Hey Spa Man, I have an older Coleman 107 spa with a leaky air control valve. Could you do a video addressing air control valves and how to fix them. Thanks!
I have a coast spa, and the diverter valve keeps shooting off when I turn on the #2 jets. The “cap” seems like it’s too big for the valve body. Is this a common issue?
Yes and depending on the age it does happen a lot ..when this starts happening most home owners spend time and money on part only to find out that the entire valve needs to be replaced. when they find out what is needed to fix the problem most bail on the cost of the job and pay / give the spa away.. Its really not that hard of a job parts are not that bad Ive done I think 4 different videos on several problems a job like this can run into.. I can do most in under 4 hours while filming if I'm in the shop alone I can do one in about 2 hours ..I will never do one in a homeowners yard while they watch !!! they ask to many questions and it takes way over 4 hours then...let the glue set up over night and fill with water the next day (Big pro tip let glue set up over night)Hope this Helps Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
Great videos and the information has been really helpful. I have a 5 year old D1 Diplomat Spa, that leaked inside long enough that the wooden crossmember is rotted to the point of just pushing a screwdriver in it like butter. Anyway, i removed the foam to find the lead at the diverter valve for Pump 1. The original lines are just pulled out, as they were not glued in well, so small leak for years, then it got much worse. I will likely take out more foam to get to the bottom board to replace it. Also to let it dry some. Can you tell me about the replacement foam insulation. Is that something I just buy at a spa supply house? Hoping that not horribly expensive.
I have an Artesian spa Dove Cannon the leak is on the top side of diverter however is dripping down and under the tub. I unscrewed the cap and now it seems as though the manifold has dropped down and I can not get the cap to thread back on.
You need to remove the side panel and push the valve back into place with your hand and then screw the cap back on... if you try to screw it back on and the valve is not lined up correctly you could strip the threads and then you have a bigger problem Hope this helped Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
@@spaman5440 I could not get it to move up. I replaced the entire Diverter Valve with the help of your awesome video. The heat gun pro tip was crucial and what made this possible. I went a head and cut a piece of 1x2 off to length and wedged it underneath the valve assembly and bottom frame of the tub to keep this from happening again when the 2inch flex pipe starts to retracted again. Thanks for your excellent knowledge and advice. I enjoyed this project because your video gave me the confidence to tackle the job. YOUR THE MAN!!!!
why are you replacing all these valves? I mean aren't they serviceable like a new stem/plunger or o'rings. That's where I'm at on my tuff-spa the 2" orings are shot so I'm hoping to replace those and put it back together. Is there something I don't know. Not a pro here. Thx
All of the valves Ive had to replace are junk in one way or another. They leak or will not turn and most often you can not take the valve out because it is no longer round and is stuck. When they are no longer round you can not screw the cap on and when you can screw it on the water pressure blows it off and if you are not aware of it will empty the tub really fast. Sometimes you get lucky and you can just replace seals with no problems Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
I am doing another valve over the weekend and If you call the office I tomorrow I will make sure to cover anything I didn't cover in this video.. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
I have a dynasty spa, Topsail model. 7 person tub. The diverter valve internal has snapped off. I need to get a replacement part. Dynasty has been hard to get ahold of. Do you guys carry parts?
@@kevinbarone4046 Just the Primer and the glue...Never had a problem with leaks But I have had viewers that had some problems with leaks and come to find out they did not get things scraped clean enough.
Hi was wondering if you could help me please, I have a balboa hot tub but every time I put the power on it trips my breaker. I have disconnected everything but the transformer and it still trips, when I plug everything in and disconnect the transformer it doesn’t trip but no power to hot tub
Moving to position of the valve while the pump in on full speed... You should only move the valve when the pumps are off ..Hope that helps and Thanks for Watching & Subscribing

Can you use any deverter as long as it fits or has to be the same one?
Great video thanks so much for the information. Do you just use the regular good stuff spray foam from home depot or some special type of spray foam?
From HomeDepot int a spray can...

Im sure Scott will find this very flattering...You would have to call the shop in the afternoons and ask him. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING

How about showing HOW to remove valve BEFORE YOU remove the knob

How do you get all the spray foam off all the 2" tubes before glueing them all back into new diverter valve?
I scrape it off with a hacksaw blade(I use the straight edge side) takes a little work but it works great. Thanks for Watching & SUBSCRIBING
@@spaman5440 Ahhh. Okay. I did not know if that would be clean enough so was wondering if you used some kind of cleaner/solvent. Thanks
BTW. I did subscribe. Your videos have been great! Thanks.

...and the number one reason for broken Diverter Valves is...?
