- Palestinians were given just five minutes to evacuate the Fallujah school, where they had been displaced from their homes.
"We were contacted and told to evacuate the Fallujah school and you have five minutes to leave" says a woman carrying a backpack and her child as she flees a school in Jabalia, northern Gaza.
"People are very tense every time they hear new evacuation orders are issued," says the spokesperson for the International Committee of the Red Cross as civilians in Gaza continue to live in ramshackle shelters, struggle to find food and are gripped by uncertainty, even as the Israeli military has shifted its focus to its Lebanon offensive.

With all the intelligence Israel has and constantly monitoring Gaza(Gaza is known as the most surveillance place on earth)and the naval blockade and controlling what goes in and out of gaza. Odds are they were warned days or perhaps years before Oct 7th but chose to do nothing until it was too late. It would be impossible to catch Israel by surprise.
