  • Exercises to relieve pelvic pain during pregnancy. Improve Pubic Symphysis Dysfunction (SPD) for pregnancy comfort. Pregnancy leads to an altered pelvic load, lax ligaments and weaker musculature. This leads to pubic bone joint instability, which manifests itself as symphysis pubic dysfunction. Strengthen & Release the surrounding muscles for better balance & alignment of the pelvis.

    Really don't recommend anything one-legged when you have SPD. The second exercise in this was agony when I even attempted it. Maybe good for early or pre pregnancy, but not later if you have spd/pgp

    Not pregnant. Kid is 30 now. My CTscan says I have a moderate case of this dysfunction. Yay me.

    I can’t wait to try this! I’m not sure I have SPD but it’s so hard to get off the ground (especially holding my first child!!). My first pregnancy, exercise really helped with the pelvic pain and back ache. I’m 33 weeks and know it’s going to take some endurance to get to the finish line 😂❤️

      I hear you on this second pregnancy stuff! I definitely didn’t feel as strong and sturdy as I did with my first but my Webster certified chiropractor that I saw weekly I think had a ton to do with how painless I felt in my second pregnancy compared to my first. But yes endurance was a struggle keeping up with my crazy running away toddler was so hard! Lol

    Is this safe to do at 14 weeks pregnancy?

    I just have been diagnosed with SPD and I can barely walk correctly and was told by my chiropractor to keep my legs closed and together as much as I can so I can’t do most of this cause my pelvic will start to pop and I’ll be cry or screaming

    Im 15, never been pregnant, but my pelvis feels like it’s splitting in the front and about to come apart. My mom had this and it completely separated when she had me. I also have clicking and sharp pains in the side of my hips. What should I do?

    I have SPD but am nearly at the end of my pregnancy so not sure it will really help much now. I was wondering though, would these be good to do after birth as I read that it can take a bit of time for SPD to go away

      Yes I still felt some pelvic instability afterbirth / postpartum. Strengthening the surrounding muscles and inner core muscles and ligaments helped me align and stabilize my pelvis again! 😘

      This was my question as well. I think I may have developed spd late in my pregnancy and just not realized it since now that I'm looking up what it is because of postpartum pubic I definitely had many of the symptoms. I just thought the pain was from being my 7th pregnancy.

    I am getting mentally ready for baby n3. But this is literally the only thing that keeps me waiting. I really struggled throughout both of my pregnancies and I found the pain unbearable. I am trying to find more info of what I can do to cope. Thank you!

      Expect that pillow exercise between legs is impossible to do😬

    • @DanceePinkston
      @DanceePinkston  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love that you are mentally preparing! So proud of you for looking for other options! Really?! Like the pillow keeps dropping?..I had to hold the corner just a little so that it didn’t! Or because your legs are having a hard time moving in that motion?

    • @natalia1045
      @natalia1045 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DanceePinkston thank you for your kind words ❤️ the movement itself hurts very much I remember . Both in and out motion (legs close and spread). I am trying to straighten those muscles before pregnancy because from what I have learned they are holding the pelvis together? So hopeful when I straighten them now they won’t hurt once I get pregnant again…
      I recently miscarried in unplanned pregnancy and I knew I was pregnant just by this pain, it was so sudden and it hurt a month and a half after miscarriage. So idk if I have high Relaxin level or if there is something wrong with my pelvis .. 🤔 I had a nice home birth but couldn’t walk for another 3 months without excruciating pain :( I think I have this because otherwise I would have thousand kids 😁
