You don’t have to pull the grenades you can just push them and they will go towards the enemy that you’re facing.
But when you pull a grenade you can redirect it to any enemy, not just flick it back to the original sender :)

Grand Master difficulty really requires you to utilize all of your abilities and try different strategies for different confrontations, on top of perfect parry timing and a little luck when it comes to massive groups. I think Master difficulty is perfect, but I play on Knight for most of the running around just because some of the groups and attacks are a little annoying. When I'm chopping down every bush on Koboh to extract seeds for my rooftop garden, I don't want to deal with the mobs being annoying. lol
The difficulty in this game comes from the horrendous dodge
@@la7127 I don’t see how the dodge is horrendous, the core of the game is parrying and breaking block. It’s not a souls game where you dodge continuously to gain i-frame.

@@1.-ulysses334 because on most regular and mini boss enemies you can just bypass their block meter by doging and either flanking (and strike) or attacking right after the perfect dodge

The timing on the parrying and dodging get particularly annoying at Master and Grand Master. Can only wish you more patience, dying after every corner.
9:10 you make a compelling point about the difficulty in this mode compared to the souls games. This by the way is why Fromsoft doesn’t do difficulty settings. Because “hard mode” in most games really just removes any balancing meant to help you face a challenge while also giving you the time and tools to learn the fight, and just turns it into a masochistic nightmare where everything and everyone destroys you in one hit and every death is unavoidable without foresight.
Yeah the game is not hard but simply unfair at certain points

Why did you play it if you hate it?
@@captainbumout because I'm a sucker for a challenge. I just felt like the engine, at least at launch on PC, couldn't handle the input timing needed for the difficulty. I was warping around boss arenas midway through animations and had parry windows after animations already showed a hit.
I loved the game, story in the star wars universe, I just felt the difficulty ruined it a bit for me.

And I agree with what you said Cal looks well trained in that blaster stance a lot of the saber moves remind me of Form II Makashi that Count Dooku used. I honestly wished it was a curved hilt stnace rather than blaster cause that would’ve been absolutely dope fighting like Count Dooku.

Id recommend the duel blade stance more! Its great for groups and makes returning blaster fire 100x easier.
For my playthrough i did the dual welding and duel blade most of the time.
Those are all I used with double sided being my primary and dual wield as a secondary
When in dual stance, blocking stops your attack, so you can use that to quickly cancel the attack and dodge. It takes a few tries, but after sometime it becomes really easy.
Damn, wish I knew that lmao. Tap X twice and Cal is going for nine hits.

Played fallen order on grand master and it worked me... Jedi survivor took me until this mission to fully get muscle memory back. This difficulty is unforgiving but when you use everything you have and make it out without using a stim makes you feel like a Jedi

Watching this was a huge stress-relieve for me after playing on this difficulty in the lucrehole section. Got me almost to the point of loosing my sanity.
the 5 Ds of dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge. also applies to star wars apparently.
NG+ gives you so much breathing room for grandmaster. Played through knight my first play through, and GM for NG+.

People find the blaster stance’s form cool because it is the same form used by Count Dooku. Elegance.
Do X, Y, X, Y. It fills the time in between attacks with blaster bolts so you do more damage, also helps break their block meter quicker
I’m just happy that I’m not the only one that was just completely destroyed by the mogu everytime
I had to go down to jedi master difficulty after first landing on Jedha, grandmaster is just too insane.
Grandmaster is for NG+
@@MrSpannners yeah on NJ+ it’s manageable with a ton of hp, force and stims but fresh playthrough GM shits on you hard lol.
You've strayed from the path. GM wasn't too bad once I took a moment on koboh to fight wandering enemies. Let me have the patience for it.

I just finished the game on my first playthrough on grandmaster. It was alright, the most annyoing thing was The last Boss , took me actually almost 2 hours to beat with crossguard

Damage and parry timings are the biggest changes with difficulty, so that’s why things are one shoting you and you miss so many parries

@@jakeallison6659 Just clarifying to them that the stuff they are complaining about is the very crux of the video (as in, playing on the hardest difficulty). A hard playthrough is Jedi Master, Jedi Grandmaster is made to be a rage game. Which is why this video is so entertaining, lol.
18:30- I actually have a theory on the difficulty settings!?! So I think that the game designers planned on and intended for people to play on the middle difficulty. And that’s why it’s so perfect! It’s not to hard to the point where you are wondering how anyone ever beat them in the lore! And it’s not too easy to the point where the Clone Wars should have been done after a week and everything and everyone else is so weak that they should have died off already just from stupidity! And everything else in the game is perfectly balanced. But since it gives you the option of what difficulty you want the whole gameplay mechanics changes depending on what direction you choose to go!!! And it kinda makes sense because that would take forever for a game designer to make everything work perfectly on each difficulty! And that’s why a lot of games that kinda have the same mechanics of this one don’t really give you the option of a difficulty level!!! Just a theory though

I played on grand master until about half way through the game then switch to jedi master which is just the next difficulty down but feels so much better.
I always say this, Jedi Master is the best difficulty. Makes the game hard without making it actual bs.

I remember when i started this game on grandmaster right away and i said the exact same thing: I don’t think they play tested it on grandmaster at all.
It's rly not bad, only issues I had was w the second Rayvis phase, imperial base where they send like 5 waves of enemies, and one of the final missions where they send like 10 dx drroids at u
