Well, i don't think Owl would have turned into Shura, because he did want to rule Japan with Sekiro by his side. I think he quickly left, because he wanted to take the Mortal Blade from Genichiro so they don't have a chance at killing Sekiro.
he makes you do the dirty work because he can't beat isshin, even a sick version. he can, however, beat a heavily wounded and weakened genichiro. here's why I think owl is not that good at fighting. 1. He is one of the only bosses that you can hit without an opening. If you just randomly attack at certain periods, even if he's ready to parry, you'll land a hit, he's the only boss that doesn't 100% parry. 2. Otherwise he wouldn't ask sekiro for help. It is pretty heavily implied that he would have betrayed sekiro at some point, and that he was only using him as a tool. it would be better to let sekiro just do his job and leave ashina, and take the kingdom for himself. 3. He's a shinobi. He can't do head-on fights. Sekiro is sort of an exception in that way. At the start, when he's full shinobi, he loses to genichiro. He has to learn to get better to win.
@@fyrewolf7805it is implied that Sekiro was also extremely rusty at the start of the game as he was fumbling for his sword before facing Genichiro, likely not having fought or trained for 3 years after the events of the Hirate Estate
@@AlexT7916 yes, that's true. but owl wasnt in a well for three years, he was scheming. after all, he faked his death, backstabbed sekiro, and went on his merry way
I never thought of the story between Owl and Sekiro that way. That is so beautifully tragic. Amazing video. My favorite one so far. As far as what's next, I would prefer Demon's Souls instead of Lies Of P
I’d like to see Lies Of P and Lords Of The Fallen (2023) rankings. Quick list of what I think are the weakest to strongest in Lords Of The Fallen lorewise. 13:Congregator Of Flesh 12:Spurned Progeny 11:Sundered Monarch 10:The Hollow Crow 9:Pieta 8:Latimer, The Hushed Saint 7:Tancred and Reinhold 6:Elianne the Starved 5:The Lightreaper 4:The Unbroken Promise 3:Harkyn, The Iron Wayfarer 2:Judge Cleric 1:Adyr
Another banger, congrats! Definitely go for Demon Souls first. That way, you will finish all souls titles before the whole Elden Ring experience (main game + DLC). After that, and in the wait for SOTE, you can go for Lies of P, Cuphead, Hollow Knight... The possibilities are almost endless.
@@mtstomack7053that’s beside the point that this person is making and that point is to familiarize yourself with the souls game and those games won’t help at all
@@loiceklund6624 no. There are only so many good souls-likes that match the requirements here. Bestiary should go for quality games like the above mentioned hollow knight rather than something like Wo Long. The games have to contain both variants of the eerie-mysterious, rich atmosphere and the according lore grandeur though. This is why hollow knight would be a perfect fit (part two coming out soon??), while the above mentioned cuphead would be a disaster because of its comedic ridiculousness and lore irrelevance (its basically a cartoon, everyone can do anything) which doesnt fit at all with bestiarys style and quality standard in my opinion. Maybe he will even branch to something like the Witcher. Baldurs Gate 3 would be cool too, though the cinematic presentation could be hard. Not quite the same vibe and atmosphere as the Fromsoft series with this games, but the lore is incredible, maybe too much though (Books etc). The hidden lore is another factor which plays into the atmosphere, but very few games have that. Again, hollow knight would be a perfect fit :D
You already know why i'm here.... right when im about to eat too....now we wait for Elden Ring and Dear god Demon souls too. Honestly if Demon souls came next that would be amazing.
this ranking was really great and well written but im not sure i agree with the placement of the last 3 or even old isshin under genichiro/owl. personally id rank them isshin ss divine dragon inner owl because while the divine dragon's influence may be the strongest and its amount of overall power might be higher, in a 1 on 1 fight i think isshin would be able to win against the divine dragon as sekiro has without much trouble. isshin ss has the power of both tomoe's lightning AND the black mortal blade both of which we used in our fight against the divine dragon. as well as isshin having the power of the rejuvenating waters or some level of immortality given from genichiro or the black blade considering we had to kill him with the mortal blade. I do agree inner owl is insanely powerful and the fight against him in our mind is the fight against who he is to sekiro, and while that is definitely very intense, nothing suggest it is sekiro's hardest fight. isshin is simply THAT GUY, the very strongest swordsman the world has ever seen, powerful enough to retake ashina himself, armed with a mortal blade, immortality, and the full mastery of the lightning of tomoe, once his equal, blended into the perfect ashina style. isshin ss, and inner isshin, represent the absolute pinnacle of all power possible summoned as a last ditch effort to win at all costs. also he appears at the very end of the true gauntlet of strength i think that says something more than owl.
I missed the part where you said you only included the memory and gauntlet bosses so i grew more and more astonished thinking why you would rank the fire bull so high😂
I really enjoy these videos and there are a few things that I think could make them even better: I feel like sometimes there is a lot of redundancy for entries which is understandable as its probably pretty hard to pad out some of the information, but it can get pretty irritating if the redundant info is also relevant for another entry, causing it to be repeated 4 times or even more across the video. Another pedantic note: dialectic describes the process of pitting thesis and antithesis against each other, it can't be true or false. Hope this is only taken as constructive feedback, I really love your vids.
Once ur done with bosses, maybe you can do npcs? I'd love a ranking discussing the strength of siegward or yuria for example, based on their accomplishments.
Not every warrior in this is a shinobi…A “shinobi” is more or less a ninja/spy, i think the descriptive word you were looking for with most of the NPC’s was “bushi” or samurai, bushi is a japanese word meaning warrior, but not all bushi were samurai, at least not yet, like in Gyobu’s situation for example, seeing that he was a good “bushi”, Isshin then made him Samurai… besides calling everyone a shinobi, great video lol
To be a fan of Sekiro and call everyone a Shinobi is annoying. Bushi depends on the period, the lore says that Gyobu was Isshin's retainer, nothing was said about a Bushi though.
Ok so I'm at sword Saint isshin but hearing him being named as a shinobi makes me cringe cause he's a samurai not a shinobi but loving the video either way
Just imagine they make Sekiro 2 and the choice you made in Sekiro goes directly into Sekiro 2, so that if you have done the Shura ending last you could fight in Sekiro 2 with both Mortal Blades dual wielding them. Would be sick tbh
It's pretty much all but confirmed that Owl snuck up on Genichiro. Not only did he only have one deathblow counter, meaning that Owl could just use one deathblow and insta -win, but someone actually pitted the two against each other and Genichiro came out on top.
What makes this game so easy to scale is the fighting style is so close to canon and theres no real power jumps besides getting mortal blades and you can even make characters fight eachother and they work the same as wolf
Great videos, even if I don't agree with every placement (the ape so low, inner father above isshin), it is well-thought and very entertaining to watch. As for suggestions: maybe now its the time for Nioh 1 and 2?
Now all you have to do is rank the Elden ring DLC bosses by lore, then combine all these vids into one vid so we can see who is the strongest FromSoftware character by lore. (My money’s on The Moon Presence)
@ahmadadnan4773leaning away from Gael, not 100% on Elden Beast lore, but from what I know, Moon Presence can exist on multiple planes so even if it gets killed physically, it can survive on another plane and has proven it can influence others to act on its will such as Gerhman and the PC AND only being with the same level of insight can even stand against it. Gael’s strong asf, but with his hollowing I don’t think he has the insight needed to stand against the Moon Presence. In a one on one fight, I reckon the Moon Presence would just dominate Gael’s mind without much issue, hollows aren’t exactly mentally with it. Physical power is one thing that Gael excels at, but Moon Presence has a whole other magnitude of it. The Elden Beast seems a great deal more powerful, but it’s also an extension of the Greater Will, not on par with the Greater Will itself. I think the Elden Beast is powerful asf, but I don’t think it can even crack the Great Ones of Bloodborne. Honestly, I reckon the Moon Presence would just ask the Elden Beast to put its daddy on the phone 😂
@ahmadadnan4773 exactly my point, one of the reasons the Great Ones all ranked so high was because even if their physical bodies were destroyed, they’d still exist in any number of other planes of existence. How can a character be more powerful than one if they can’t even kill it? Even if a Great One fails to kill Gael, they could easily seduce another mortal, like the chosen undead, bearer of the curse, ashen one, paleblood hunter or the tarnished. Also, you can only stand up to the Moon Presence after ascending to a level on par with it by consuming three third umbilical chords. If you don’t, you don’t even get a chance to fight. Side note, Kos actually washed up already dead due to a miscarriage, fishermen just worshipped her corpse until Master Willem was like “Oooooooooooh fresh god corpse” 😂
@ahmadadnan4773 that’s the thing tho, I don’t think Gael COULD stand up to the Moon Presence’s powers. Gael was STRONG as hell and I think he’s definitely capable of cutting the Moon Presence into calamari, but the Palemoon Hunter could have killed Ebrites, Orphan of Kos, Mergot’s Wet Nurse, Amygdala, every Great One in the game, but if they haven’t chowed down on enough umbilical chords when they wanted a snack, they couldn’t even lift a finger against the MP. All things considered, the PC in bloodborne is still relatively sane. Gael? After hundreds, possibly thousands of years of constant searching, killing and blood drinking, he’s far from sane. Just the type of people Great Ones can play with easily. Gael could probably annihilate MP in a straight fight. But I don’t think he could even raise his sword against MP, he’d just end up being a pawn.
I love these videos, I'd love to see a demon souls ranking, and remnant from the ashes, and remnant 2, if you haven't played those yet, I highly recommend them, they are both fantastic, really does souls with guns really well, and still manages to keep it's own identity, also I think it would be best to do elden ring after the DLC comes out

What if Owl gets you to handle some of the dirty work because he wants to avoid becoming Shura?
@@AlexT7916 yes, that's true. but owl wasnt in a well for three years, he was scheming. after all, he faked his death, backstabbed sekiro, and went on his merry way
The way he let himself get killed by wolf, shura was definitely not something owl was aware of
Are you going to consider branching out into other games for this series after you get through the FromSoft games? I really hope so!
Now we wait for the Elden Ring DLC
And I’ll keep waiting for Sekiro DLC…
@@zonk834 Its been five years. I dont believe it is coming.
@@TocattaTotentanzMacabrewell it did get boss rush free DLC 3 years after release
@@AlexT7916 That was one time. I've lost all hope.
@@TocattaTotentanzMacabre one is still more than zero
Stop trying to complicate it, I vote the dude wielding a sword, a 30 foot long spear, and a Glock simultaneously
I never thought of the story between Owl and Sekiro that way. That is so beautifully tragic. Amazing video. My favorite one so far.
As far as what's next, I would prefer Demon's Souls instead of Lies Of P
Gosh man. Keep it up please. I love long form content I can vibe with and your research speaks for itself.
This is just youtube masterclass. Another certified banger!
I’d like to see Lies Of P and Lords Of The Fallen (2023) rankings.
Quick list of what I think are the weakest to strongest in Lords Of The Fallen lorewise.
13:Congregator Of Flesh
12:Spurned Progeny
11:Sundered Monarch
10:The Hollow Crow
9:Pieta
8:Latimer, The Hushed Saint
7:Tancred and Reinhold
6:Elianne the Starved
5:The Lightreaper
4:The Unbroken Promise
3:Harkyn, The Iron Wayfarer
2:Judge Cleric
1:Adyr
I've been waiting for the video on this game :D
Another banger, congrats!
Definitely go for Demon Souls first. That way, you will finish all souls titles before the whole Elden Ring experience (main game + DLC).
After that, and in the wait for SOTE, you can go for Lies of P, Cuphead, Hollow Knight... The possibilities are almost endless.
Cup head and hollow knight aren’t souls likes pal
@@loiceklund6624 that doesn’t necessarily matter, still great games with amazing boss line ups that would be cool in this format
Love the amount of lore you give in these videos.🤘
One of fromsofts best games. So many good memories playing this one again and again!
I want a sequel so stuff like Shura can be explored more
I love these kinds of videos. Thank you so much!
Hell yeah! More strongest ranked on lore content!!! Absolutely love this series
Love your videos man they genuinely make my day better
You already know why i'm here.... right when im about to eat too....now we wait for Elden Ring and Dear god Demon souls too. Honestly if Demon souls came next that would be amazing.
No reason to do an elden ring one before the DLC
Yeah he should do demon souls next, especially because he said he will do the Elden Ring video after the dlc drops
I enjoy all of your lore Videos, thank you. Must be a lot of work to find all this Informations
Took me 2 weeks, from the moment I downloaded the game until the platinum. But, well, few of these info I really didn't know
Absolutely love this shit. I get as excited when I see these video notifications as I do when VaatiVidya drops
The moonlight butterfly ost during the lady butterfly segment was peak editing !
Finally! It's been a long time coming.
this ranking was really great and well written but im not sure i agree with the placement of the last 3 or even old isshin under genichiro/owl.
personally id rank them
isshin ss
divine dragon
inner owl
because while the divine dragon's influence may be the strongest and its amount of overall power might be higher, in a 1 on 1 fight i think isshin would be able to win against the divine dragon as sekiro has without much trouble. isshin ss has the power of both tomoe's lightning AND the black mortal blade both of which we used in our fight against the divine dragon. as well as isshin having the power of the rejuvenating waters or some level of immortality given from genichiro or the black blade considering we had to kill him with the mortal blade.
Isshin does NOT have the power of Tomoe.
And only the Red Mortal Blade can be used to finish the dragon. The black one is unable to hurt the dragon.
Thought I'd listen along whilst i got some work done, but it's too interesting, i shall return later to finnish watching ❤
Another masterpiece. And now that you're Elden Ring video is posted, I can finally watch that too.
Hey this great stuff, I look forward to seeing more, and I hope you find success on TH-cam!
Great series and video!!! Expecting one for "shadow of the erdtree"!!!😊😊😊😊
I wish there was a dlc for this game man, fighting tomoe or kingfisher would’ve been epic
I missed the part where you said you only included the memory and gauntlet bosses so i grew more and more astonished thinking why you would rank the fire bull so high😂
Only after Demon of Hatred did i catch on why i dont see ashina spears or lone shadows
This guy: “Gyobou a simple warrior, with strength > True corrupted monk, merited to the legendary okami clan”.
Me: 🤔?
Thanks for all the time you put into these videos I enjoyed all 4 I've qatched
Isshin does not have the art of lightning, he catches the flashes out of the air
Great video, as always!
Amazing content, so underrated, keep up the amazing work
Once ur done with bosses, maybe you can do npcs? I'd love a ranking discussing the strength of siegward or yuria for example, based on their accomplishments.
Well you got your wish granted. Lucky you
Not every warrior in this is a shinobi…A “shinobi” is more or less a ninja/spy, i think the descriptive word you were looking for with most of the NPC’s was “bushi” or samurai, bushi is a japanese word meaning warrior, but not all bushi were samurai, at least not yet, like in Gyobu’s situation for example, seeing that he was a good “bushi”, Isshin then made him Samurai… besides calling everyone a shinobi, great video lol
To be a fan of Sekiro and call everyone a Shinobi is annoying. Bushi depends on the period, the lore says that Gyobu was Isshin's retainer, nothing was said about a Bushi though.
That sekiro would've gotten a dlc, we could've met so many characters that we only hear stories about, and could've saved elden ring from Malenia
armored warior is the true one
love the video, sekiro has always been my favorite fromsoft game
honestly im gona try to binge through all of these as they are interesting
Elden ring video gonna take like a year to make lol
Love these videos! Keep it up!
I forgot the Divine Dragon existed so I thought number one was going to be the Armored Warrior lol
ROBEEEEERT
someone please teach this guy how to mikiri counter and jump counter sweep attacks, i am going to go insane watching this
Ok so I'm at sword Saint isshin but hearing him being named as a shinobi makes me cringe cause he's a samurai not a shinobi but loving the video either way
glad to see this one made, was worried it might not be because its a bit of a black sheep
Another great video!
Just imagine they make Sekiro 2 and the choice you made in Sekiro goes directly into Sekiro 2, so that if you have done the Shura ending last you could fight in Sekiro 2 with both Mortal Blades dual wielding them. Would be sick tbh
i know emma was trained by isshin but there's no way that she should rank above the ape
I don't know if I've ever clicked so fast
Forging Material conditions, dialectics, I like your analysis
It's pretty much all but confirmed that Owl snuck up on Genichiro. Not only did he only have one deathblow counter, meaning that Owl could just use one deathblow and insta -win, but someone actually pitted the two against each other and Genichiro came out on top.
Did bro fr use the deathblow counters as a fucking lore explanation 💀
Just found ur channel its so cool, i love this type of videos
im waiting for the 8 hour elden ring ranking bosses by lore video 😂
What makes this game so easy to scale is the fighting style is so close to canon and theres no real power jumps besides getting mortal blades and you can even make characters fight eachother and they work the same as wolf
Hell yeah, I would love a Lies of P video
Great videos, even if I don't agree with every placement (the ape so low, inner father above isshin), it is well-thought and very entertaining to watch. As for suggestions: maybe now its the time for Nioh 1 and 2?
I think kingfisher scales above the guardian ape strength wise, the apes immortality was what killed an unprepared kingfisher. 7:19
Now all you have to do is rank the Elden ring DLC bosses by lore, then combine all these vids into one vid so we can see who is the strongest FromSoftware character by lore. (My money’s on The Moon Presence)
The high will
@ahmadadnan4773leaning away from Gael, not 100% on Elden Beast lore, but from what I know, Moon Presence can exist on multiple planes so even if it gets killed physically, it can survive on another plane and has proven it can influence others to act on its will such as Gerhman and the PC AND only being with the same level of insight can even stand against it.
I love these videos, I'd love to see a demon souls ranking, and remnant from the ashes, and remnant 2, if you haven't played those yet, I highly recommend them, they are both fantastic, really does souls with guns really well, and still manages to keep it's own identity, also I think it would be best to do elden ring after the DLC comes out
Would love a Lies of P video
Only one problem with this list and it’s that inner owl is higher than inner ishin
New video, algorithm good.
You know what's funny? Dying in the last Genichiro bossfight and SS Isshin shouldn't grant you a ressurection, neither returning to a checkpoint because they're both wielding one of the only 2 things in the world that can kill Sekiro other than themselves and the infested beings in the game
"Sekiro:old shinobi",that can be a name 4 a game based on the past of ashina, when owl and butterfly was young, same as isshin and tomoe
The GOAT is back! Thank you so much @TheBestiary
I will never forgive fromsoft for not giving us a tomoe dlc
Why are you calling Isshin a shinobi? He is clearly a samurai.
Made me want to finally play through Sekiro...
Please release one on Elden Ring. If theres too many bosses just do the remembrance ones
All 120+ bosses in Elden ring already almost finished being edited, keep your eyes on the channel 😊
i wonder if you can do this with games that arent from soft related like hollow knight also love your videos their so interesting :3
This was incredible
You don’t get Kingfisher’s ring from the guardian ape though… you get it from an encounter in the same room AFTER the guardian ape and wife
Bro do one with all the souls borne bosses! These vids are fire 🔥
I would like to see a lore accurate description of Wolf
For the algorithm - keep being awesome
Great ranking! But Isshin, Genichiro and Gyoubu are not shinobi but samurai and a retainer.
Thanks for the video good luck with the channel
Finally the best fromsoft game!
