Main road between Lebanon and Syria "cut off" after strike: Lebanese mayor

Images published by the Syrian Red Crescent on October 4 show its members helping Syrian and Lebanese refugees over a large crater left by an Israeli strike near the Masnaa border crossing, which Lebanon said cut off the main international road connecting Lebanon and Syria. Israel said the air raids were aimed at preventing the flow of weapons into Lebanon from neighbouring Syria and included targeting an alleged underground tunnel used to move arms across the border.
