Another fun video! (I actually love the blindfold lol) And YES, I HAVE BEEN BAMBOOZLED, but the author shall remain nameless. Great job on the Book in a Bag!
Branden, if you love non-fiction my current read is baller: The Black Angels. It's about Black American nurses between the Great Depression and WWII caring for TB patients that white nurses refused to treat. The science, personal stories, and multi-layered portrayal of what it means to be dedicated to a medical oath in the face of racism is just top notch.
Blankety blank blank! You guys are so delightful - and Tayler, I have definitely added Wolf Hall series and Heresy to my tbr because of your passion for it. Can’t wait to see more of your videos!
Also if I don’t love a book, I just dnf or I read the last chapter to see how it wraps up and walk away. Too many books out there to continue a “bad book”. I agree- just go read something else!
I liked "The Wager" but did think it was a little slow in some parts, reading it to the end made it worthwhile. I found the ending so interesting! I want to read "Heresy" next; that series sounds amazing!
You two crack me up! Taylor, I love that you enjoyed the Veronica Speedwell books. I have read 3 so far and had a ball with all of them. I am loving this channel and book in a bag is one of my favorite "segments" you do!!
I want to read the Wager! I love those kinds of stories. That 1 star review was actually the first I've heard anything negative about it lol. Fun video, you guys always keep it fresh!📚✌️❣️
Thanks for not spoiling the Eloise Harper trilogy! I’ve just started the second one. The last thing on earth I need is a longer “to read” list, but you guys are just too much fun to watch! (Found you because I’m a knitter.) 😊
I laughed so much with this! Awesome idea for a video! I completely agree that you should stop reading if you aren't getting into the book. I DNF'ed a lot more books in the past year than ever, because I did not want to waste my time anymore. So much to read, so little time. And whenever I DNF something I go to Goodreads to check other 1-star reviews and 100% of time they said exactly what I had on my mind and why the book did not work for me.
So glad you’re enjoying these videos Millie! Thank you! And we totally agree. Too many great books out there to dilly dally with the not so good ones. ❤️
As always, so much fun with you two. The Catcher in the Rye is my least favorite book I have ever read. I remember reading it in my 20’s because whenever I would read or hear an interview with anyone they would always name that as their favorite book. So I figured, well it must be good! Let give it a try. It was not. It made me feel physically dirty. Just hated it. I regret reading it to this day. Long live Books in a Bag!
So glad you enjoyed this one Kimberly! And I think Branden and I are both in the same camp with Catcher in the Rye at this point: very…meh. 🫤 Like, ok. Whatever. It’s a Midcentury coming of age. Fine. It didn’t move mountains for either of us (despite Branden’s generous 5-star rating at the time 😅). As for feeling dirty, I actually completely know what you mean.
Clever idea. People shouldn't read books they think is a waste of time. I even give up on books that are basically good, but are too long and drag ... I confess I gave up on Pynchon's _Against the Day,_ (25% read) because it was 900 pages and, although it had some good parts, had way too many parts that dragged. Now I don't feel so bad about it. _O Fortuna!_ a famous musical piece by Carl Orff. Listen to it if you haven't heard it.
I think this is totally sensible. Our time is precious and if you're not enjoying the read for ANY reason, or if it's just sort of ho hum, best to find something else. 😊
P.S., here's an artist pro tip on removing labels: Use a heat gun or a hair dryer on hot, while moving it back and forth over the label, and the glue will warm up to allow you to remove the labels off the books.
I finished a book I hated once because I had been waiting so long to read it and kept hoping things might turn around. I was really bummed when they didn't. So I have learned this nugget of wisdom the hard way 😉
Ah yeah, I think that’s how many of us come to the realization that it isn’t worth the disappointment. There’s always that one book that you hold out hope for until the very end. No shame there, that’s for sure. ❤️
Another fun game 👍🏻 Bizarre review of Wolf Den series. Can you ever tell a story about Pompeii and not include a natural disaster? It’s not a plot device, it’s history 🤦🏼♀️
Can you remind me of the titles and author of a two book fantasy series that you loved Taylor? I can't remember, didn't write it down, and I'd love to read it. Thank you!! ❤📚
@GoodBooksLately Thank you! My daughter talked me into reading A Court Of Thorns And Roses. She loves the series, I am more into classic literature, so it feels fluffy and contrived to me. Do you think this two book series would be better? I love talking books with my 28-year-old girl, but my brain needs more. 😄
I love Jurassic Park. Ive read it twice. But, i do 100% get where the reviewer was coming from. Hammond is dumb and he stresses me out to no end in the novel.
HA HA HA, that was fun but now I’m worried about my recommendations to you! Not really but isn’t it amazing how different we are in our likes and dislikes? Our moods, life experiences, and situations all come to play when we read. If you’re not enjoying it and it’s not a good fit for you then put the book down and move on.
Let's play Book inn a Bag: 1-Star Review Edition! ⭐ Enjoy guys!
You two are so much fun!!! Book in bag is great!😊
Yay! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Ok, I've binge watched all the episodes. So entertaining especially the Book in a Bag series, lol. I look forward to watching more.
Yay! Thank you! Glad you are enjoying them. ❤️❤️❤️
Y’all are a hoot in the best way possible! 😂 I’m loving the content and thanks so much. 💘📚
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoy our work! ❤️❤️❤️
Another fun video! (I actually love the blindfold lol) And YES, I HAVE BEEN BAMBOOZLED, but the author shall remain nameless. Great job on the Book in a Bag!
😂 Glad you liked the episode. I think we've all been bamboozled by a book at some point. 🤷🏻♂️
OMG, guys, you’re having so much fun! I love watching you!
We really are having a lot of fun and it’s even better that y’all are enjoying it. Thank you! ❤️❤️

Sounds great! Thanks for the recommendation. 😁❤️😁
I loved this - you guys are too much!!!😂. Best line - he needs a hug!!💕
Thank you Leslie! ❤️❤️❤️
Your shirt is on FIRE ..Brandon! 😂
😂 Thank you.
Blankety blank blank! You guys are so delightful - and Tayler, I have definitely added Wolf Hall series and Heresy to my tbr because of your passion for it. Can’t wait to see more of your videos!
Wolf Hall or Wolf's Den series? Both are good, but extremely different! One's 16th century England, one's 1st century Pompeii. 😉
@@julesingreen Whoops! Wolf's Den haha. Good call!
Yay! Thank you! We will have more videos coming. 👍❤️❤️
First, you two are my fave book reviewers by far! Next, the Schitt's Creek clip made me LOL 100%, thank you for that laugh.
Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Gotta love a little Schitt's Creek. 😁
Always a good day when you post. Outfits are always 5 stars and the videos fun.
That means so much Sandra. Thank you!
This was very fun and entertaining 😊
Yay! Glad you enjoyed it. ❤️❤️❤️
This was so fun to watch! 😂

Just enjoying these videos so much. Who doesn’t want need more fun talk about books?📚
So glad you’re enjoying Angie! Thank you for watching!
loved this!! great idea
Glad you liked it!! Thank you!👍👍❤️❤️
I really enjoyed The Wager as well. I have also read Lost City of Z & Killers of the Flower Moon. He’s an amazing investigative journalist.
Oh that's great to hear. I'm am going to be reading Killers of the Flower Moon soon. 😁😁😁
I am requesting another 1 star review with wine 😂😂
Now there is an idea. Might have to make that happen.
This is such a fun idea. Loved it ❤
Glad you liked it!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love you guys, I am reading Fourth Wing right now and loving it! Wish life would stop interrupting
Totally know the feeling. Just leave me alone with my book for like several hours. Is that too much to ask??? 😅❤️
Loved this version. Great job guys.
Thank you Krista!
Fun idea for a video! Love your creativity when it comes to video ideas.
Thank you Michelle!
Read Heresy so long ago. I remembered I liked it. I had to double-check my bookshelves, and I still had it.
That's awesome! ❤️❤️❤️
Almost finished Slewfoot and already recommended it to friends. Sooo good.
Great to hear! Tayler loved it so much.
5 Stars for this TH-cam. Love that you two have so much fun and include strangers. 🤣
Thank you SO much. This means a lot to both of us. ❤️
Totally entertaining video yet again 🎉🎉
Yay! So glad you enjoyed it Jonelle!
I loved this game, so enjoyable 😊.
So glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching. ❤️❤️
Lol you guys are awesome.
Yay!!! Good books lately!!!!
❤️❤️❤️
I liked "The Wager" but did think it was a little slow in some parts, reading it to the end made it worthwhile. I found the ending so interesting! I want to read "Heresy" next; that series sounds amazing!
The SJ Parris series is SOOO good! Definitely give it a try. 😊
You two crack me up! Taylor, I love that you enjoyed the Veronica Speedwell books. I have read 3 so far and had a ball with all of them. I am loving this channel and book in a bag is one of my favorite "segments" you do!!
Yay! Thank you! We love making these videos for you. And I’ve read the first Veronica Speedwell and loved it. Looking forward to the next. ❤️❤️❤️
This was super fun guys! 😂 You really make me smile with your videos every time 😊
So glad! Thank you so much. It is always a blast for us as well. 😁❤️😁
I want to read the Wager! I love those kinds of stories. That 1 star review was actually the first I've heard anything negative about it lol. Fun video, you guys always keep it fresh!📚✌️❣️
You should! It really is a fun read, or at least as fun as a story about a shipwreck can be. 😁😁😁
@GoodBooksLately yeah, I've wanted it since Anda Kent reviewed it a while back. It's one I keep forgetting about so I need to order it ASAP! 📚
Thanks for not spoiling the Eloise Harper trilogy! I’ve just started the second one. The last thing on earth I need is a longer “to read” list, but you guys are just too much fun to watch! (Found you because I’m a knitter.) 😊
You're so welcome! Glad you are enjoying it. ❤️❤️❤️
This was fun, "blankety, blank blank". I always enjoy reading one star reviews - they can be very entertaining.
Glad you enjoyed it! It's a fun challenge for us. ❤️😁❤️
I loved this episode so much! If you like fantasy have either of you read any of the Raymond Fiest, Magician books series?
Thank you. No, neither have read that series, but I will check it out. Thanks for the rec.
Loved this version of Book-in-a-bag! The lowest rating i ever gave was a 2 .... to your points, I will dnf before I give a 1-star review.
Exactly! Glad you like the game. 😁❤️❤️
The editing was so fun on this video 😂
Enjoyed this immensely. Fun and informative. Did Brandon give Catcher in the Rye 5 stars ? Of course he did he read the whole thing 😂😂
😂😂😂 Pretty much! So glad you liked the video. ❤️
Can I just hang out with you both? These videos make my day 😊
We love that Aimy! Thank you. ❤️❤️

So many are caretakers they relate to Phoebe

Bizarre review of Wolf Den series. Can you ever tell a story about Pompeii and not include a natural disaster? It’s not a plot device, it’s history 🤦🏼♀️
Omg right?! My thoughts EXACTLY. 🙌
I loved One Dark Window. I devoured it and Two Twisted Crowns in 5 days.
Yes! Same! So good!
Can you remind me of the titles and author of a two book fantasy series that you loved Taylor? I can't remember, didn't write it down, and I'd love to read it. Thank you!! ❤📚

I can get that Hammond was dumb, but Malcom was a good character for me.
@@GoodBooksLately agreed! I love Malcolm!!
I just picked up The Lost World at a thrift shop. May be continuing the story.
HA HA HA, that was fun but now I’m worried about my recommendations to you! Not really but isn’t it amazing how different we are in our likes and dislikes? Nah, I think you and I have similar tastes based on your recommendations Catherine. 😌
