My son was young, just out of college and he was working in New York for the United Nations. He was working on a project contracted by his company. The company paid all his expenses! He was the expert on the project, United Nations was complaining about having to pay ,someone so young. A year later, they tried to hire him directly away from his company. Was not worth it for him if he had to pay his own expenses.
Wow! For almost the same price 20 years ago, we bought a gated community 5500 square feet,4 bedroom,3 1/2 bathroom,2 car garage ,heated pool house with ocean view from the top floor,in Pacific Highlands(adjacent to Pacific Palisades,Los Angeles). These prices are just insane right now.

Mmph... $1.625M for a fourth-floor walk-up? At that price point I would look for something with a bit more character (interior & exterior) and with an elevator. BUT... this is nice. I liked the sizing of the balconies, the closet & storage space, and surprisingly... even the food preparation area. Besides the room sizes (which are good) it's about finding the appropriate size furnishings for a space. However, while this is nice (and I do like it), I'd keep looking.

Given the prices we've seen in recent years, this seems to be on the mark. It's just not my mark - or most people's for that matter. But that aside, it's a beautiful little apartment, with everything you could ask for. It'd be perfect for you Cash! Each of the girls with their own bedroom, and a lovely suite for you and your beautiful bride. I have a question Cash: Do you still have your real estate company, or are you full time on your channel? With the quality of the videos you show, and especially with the new social commentary branch, I can't imagine you'd have any time for anything else other than your family. This place would be by the "L" train which goes to Union Square where you can transfer to a train to take you to Google or Facebook. Someone living in Manhattan might be able to get to work without changing trains. Someone in Williamsburg would have to change trains. This is as convenient as anyplace. Too bad Kellogg's Diner went bankrupt. Technion is at the southern tip of Roosevelt Island. Take the "G" north.

"A ton of kitchen going on here". My kitchen area would take up half of that apartment and I would consider mine average size but I don't live in an overcrowded city. Perception is what you are used to.
New construction is the way to go. Newest materials and technologies for pipes, water heater, hvac, water, garbage disposal, electrical. Old buildings, even restored, will have decades of age related problems just waiting to happen.
Everyone knows that anyone who owns a lime/neon green Jeep like the one at 1:42 must be one cool, fun-loving son of a gun with a great sense of humor. This universal truth was once again corroborated by the Discover Connection channel in their series where they hitchhiked across America in 30 days - in one episode they were in a residential neighborhood in Alabama, knocking on doors looking for someone to let them sleep at their house for the night, and at one point they knocked on the door of a house with a lime green Jeep out front, leading to one of the best encounters of their entire journey, with a guy named Wade. I highly recommend watching the whole series because it's only 10 episodes, none of which are too long, and the whole series is amazing, but in particular keep an eye out - or should I say, JEEP an eye out 😉 - for Wade. Dude is an absolute character.
It’s beautiful… but for $1.625 mill they should have put drawers in the lower part of the kitchen instead of cabinets. Cabinets are too hard to access and stuff just gets lost in the back. @@MosDaft Oh, I've been to New York once in 2019, and I'll never return 😂😂😂. I rented an air bnb in New Jersey and took a bus into New York on day 1. First thing that greeted me when the bus parked at the stop was a homeless female peeing standing right there on the wall. Nobody saw that as weird and they kept walking on. I was shocked. Next I saw was hordes of people walking up and down every single street. I saw tons of smelling trash bags on sidewalks with garbage spilling out of them. Everywhere looked dirty, old, and smelly. The metal grates on the sidewalk floors vented hot carbon monoxide from the subway system and the smell sickened me. Next was Times Square. The entire Times Square was crowded with people with hardly any place to walk or stand. Most restaurants had a waiting time of an hour or more. I vowed never to return to that smelly, crowded city unless I have good reason to do so.
Skate Parks ! Those are the public places where high school kids with the reading levels of third and fourth graders learn how much a band-aid cost at the local hospital , how medical billing works , how medical collections work , how to file for bankruptsey and all kinds of cool stuff !

There's absolutely an urgency for NYC to upzone neighborhoods in BK and Queens to build up capacity. Send those tax money to MTA and have them build the streetcars urgently needed for a modern urban environment. Heck, let them acquire land adjacent to transit stations and build TOD projects on top.

Given the prices we've seen in recent years, this seems to be on the mark. It's just not my mark - or most people's for that matter. But that aside, it's a beautiful little apartment, with everything you could ask for. It'd be perfect for you Cash! Each of the girls with their own bedroom, and a lovely suite for you and your beautiful bride. I have a question Cash: Do you still have your real estate company, or are you full time on your channel? With the quality of the videos you show, and especially with the new social commentary branch, I can't imagine you'd have any time for anything else other than your family. But - yes - it's a great little apartment. Perfect for just about anyone.
It would be cool if you did a brief run down of the where a potential buyer/renter might work when you visit these places. I.e. What are the closest tech companies, etc. I love your videos. Just found your channel.
Or even a ETA to the most common tech companies in the various areas, I.e. “30 minute ride on _ train to Google” or “10 minute ride on the bus to ___ tech company”. Maybe you get what I’m saying…

This place would be by the "L" train which goes to Union Square where you can transfer to a train to take you to Google or Facebook. Someone living in Manhattan might be able to get to work without changing trains. Someone in Williamsburg would have to change trains. This is as convenient as anyplace. Too bad Kellogg's Diner went bankrupt. Technion is at the southern tip of Roosevelt Island. Take the "G" north.

"A ton of kitchen going on here". My kitchen area would take up half of that apartment and I would consider mine average size but I don't live in an overcrowded city. Perception is what you are used to.
They're interesting, but if I were going to spend that kind of money, my preference would be for an impeccably restored prewar classic six.
New construction is the way to go. Newest materials and technologies for pipes, water heater, hvac, water, garbage disposal, electrical. Old buildings, even restored, will have decades of age related problems just waiting to happen.

Everyone knows that anyone who owns a lime/neon green Jeep like the one at 1:42 must be one cool, fun-loving son of a gun with a great sense of humor. This universal truth was once again corroborated by the Discover Connection channel in their series where they hitchhiked across America in 30 days - in one episode they were in a residential neighborhood in Alabama, knocking on doors looking for someone to let them sleep at their house for the night, and at one point they knocked on the door of a house with a lime green Jeep out front, leading to one of the best encounters of their entire journey, with a guy named Wade. I highly recommend watching the whole series because it's only 10 episodes, none of which are too long, and the whole series is amazing, but in particular keep an eye out - or should I say, JEEP an eye out 😉 - for Wade. Dude is an absolute character.

It’s beautiful… but for $1.625 mill they should have put drawers in the lower part of the kitchen instead of cabinets. Cabinets are too hard to access and stuff just gets lost in the back.

Meh. People tend to live in New York either because they grew up there or because they work in certain careers. For some jobs it's almost impossible to not spend some time living in NYC.
You've obviously never been to New York. This isn't "tiny" by anyone's standards, other than multimillionaires. This is crazy spacious compared to normal, middle class apartment homes in the city.
@@MosDaft Oh, I've been to New York once in 2019, and I'll never return 😂😂😂. I rented an air bnb in New Jersey and took a bus into New York on day 1. First thing that greeted me when the bus parked at the stop was a homeless female peeing standing right there on the wall. Nobody saw that as weird and they kept walking on. I was shocked. Next I saw was hordes of people walking up and down every single street. I saw tons of smelling trash bags on sidewalks with garbage spilling out of them. Everywhere looked dirty, old, and smelly. The metal grates on the sidewalk floors vented hot carbon monoxide from the subway system and the smell sickened me. Next was Times Square. The entire Times Square was crowded with people with hardly any place to walk or stand. Most restaurants had a waiting time of an hour or more. I vowed never to return to that smelly, crowded city unless I have good reason to do so.
I finally Subscibed cus I like the way you express to explain stuff and your videos always interesting to watch.
