As a guy who has never had any relationship and in his 30s, this is merely a slap in the face, and the sponsorship was the last thing I wanted to deal with.
im glad you gave credit to Tucker. Once he's out of the Bucks, i was like _"dammit"_ One thing i noticed about great defenders(perimeter or interior) is that they still need to have better defensive teammates to BE EFFECTIVE. Like how Kahwi have Timmy, how Timmy have Bruce, how Kawhi have Siakam and Gasol, how Tony Allen have the whole grit and grind. In the playoffs, a great interior defender on a bad perimeter defense team will look like what happened to Gobert. If it's a great perimeter defender on a bad defensive team, they will look like Marion and Kirilenko. Like their individual defense looks ineffective because the whole team is soft.
Prior to the 1970-71 season, the Royals stunned the basketball world by trading Oscar Robertson to the Bucks for Flynn Robinson and Charlie Paulk. Robertson paired with young superstar Lew Alcindor, now known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, to lead the Bucks to the 1971 title.
Aaron Gordon to Denver was the missing piece the nuggets needed. He can score around the basket well and post up and score efficiently in the paint. 15 PPG for the nuggets is a really good scoring average for a third option in Gordon. Plus the Nuggets lacked defense before. When AG got to Denver their defense improved immensely. Rasheed to Detroit was a trade that filled a crucial missing piece at PF for the Pistons. His ability to defend and switch onto bigs while holding the opponent to a low efficiency led the pistons to success in the 2004 playoffs.
Dope idea! IT (Suns to Celtics), Ray Allen (Bucks to Sonics), Monta Ellis (GSW to Bucks), Gerald Wallace (Nets acquired him and practically gift Damian Lillard to the Blazers) Man, there's so many. But I suppose that's the power of hindsight 🤷♀️
1994 #1 seed Hawks trade best player Dominique Wilkins to the Clippers for Danny Manning who then leaves in free agency that off season. One of the worst trades in NBA history giving up a franchise player for nothing when the shot at the title was wide open thanks to Jordan playing baseball.
for the aaron gordan portion of the video, i was hoping for that clip where jokic did a 3/4 court distance lob to gordan for the dunk. gordan said it was the best lob pass he had ever had.
tgat marc gasol move was so inportant because his defensive impact & floor spacing was huge aaron gordon was such great revel valve for the nuggets give them a elite finisher & can be a spacer too edit: i forgot about clyde & wallace & pau gasol
Honestly i think this should only be about a trade deadline deal that resulted in a title that season. Edit: Most egregious miss is 1989 Mark Aguirre for Adrian Dantley. Sure the Lakers fell apart to injuries after sweeping the West but nobody cares about that anymore Pistons still won a championship that same season.
if you do a little reasearch, you will see that marc gasol to the hornets was basically a done deal to help kemba walker. but because gasol wouldnt commit to the hornets after that season, the hornets backed out. so imagine if that trade went through and toronto doesnt get gasol. i dont think they win the finals without him
"Andy and the playerz" might be a good name for the gang after that ad🗣🗣🔥🔥. Not, but seriously, dawgs like Tucker are needed in championship level teams. Even if their impact is not in the stats, veterans like him, without any hesitation of doing the dirty work, are truly key role players. Teams are so much focus on stats that they forgot about basketball principles and how valuable vet role players are too.
Mychal Thompson traded to the Lakers halfway through the 1986-87 season, was important, he was good at guarding Kevin McHale in the nba finals that year.
I enjoy watching euroleague is quite excting all year around even know teams scrapping for a play in then the quarter finals , and the final 4 and the final it's very enjoyable ...
You missed Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood to Dallas, which happened in 2010. They won the championship the next season. You can brush off Butler but Haywood was such a solid backup to Tyson Chandler that the Mavs always had solid center minutes when needed.
Crazy thing about the Pau trade the Lakers actually started the season really strong if i remember they were a top 3 seed heading into the trade deadline and after that well the rest is history
Still waiting for you to make videos about NBA players who once dated a celebrity (ex. Andre Drummond and Jennette McCurdy), NBA players that were hated in a certain city (ex. Bill Laimbeer in Boston) and what in the world happened to Devonte Graham.
I forgot Gasol was a deadline pickup in 2008. I thought they traded for him early that season. The one I was looking for, the P.J. Tucker to Bucks trade, was first up.
i'd argue the most important trade in the nuggets history is the nurkic trade. its a sign that the franchise trusts jokic to lead them in the future which he did
I'm not sure Rodman traded to Bulls didnt count as it was not done in the deadline of the trade. But it was one of the greatest trades that made three peat.

Andrew Wiggins to the Golden State Warriors in 2020 led to a championship a few years later
Mark Aguirre to Pistons in 1989. Pistons couldn't win it all with Adrian Dantley. Then after trading him for Aguirre they won 2 championships.
Tyson Chandler and Peja Stojakovic to Dallas in 2010-2011

The Ad came out of nowhere, no pun intended 😅
It's so unfathomable how much of an impact both of the Gasol Brothers have contributed so much to their new teams that won a championship
That sponsor was outrageous 🤣
ANDY IS THE BEST!!!
Dude I 100 % prefer this sort of advertisement than those stupids ads related to gambling
I don't know. I mean I don't like gambling at all, but this is a pharmacy product. I hope this is a serious company with clean products.
The ad caught me off guard 😂. Never change, Andy.
Usually whenever Andy uploads I immediately explode in my pants but thanks to blue chew I was able to last almost the entire video!

Do you think Denver still would've won last year if they had somehow kept Jerami Grant?
Dope video idea ! Now do the opposite, mid season trades that killed the chances of a team winning the championship
Dope idea! IT (Suns to Celtics), Ray Allen (Bucks to Sonics), Monta Ellis (GSW to Bucks), Gerald Wallace (Nets acquired him and practically gift Damian Lillard to the Blazers)

@@elizabethgeorge168not 1 of those trades made a difference on either side they were all average teams regardless
I’m glad Toronto got Marc Gasol at the trade deadline
The shocking thing is there's still a contingent of raptors fans that thought we should've kept JV believed we still would've won
An underrated part about that PJ Tucker fit is that Giannis was able to move to center and let Tucker hold down the power forward as well.

Love that u said Bosh , rather than the basic Melo… Bosh makes way more sense, even in hindsight
aaron gordon was such a perfect addition to the nuggets. love seeing him and jokic work
I see ya Andy with the sponsor 😂😂
Honestly i think this should only be about a trade deadline deal that resulted in a title that season. Edit: Most egregious miss is 1989 Mark Aguirre for Adrian Dantley. Toronto Raptors 2018-2019 NBA season was so special to be alive probably one of the best years for basketball aswell
Thank you Kawai and Marc for delivering us Raptor fans 'Chip with the Dip!
The raptors were a legit team but we all know if Klay is healthy going into game 7 GSW would’ve won. They had all the momentum so it’s f Danny Green.
You missed Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood to Dallas, which happened in 2010. They won the championship the next season. You can brush off Butler but Haywood was such a solid backup to Tyson Chandler that the Mavs always had solid center minutes when needed.
Interesting and unique video idea! Would’ve liked to see more details - ie more trade details, how old the players were, etc.

Wait, WHAT?! the first one actually happened 😮
Sheed fits perfectly as a Bad Boy Piston
Aaron Gordon was the replace of Manninal. I Wish that Faried would've played with prime Jokic

The ad💀💀💀
Did you use that blue chew after the video or before
😂😂the ad
the ad legit made me scream pause
Here for the ad reactions 😂
the Gasol take on the money. he was a defensive player of the year and no one else came close to him that year.
It's surprising how many people watch the sponsor ad instead of just skipping over it 😅
Getting Aaron Gordon really was the most important trade Denver has ever made.
Raptors winning was the flukest all time lol them boys needed kd & Klay get hurt 🤦🏽♂️😆
Nah they were a great team that benefited from injuries. I’m sure they still give GS a run for their money if they were healthy.
Haha that ad got me 😅😅😅
This is dumb. You listed some examples where teams made a trade and then won title multiple seasons later. By that logic there are countless examples
I didnt see that ad coming, especially from andy “if ur watching andy hoops you know the deal” thats out of the blue chew!!
“At the time Tucker was getting older” good to know he’s the same age since then.
Andy off them blues 😂😂😂
I'm not sure Rodman traded to Bulls didnt count as it was not done in the deadline of the trade. But it was one of the greatest trades that made three peat.
