    Hi, quick question regarding saved setups. If you save a setup for one song with all the required processing and patching then save another setup with different parameters and patching, can these setups be called up via an external midi program change or can they be attached to songs in the playback list?
    It would be great if Midi Program Change / Bank ID's could be Assigned to Individual Saved Setups and Playback Audio Files, in this way a Midi Device e.g. Keyboard Synth or DAW could remotely select the desired setup environment or selection of a Playback Track could select an associated Setup Environment. A config file could easily be stored on any inserted playback USB stick and re-read to facilitate the correct ID to file associations.

      At the moment only on the screen (any screen, HDMI, LAN, WIFI) or if you want to program using 3rd party controllers (like AMX ). It is within the scope of the hardware to accept these messages so in the near future other ways (such as you mentioned) may become generally available.

    Hi, thanks for the video, I see bass heads in my UI24r but no bass cabs, is that correct ?

    Another doubt is if you used all these settings with reaper plugins or all these sounds were obtained with the Ui24. Thanks a lot!

    Any known difference between the guitar processing on the ui24, 16, or 12? I'm for sure in the market for a 24, but I'd also be interested in using a 12 as a table top A/D - D/A interface for smaller projects, particularly for guitar tracks. The Digitech with DBX & Lexi effects sounds great, would be ideal for getting DI feeds for reamping and track doubling. Cheers!

      The processing is the same although the AD and DA are better on the Ui24R. (and you can obviously record directly to your DAW as well (even post processing by assigning to outputs 1-10)

      UI24 is far more powerful and capable, its a significant upgrade IMO, we went from the UI16 to the UI24 and wow.... night and day.

    Great video, thanks a lot. I still don't know how to record my Digitech processed sound to my daw in reaper. I can listen to it but when I play, it only records my clean guitar.

      you can assign the channel to an AUX OUT on it;s own and record that output, then it will be POST processing.

    I use a Mesa Boogie mini Rectifier with a 2x12 V30 guitar cabinet. If I want to do a smaller gig without the cabinet, is there a way I can plug my Mesa head straight to Ui24 using only cabinet simulation?

    Hi, thank you for this video. Should electric guitars always be routed to the first two channels, if going direct into the mixer, given that only those two channels are for Hi-Z/instruments? I think that a bass guitar would also need to use a Hi-Z channel, if going direct into the mixer, correct? Does it mean that only a maximum of two electric guitars (or one guitar and one bass) can be safely connected direct to the mixer at any one time? Of course, one can place a mic in front of a guitar amp, and that mic can go into any channel. But for guitars (or bass and guitar) connected directly to the mixer (without amp) is there such limitation to two instruments only?

    • @mix-record-connect9938
      @mix-record-connect9938  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not specifically, often many have an active circuit or if you are using a DI it does not make much difference. Older pickups with only HI Z output would be a good idea to use via these inputs.

    hi. according to the manual of the ui series. is it true that you can connect directly the electric guitars on the mixer itself without the use of D.i box?

    • @chicky5540
      @chicky5540 ปีที่แล้ว

      1st row of channels are XLR and 1/4in combo channels. So yes you can directly plug in instrument cables without the use of a DI box and converting it to XLR.
      Main use of the DI box is to convert line level to mic level input so the signals won't drop over long cable runs.

    Would you recommend running your vocals with a stereo setup? How would you configure that setup inside this mixer only using 1 mic input?

    • @mix-record-connect9938
      @mix-record-connect9938  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can patch a single input into 2 channels. You would pan one to the left, and the other with a slight delay (say 10-15ms) to the right. This will open up a wide stereo vocal channel. Another way to enhance vocals would be to EQ them differently.

      You can just patch 1 input to 2 channels internally via the Patch Matrix. Delay one channel by 5-6 ms and pan to LEFT and other as is Pan to right. That will give you a nice spread to any mono instrument. EQ will obviously depends on the voice.

    Hello, does anyone know how I have to connect my e drums roland TD-11 KV to the soundcraft mixer ui 24r that I can configure all toms and cymbals individually as an input signal?

    • @mix-record-connect9938
      @mix-record-connect9938  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Same way you would connect it to any other mixer but TD11 I don't think has individual outputs!! TD30 does. Maybe via USB to a PC then back into Ui24R via USB as well . Does TD11 allow for individual outputs?

      It has nothing to do with Ui24R, all depends on your TD11, if you use DAW can you record individual channels from TD11 via USB ? first check this.
