- The ALL NEW Sorento is here and Kia wants to bring some of the magic of the Telluride to this SUV. On the outside the Sorento is sitting on a new chassis and features a redesigned from fascia with standard LED, new 18in wheels and ton of other changes. On the inside the interior has been brought to and all new level with more space, better materials, and new technology. Under the hood is a 2.5 inline-4 that is producing 191HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic with available AWD. Is the 2021 Kia Sorento the NEW SUV to BUY?

@@RaitisRides I've seen in a few of your videos, when you go to reverse, sometimes there's a settings option or another option on the screen for the back camera or whatever, and you never go in to it. I've seen a few videos. I have no idea what they do, that's why I'm zonking it 😂
agreed! I'm a Honda buyer for the last 25 years, and now I'm thinking of living the H-Island for this vehicle.

Where the hell is the V6 engine ? Honda Pilot has a vtech V-6 , this can't compete with that kind of power nor a Traverse etc. Give me something with some balls !! Interior looks nice though. Maybe they can add an upgrade next year....

Then you'll have to compromise - because Sorento unfortunately comes with automatic with only lowly weak 4 banger 2.5l - only 180hp lol. Or you can get 2.5 turbo, but that comes with a catch 22 - the rough shifting unreliable robot with dual clutch (already recalled in Russia for reprogramming due to rough shifts on low speeds).
@@azerogliev6520 I believe Hyundai/Kia fixed the issues with their DCT in the new 8-speed wet-clutch DCT. I know they had recalled the 2016-2018 Tuscon's (first models equipped with 7-speed dry clutch DCT) in the US for poor shifting

I just test drove one of these AWD’s...I loved it! They really did a great job! Agreed that the interior textures and “pleather” are some of the best. I really thought it was well thought out. I walked away...this time. But it will be test driven again soon.

Spent weeks researching small 3-row SUVs and your videos helped so much! Got a 21 Sorento S, wish they didn’t lose a seat on all the higher trims but still blown away at what features the S trim has for what we paid

I work at Kia plant in west point ga and one day on break i seen telluride sorento and k5 park next to each in all 3 look like family from front end headlights and grill area i like how kia making them look alike FYI I'm on door line and let's good baby telluride

@@RaitisRides Oh no, thank you! I was debating on the Seltos for my wife, but its a bit small. The Telluride is a bit too big for her, so the new Sorento is just the perfect size. I'm so glad they redesigned it, otherwise, I would've never even considered it. Keep up the great work!

I test drove one of these today, I really like it. Perfect mid size and a great upgraded edgy look and drive. Only thing I'm concerned about is that this brand does not appear to hold it's residual value?? I've been researching, so I'm a little torn.

I've had my 08 kia since 2012. Good solid vehicle. I haven't had any major problems yet. Love this new redesign

@@RaitisRides Russians tested Kia Sorento long before, but i was not convinced to dream about. When i saw you trying it, i went to check local prices for Georgia and it looks they offer only 2.2 diesel for around 30000 bucks for premium line which is quite interesting
I’m not sure how I feel about those AC Vents... other than that everything looks wayyyyy better than previous model year.
Maybe they will grow on you once you see them in person.

Good report Joe. I went to my Kia dealer looking for the Sorrento SX Prestige. All they had were several S variants which is nice but I want “the stuff” and the 2.5 turbo. Dealer said first qtr. 2021. On a positive note, they have a good supply of Telluride SX fully loaded on hand!
Yeah the SX models will be coming in soon and they definitely are doing better with Telluride inventory.
My first Kia was a Soul and I didnt want to but it! Thought it was cheap and mass produced! But it great on me and I ended up liking it alot! 2 years later I traded in fir a Telluride and couldnt be happier! Telluride is everything i look for in a vehicle and so much more!

We have had 3 Kia Sorentos, our 2nd one we were stuck by a reckless driver doing 45mph and at the time, (I was a passenger) I did not have my seatbelt on because I was bent over lacing up my work boots...(lesson learned)
ANYWAY, the Sorento kept me alive.
Well, my Angels kept me alive, but the Sorento helped me stay alive.
It took me a couple of years of rehabilitation,
BUT,
I AM ALIVE.
