All these years, I thought having Brunch was for people to be snooty and snobbish, now I realize it's for those of us who woke up hungover and couldn't keep breakfast down but are too hungry to wait for lunch, and get today's day drinking started! It's a whole new world with this knowledge!! I'm totally down for a nice Bloody Mary at 10 am! And don't even have to say, "It's 5 o'clock somewhere "
Oh Julia, this looks heavenly, I can't wait to try it... Green shakshuka! I just might like your version best! I love hash browns, and I'm going to make these, but I think I'd like roasted fingerling potatoes with the shakshuka. This one's a definite keeper!
Love it. Another Home Run. In making the style Bloody Mary, when I don’t have any fish sauce I’ve substituted 2 to 3 mashed (paste) anchovies and it turns out great also.
The green Shakshuka looks good, and I may try it next time, but if anyone here hasn't tried the original way, I recommend you do that first. It will give you a point of reference.
"This is Helgen. I used to be sweet on a girl from here. Wonder if Vilod is still making that mead with juniper berries mixed in. Funny...when I was a boy, Imperial walls and towers used to make me feel so safe." Someone mentioned Juniper Berries?
You mention "so German" when talking about potatoes... But they come from South America, and not Europe. I think Peru. Funny how world trade makes native dishes out of non-native foods.
Plants don’t know boundary, they grow. It’s like fish in the ocean. Don’t get me started about what Europeans brought to the Americas cause I can go on and on all day and the wheel was one of those things.
@@Nicolas88814if you’re willing to dismiss that potatoes came from South America and go on to casually insert that things have also come from Europe you’ve rather missed your own point. Besides is it really worth taking the time to say it doesn’t matter where they came from? What is it that caused you to care in the first place. Cause something in you did.
I have been a bartender and made actual bloody mary's and they were made by the book. Nowhere close to whatever that cocktail you made and no your's is not a bloody mary.
Did not watch because it said Shakshuka,....I wanted to learn how to make that dish...not a riff on it....I am all for taking a recipe and making it my own...I do it all the time...just a misleading title..,.
I love watching Julia cook!👩🏻🍳

You could also use the chard stem like celery for Chinese fried rice along with other veggies .
Omg you made that into a feast , didn’t realize the feta was coming to the party too. Love it.
Girl, Thank you for the recipe and the laughs. Love this series.

I need those hashbrowns in my life.
Wonderful video!!
How come Julia is the only one doing work over there? She's pumping out videos like there is no tomorrow.
Nice Video - Good addition.

Blonde question- can you use a salad spinner to get excess water off of hash browns?
You could have added the salt earlier to draw additional moisture out of the potatoes
Yum😊
Did anyone look at the title and wonder why ATK was making Hash Brownies?
Mid morning day drinking not far enough for you? Hehehe
where you stoned? 😂
Are you high?

I like to add pickle juice to my Bloody Mary.
Homemade picked onions are a very overrated pantry product, I hope canning comes back! 🙂
Can I make it without Vodka?
Yes
Sure! It’s better with gin
yes. but why?! lol
There's a reason why they named it HORSE radish. 🍆🤣
Slow down a lil bit there Julia

Yup. Italians and tomatoes.

Why be so pedantic about a tuber? She's referring to the dish.
3:16 Is it just me, or does Julia look a little.... stoned?
