Grandmaster mode is no joke. Missing a perfect parry or a dodge can cause your enemy to one or two shot you to death. Try fighting a Rancor, for sure you will lose majority of your hair and rage so hard.
The Rancor fight is what caused me to switch from GM to regular Master difficulty. I told myself, "self, you can play Grandmaster when you unlock NG+" and then I still died a few more times.
though you can cheese two rancor fights, the one in sodden grotto can be pulled to the ledge (through aggro not force pull), while the one in Phon' Qi caverns, you can choose to force push and pull some of the explosive plants towards it, the rancor fight that you can't cheese is the double rancor fight in a force tear in coruscant. on the other hand, the frogs are susceptible to blaster stance charge shots, just time it when they go red for unblockable attacks to disrupt their attack, moreso when they jump, giving you an opportune time to put some attacks in, then use the slow time special to connect some energizing flurry/s to recover blaster energy and never forget that you can also attack these large opponents in mid air, (the single saber stance having a mid air force attack via the air dash attack which would allow you to get a hit in and at least another saber attack, then air dash out if you have that ability unlocked).

You really need to spend some time exploring and getting more stims and health upgrades. By the time I fought Dagan the first time on GM, I already had 5 stims. This game really rewards exploration
I have 7 Stims rn and I've beat the game once and I'm doing all side stuff this time. Tbh tho coming from playing elden ring straight into survivor grandmaster wasn't all that bad tbh
I didn't go to high difficulty in this game, but what I learned was that some enemies really warranted a different stance. The single saber stance worked wonders against some enemies.
Beat the whole game on Grandmaster including double Ogobitches.... but there's a double Rancor fight on Corusant. I put the difficulty on Story Mode cuz when the game devs wanna be funny, i can joke back :)

You gotta fight the spawn of orgga or whatever it's called. The green frog from the first one? It's at the bandit camp and MAN that's how you test your sanity
One thing to note, Grand master doesnt just make enemies hit harder and have stupid health pools. It also makes Parrying Hella fuckin specific. Your parry window drops to damn near none existence. I firmly, believe the game is best experienced on Master or Knight.
Cal was sent on a mission to get the senators information by Saw Gerrera. After Cal leaves coruscant that story part doesnt really matter because they already did the mission.
It is basically a cross between Sekiro and Lara Croft with the parry based combat, platforming and puzzles but who cares it is fun and not all games have to be unique. You are far from the only one to struggle with Mogu. After I beat him I was so low on health I had to go back and rest and was ticked off to see him respawn, just figured it was a boss. I ran past him the 2nd time wasn't going through that again.

that Mogu was the hardest boss in the game for me as well once I saw the 2 Mogus in the bog, i just changed my difficulty one thing though is try incorporating more jumping, itll allow you to block the shockwave attacks at close range and changes the attack tempo i.e. Crossguard jump attack is by far the stance's fastest attack
As far as I'm concerned, what's important is to enjoy the game. There's no point in playing at the highest difficulty if you're not having fun doing it. The real question is what is it that you're looking for in the game? If it's first of all challenge, then sure, but if what you want more is to just enjoy the game without it being too easy either, then just choose a different difficulty! You need to be clear with yourself about your real priorities.
This. I've played Sekiro 15-20 times and played harder modded versions of it(and all the other souls games too) so I knew I wanted to play on GM because I enjoy mastering fights. That being said it's really not for everyone. I'm really not trying to be elitist, but if you're 90 mins into learning a boss and you're still playing reactively and raging, calling the boss's combos bullshit, then just cut your losses and play on a lower difficulty. The only reason I play on GM is that I gain more enjoyment from mastering and no-hitting a fight on my 20th attempt, than I do stumbling through a fight using all my heals and beating it on my 2nd try. It's not an ego thing, it's just a way of maximising enjoyment and satisfaction.
I had never played a souls type game and played Fallen Order on easy the first time through to get use to it and really enjoyed it. Ended up beating it on Knight, Master and eventually Grandmaster as I got better. Having fun is all that counts.
In his defense, he did say early in the video that his pride was keeping him from choosing a lower difficulty so.. at least he's honest about who he is. Meanwhile I had an amazing time on J. Knight difficulty.

Mogu was legit the most frustrating fight for me first time around. The worst is, you encounter later on, progressing towards the main story, it's not optional ... That was until I ran into main boss battle that made Mogu a little more lightweight (on Jedi Master difficulty) but Mogu/Skriton are easily worse than as someone said, half the bounty hunters and bosses
