PJ Washington has been amazing, but it's important to remember 7 foot rim protecting centers create defense for teammates the same way that PGs create offense for others. PJ Washington would not have the free range to be as effective as he is right now without the Gaff/Lively combo.

Grant was a negative defensively and offensively on the mavs idk what his deal was, PJ has been a positive from day 1 and since the start of March has been a MONSTER on the defensive end and has had some great offensive showings as well, he’s still got a ways to go on offense but this guy will be getting 35-40 minutes a night in the playoffs

They have played incredibly well against every team in the league, and now are contending for the 1 seed in one of the most competitive conferences in NBA history. And the warriors have shown to fall off quite a lot with Steph and Klay's decline, and Draymond's immaturity. I find it hard to believe their playoff experience can overlook some very clear flaws in their team.

I may be underestimating them, but it's not for nothing, To me, you can't read too much into the regular season because there are so many different things going on that affect the results and standings. And while Klay and Steph are older and on the back end of their careers, they're still capable of getting hot and destroying an inexperienced team.

And this season, they did not fall lower than 8th seed and they are poised to have 50wins this season, though as of this writing they have like 4 games remaining (Hornets, Heat, Pistons, OKC).

You are correct it has had a huge impact and you can see that the impact is not only on the way the team is playing defense but on chemistry… The Mavericks move the ball very good and if you watch enough of their games, they are absolute wizards at moving the ball around constantly there are games where Kyrie and Luka completely takeover but overall the ball movement is amazing and everyone is laughing and pumping their fist, and there is true energy there that is very positive that comes directly from chemistry in the locker room…

is really pj an upgrade to grant williams? take time to read, would love to have a conversation. i would say yes, but at the same time no. we knew from the start what this team is lacking which is a 3 and D guy like finney. adding grant doesn't mean mavs were already a complete team but with his defense i knew his gon add value to the lineup. trading grant williams is losing 1 of our shooters and trading it for 3 and D guy. there's a stat that we've became worse at the 3point line and became better at scoring perimeter and inside the paint. it's really hard to tell if it is an upgrade because there's a big difference between the two on how they contributed for this team. grant is a better low post defender against big guys using his chest and an elite shooter when at his best than pj. while pj is a better perimeter and an on-ball defender against smaller guards with his long wingspan than grant.
