I like the backsplash in the kitchen but I don’t like the granite color/pattern with it. The wood floors are so beautiful, and I love the way your wife kept some character to the house. I hate seeing dull renos. This one is lovely

The wall that separates the living room from the dining room, I'd like it either opened or put a large opening in the wall where you can see through to either room. Then you can add hanging plants at the top. 😊

Egress windows are designed to provide a safe means of exit from a building in case of emergencies, such as fires or other hazards. The basic intent to meet the code requirements is to ensure an escape in an emergency.

I like living room separated, because if there is a tv in LR, it could be kind of annoying to hear it, especially if you’re trying to have a conversation with someone in the kitchen. Also while watching tv, don’t want to hear voices of people talking in kitchen.
Definitely a nice house, but some interesting choices, especially in the kitchen with that knee wall, if that was my place that would be gone, looks like it would get in the way.

Must be combining upstairs AND downstairs in square footage cuz that upstairs alone is not 1900 sq ft as around here only main floor and finished up stairs can be considered more Sq footage plus if wall between dining and living room was removed it woulda gave house a bigger feel the door going to living room seems silly but just my thoughts. Nice house though.

i don't like to smell food cooking from the kitchen while i'm trying to eat and the smoke as well. i like the open plan look but not practical at all.
