  • Harper's Old Country Store sits at the cross roads of West Virginia's Routes 33 and 55. Over the summer, it recently gained an official title from West Virginia Tourism as the oldest business in the state continuously run by the same family.
Matt Harper, the fifth generation store owner gave me a tour through its history.

I remember sitting on the porch talking with Joe Harper every time we'd come to visit, I still carry the knife that he gave me years ago. The Front Porch Restaurant had the best pizza anywhere...great memories. I love Seneca Rocks and Pendleton county, it's more home to me than where I grew up.

Id love to visit this place some day! Hearing old day storys seeing things from way back when is such a joy to me! I personally wish the mom & pops stores were still around or even just the way it was 30 & 40 years ago miss it so much!

I am now inspired to recreate this in Fallout 76.

I was there back in 1989, my father took me over there to see the Golden Eagle.
My family is from Webster Springs WV Webster County
I spent my summer's on Grassy Creek at Dad's place.
Over the years I have wondered what happened to the store.
I live in Missouri and have not been home since my folks passed
