place or something right..... not a literal correctly formed Square XD
Tobias Kuula Heart Shaped Box

"Every time with the sandwich"
"Here's me putting [the banana] away in my pants"
"Well, apparently it was building up inside you all that time"
Goodnight everybody!
Jon's Waluigi impression while under the influence of the zap orb is so funny it made me pee my pants a bit.
Why did you feel the need to share that?
Why did you feel the need to respond to that?
because I am trying to be immature.
He'd make a good voice actor.
VanishEclipse4867 oh.... ok..... glad to know...?
Someone needs to sue that Bullet Bill factory.
So I'm not sure if this has been said before but in MP it's actually "so ein Mist" so it's funny that in later games it became "D'oh I missed" through misheard voice lines. It's like it really was an inside joke!
It's really weird, because I like Jon and Tim, but I always end up rooting for Emile. I guess I just find it funnier when he wins.
Same.
I usually root for Tim, yet I've watched his videos the least.
I've been rooting for either Tim or the AI, cause Emile is kind of annoying in Mario Party and Jon's constant victories have been getting old XD
I actually typically root for Jon to win. He seems to be the better player at a majority of these, even those he barely has played.
Tyrique Smith I always root for Tim in Mario Party.
0:15 D'oh I DIDN'T MISS!
16:33 WALUIGI HAS THE POWEEEEEEEEEEEER!! UNLIMITED POWEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!!
Snow Brawl is hands down my favourite mini game in the entire Mario Party franchise. Either that or the Eight-player minigame in 7 where you had to run down a path to get a key.
From Emile getting a 1 with that bullet bill to Tim using a mushroom when there was an amp in front of him. This board really is getting interesting.
Waluigi in the thumbnail is definitely saying "Unlimited PO-WAAAAAAAH!" Don't even try to deny it.
7:16
Koopa: Oh! A suck- ulp! I mean customer! Welcome to the almost world-famous, mostly fabulous Swap Fest! It's a game for everybody! Whaddya say?

Koopa: What? Come on! Everyone goes home a winner! Come back, man...
Remember that Chuggaaconroy has a Wario plush with a build-a-bear voice recorder that says D'oh I missed in it

Repeat minigames from board to board? Why not the same game twice in one turn?!?
According to Behind the Voice Actors, Wario was originally voice acting by German voice actor, Thomas Spindler.
Tim's laugh at 13:24 was priceless
Emile rolling that one on the Bullet Bill. Priceless!
Thomas Spindler changed Emile's Life.
1:42 My advice for this minigame - Always start standing on the side of the lasers. Then when the lasers are emitted you have a second or two to run around and avoid the lasers. Takes practice, but if you do it right and use the side as the base, you'll have no problem dodging the lasers.

*sees the thumbnail and thinks* has Waluigi become Black Adam? xD
LetsleyPlays SHAZAM!
You mean "WAHZAM!"
Maybe it's his way of brainwashing them into shopping at his Bridal Boutique when they're old enough? xD
Black Adam, more like Black AdAMP
Drizzle Witch EMILE!
Mario Party Sun and Moon Part 14. This board, this LP, and this game never ceases to interest me.
Watching the electrocuted Waluigi get the stars while STILL being fried to a crisp made me roll off my chair laughing.
Law of any game with dice: NEVER say "I need at least a..."
No one really has a clear advantage on this board right now, so it's definitely anyone's game at the moment. But I do think right now that Tim has the best chance to win at the moment
"argh, god it's so hard" - john, 2017

😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Waluigi has gained the power of electricity! That was hilarious...
Thanks for the episode, guys!
Electric Waluigi confirmed for Super Smash Bros Infinite.
Seriously someone mod that in.
Chugs: "I need at least a 3"
*rolls a 1*
Me: We all knew that was coming! XD
That ending. Because electricity is my favorite element, that's automatically one of my top favorite moments of TRG! It was also funny XD.
16:32
THE POWER COURSES THROUGH ME!
[The thumbnail] This is origin story of Steel Thunder(ProtonJon's Little Big Planet 2 SackBoy).
6:20 THAT'S why Mario Party 8 has those weird space-filling designs on the left and right? It all finally makes sense now.
Calling it now, Emile gets low roll to not get the star, night begins next turn and the stars are 5 coins each.
Josh Martin Or 40.
But you can still only buy up to five stars at once.
I forgot that.
1:48 I've been playing through Mega Man 3 and immediately thought "Gemini Laser" when the minigame came up.
Also, "I'm a farmer in Malaysia" had me rolling!
"today on 'a day in the life of Jon'" Best moment. *laughs*
ok the waluigi voice too, it ALWAYS funny
ya'll really gotta tune down the volume when conroy starts screaming. like damn.
Rolling a 1 with a Bullet Bill Orb. Ouch. Well, I rolled a 1 with a Metal Mushroom Orb in MP7 once. I wasn't very happy about that because it forced me to get affected by a Zap Orb ahead of me
UNLIMITED PANCAKES!
Because that's what the thumbnail made me think of.
This is the only Mario party game I own. Cool to see you guys enjoying it so far.
6:22 Wait, Super Paper Mario was supposed to be a Gamecube game? Dang, I didn't know that. Need to look that up; thanks for the pointer.
13:23 I was _so_ waiting for the 1. :D And I'd bet anything that I wasn't the only one. ;)
Super Saiyan 2 Waluigi
I know what Emile said is "I'm a firing my Lazer!" but who else heard "I'm a fire in Malaysia!"
I'm pretty sure he actually _did_ say "I'm a farmer in Malaysia!" It's a humorous variant on the meme.
MrOmegatronic oh that makes sense
Yes, he said "I'm a farmer in Malaysia!"

13:25 And then Daisy fucks up once again.
Ah, the music at the end of the episode has returned. Today is a good day.
Actually, according to my sources (ie the Super Mario Wiki), Thomas Spindler, Wario's voice actor in those games, said that Wario is saying "So ein mist" in Mario Party 1 and 2 which, according to my sources (Google Translate) is German for "Such a crap".
The literal translation doesn't _quite_ work here, though. ;) "Mist" is actually "dung", and the phrase is basically the German equivalent of "aww, dangit!"
On another note, German capitalizes nouns, so for those who want to look really super-informed, it's: "So ein Mist!" ^^
Mist.....German's so close to English, so I wonder how one goes from "Mist" to the various worlds for "Crap"?
kagemaru397 ...well, I did a bit of an etymological analysis for you, but a warning beforehand, we'll be having this discussion IN THE BATHROOM. ;)
When Germans say "Mist", they usually think of manure or fertilizer.
So yeah, they're, let's say, thematically related, but the word "Mist" doesn't actually have anything to do with the many synonyms for "crap". ;)
Hope that answers your question.

Because her competition isn't stiff.

Brary: I've got a better idea.

Wario never said it either, if you want to get down to it, though. Facts never have been able to get in the way of Emile making a lame joke, though.
Tricia McMillan True, but Emile at least knows that in overseas versions of MP1/2 that Wario's saying "So ein mist" (as he said on a trivia game show once, "[he] is the master of 'D'oh I missed.' Waluigi during the Super Shroom roll: "This isn't even my final form!"
10:10 It was at that moment that Tim realized he had messed up.
I don't know about you, but that was a shocking turn of events for Jon and Waluigi.
Also it's a close game with Tim and Jon too.
The Game is making Emile pay the cost of losing his innocence
What I would give for an April Fools video where Jon pretends to be Emile, Emile pretends to be Jon, and Tim is just desperately trying to pretend like everything is fine!!
I love the thumbnail for this episode Waluigi looks so powerful.
*Chugga rolls a one*
Chugga: "The game hates me!"
*Both Jon and Chugga sigh*
*Jon rolls a two*
Chugga: "I feel better."

Emile has terrible luck with Bullet Bills
I had my phone at full volume with ear buds in while watching the video and then proceed to get earraped by the board music at the end.
And thus, Waluigi was promoted to Thunder God.
This thought randomly came to me I imagined Emile and Jon swapping bodies Jon doing an impression of Emile and then laughing like spongebob
5:11 The first time I saw this, I thought he dropped the f-bomb.

god, just watching this just keeps reinforcing me in thinking this was the best Mario Party game (tho i only played this one and only alittle of 7)

Oh, there are definitely fanfics out there of you and Jon swapping bodies, but not in the way you were thinking.
A German man changed my life by saying three words.
