Worth doing the next section up as there are some fantastic spots especially as you approach Penton hook lock. The only issue is boat 🛥️ traffic once the weather warms up so evening usually best.

@@MUCKER671 - Popular place is at the Bottom of Penton Avenue. Spaces for 6 cars. Free safe parking that gives you access to the river bank. Walk left towards the Penton hook lock or right onto “Silver Sands”
