💯You are doing such a kind act of help to us newbies on figuring out how to manage our hot tubs so we do not have to rely on service people. East Canada here🇨🇦 and a female working on a leak 💪of a roto molded 2 person hot tub. I certainly channelled you a lot as I patiently worked a bit every day on the process. Jacking it up 24 inches, pulling out all the spray foam for 4-5 hours total, bagged it up, and started cleaning up the mess so to have a clear area to get underneath so I can see a lot of the plumbing. I even found a defect in how a hose was pinched under the basin where feet generally rest. I used a wedge to get some distance between the underside of the foot bed and the upper side of the bottom of the hot tub. This was enough for me to pull it out. It was pinched in two area's. I wonder if I will make a difference when I get this fixed. Anyway, I keep your mantra over and over in my head as I picked away at the task. "Remember it's just a hot tub in the back yard. It heats up and blows bubbles. That is all there is to it. Don't go crazy!." Then I would tell myself, Meg, You Got This! So I found it was the light seal area that was leaking. Once I fix that I will continue the process of putting more water in to the next jet level and pause and check the plumbing. It is jacked up so what I plan to do is leave it jacked up and for a bit I will use it and still be able to check underneath while the hoses are hot. I want to see if the two pinched areas on the hose opened up a bit due to the heat. If not then I want to take the pinch out with some plumbing tools. Cheers, the task continues, from East Canada. 🍁👍🇨🇦
would a 6 inch flex hose be long enough to heat up get a coupler in between?? I currently have a rubber boot with clamps in between two hard pipes. Not sure if it will hold
Great videos and the information has been really helpful. I have a 5 year old D1 Diplomat Spa, that leaked inside long enough that the wooden crossmember is rotted to the point of just pushing a screwdriver in it like butter. Anyway, i removed the foam to find the lead at the diverter valve for Pump 1. The original lines are just pulled out, as they were not glued in well, so small leak for years, then it got much worse. I will likely take out more foam to get to the bottom board to replace it. Also to let it dry some. Can you tell me about the replacement foam insulation. Is that something I just buy at a spa supply house? Hoping that not horribly expensive.
Thank you spa dad! You showed me the steps very well! I am wondering what type of wrench you use to remove the big nut on the old diverter valve? I only have channel locks and looks like I need one twice the size. Its also in a tight spot so wondering if there are any angled wrenches for this step? Is it called a collar wrench or something else? Thanks!
Yes there is a way to do that but when you do it brings in to play a whole bunch of other problems with the hot tub so it is highly not recommended to do...
Enjoy all your informative videos. I have been bringing back to life a 2005 Dynasty Neptune Oceana. It's been sitting under shelter for about 10 years. It's working great with the exception of some jets that I've been working on and replacing. My question to you is the two large diverter valves turn freely when the pumps are off. They are difficult to turn when the pumps are on. I haven't taken them apart yet. Any advice?
As long as they do not leak.. it should be a little tough to move them with the jets in full power and I do not recommend changing the valve from one position to another with the jets on full power because it can and will damage the valve on the inside..Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
Hey, B 570 - Pump 2 starts - the diverter valve fly away water pump up crazily. I would I like to know how to fix the loose threat diverter valve in Dynasty Spa B 570 model. Please help
Replace it with a new valve...once the thread are not holding the only fix is to replace the whole assembly with a new one. Ive done several video on how to do this.. Its really not hard it just takes several hours to do. Hope this Helped Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
Thank you SPA MAN for showing in a very illustrative way the replacement of the diverter valve. I have exactly the same problem with a Hydropool SPA and this video is very useful for me. Is it possible to replace the Hydropool valve with another brand? Do you sell parts at the Arizona Hot Tub Factory? Thanks a lot. Abraham.
I do not sell parts but you can use just about any valve the will fit in the spot it need to be in with the proper size openings. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
I have a brand new sunbelt hot tub with foot dome, only has 30 jets, plus the foot dome that has one large center nozzle and 4 small jets. total of 35 jets.Only one 220 pump. There is a diverter valve that manufacturer says is supposed to completely shut off the foot dome . I have turned the valve every which way and it will only lower the water put out by the big jet, I turn it the opposite way it it turns into a volcano jet.Problem is with the volcano turned down all the way, only one seat of jets work and 4 other jets, all the rest hardly put out any water. With the foot dome all the way open, hardly any of the jets put out water. The local spa store we bought tub from sent their tech and he took out diverter, said it was put in correct and that the foot dome will never be turned completely off. So, now I have expensive foot massager. Is diverter valve meant to shut off water from one set of jets and divert to other jets? Im thinking the manufacturer made a mistake with the plumbing.Or somethings wrong with diverter.
It all gets down to how it was set up at the factory. a spa can be set up so when you turn the diverter valve one way or the other way it will shut off the entire jet on that system..But it still gets down to how it was set up at the factory..If you still need some help you can call the shop and talk to Scott and maybe he can help you father ..Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

Is there a way to override the 104° limit on a Viking spa with a balboa vs502 controller?
Yes there is a way to do that but when you do it brings in to play a whole bunch of other problems with the hot tub so it is highly not recommended to do...

What if I have a 1" diverter and that is no longer available and I need to use a 2", will that require cutting the shell?
