Hi there, not sure where you mean.? I've searched Google Maps but can't find Ferry Boat Lane, do you mean Ferry Lane joining up with Thames Side just above the Layham stretch as there are two lakes, one either side of the M3 motor.? If that is the case then I'm afraid i don't know much about them, i think the most northern lake of the two is club owned.😊👍

@@MUCKER671 I’ve live in Brighton now and have done since I was 20. I’m 60 now. But when I go back to the area and particularly the Thames Bankside’s, the boyhood memories come flooding back. Your vids help me remember too. One disappointment was revisiting Broadwater lake. As a kid I hauled many an early morning tench to 4.5 lb out of there. No point staying past 10am as it would always die. I also once sat watched, and learned as a guy hauled out bream after bream using bread and float lift method . But when I returned a couple of years ago it looked dead…almost toxic. Whatever happened to it?

It's so sad when you experience things like that, my closest river is the same in places, water extraction, Nitrates and fishing clubs with good intentions but bad ideas.. You would think that the government would help the EA out with more financial support as fishing is still the largest participated sport in the UK and all over the world. So many different problems.. On a lighter note, it makes my day when i here my vids help lovely people like yourself reminisce about the past, I get quite a lot of messages like that which makes everything I do with the free fishing vids much easier. It costs me a packet just to get to the Thames let alone camp etc but i wouldn't change it for the world.. P.s i absolutely love Brighton, great people food & shopping..😊 I take my much better half on her Birthday sometimes and stay in the Hotel in the Marina. Glad you enjoyed the vid and plenty more coming soon. Camping & filming myself fishing the free spots from my Bellyboat on the Thames this Monday for 10 days. Hi there, it's been a while since i used the shield, if i remember correctly i purchased a Bluetooth keyboard which helped with interacting with the Ui. I used the older Shield Pro so maybe different to slightly newer versions though. I'll try to find the link for the app i used, i think I've saved it. Leave it with me bud..👍

Hi, I've just tried to use the link i saved for the APK in my Emails but it no longer works. Have you tried using the words "for Android TV" in your Google search for the APK as that may help when searching.? I'll have a look around myself a bit more and let you know if i find anything of interest. P.s If you have a fairly modern Android Tablet or Phone with usb-c hdmi out function "maybe usb 2.0 / 2.1 or higher?? you can plug it in to the TV or Monitor to screen mirror it. The shorter the usb lead the better can help decrease the latency/response times greatly.

Hi bud, as far as I know that's correct, Staines Bridge to the Sea. There are private spots all along the river but as a general rule yes.. I've posted some vids on the Tidal Thames just bellow Eal Pie Island to just up from Richmond Lock at River Ln & Ham St if you're interested in that type of fishing. Glad to help anytime bud..😉👍

Hi bud, for me personally, for the best chance it has to be with a small inflatable boat at Shepperton Wier and Chertsey. It's always been the go to for me. From the bankside I'd recommend Cigarette Island at Hampton Court or Aragon Avenue, wait till the rivers really really high then fish with Luncheon Meat amongst the tree roots under your feet, there normally dried out in normal conditions. If you can find a parking spot, Kingslawn beside Thames Street opposite Green Street in normal conditions can work as well. Stick to these 3 spots & you shouldn't go to far wrong. Think Cigarette and Aragon may have a night fishing ban at the moment, not sure, worth checking first. P.s patience is a virtue on the Thames nowadays as so many fish are taken for food by the uneducated..😒😒 Hope this helps you out in some way bud.😊 If you catch, let me know..😉👍🎣

I forgot to mention Bait. For me it's normally sticky high oil Trout Pellet Paste round the Weight & Hookbait, Trout Pellet Boilie, try not to loose feed and don't be afraid to cast around sometimes.. Thanks for the message bud, and it's a Pleasure by the way ☺️👍🎣

Had to change everything over from sea fishing to freshwater today, Yikes..! Hi there, you need a licence to fish all fresh water rivers and lakes in the uk bud.. It's the E.A Course & Non Migratory Trout licence..😊👍

Pleasure bud..😊 You don't have to pay to fish this stretch because it isn't a day ticket or club water (it's free to fish) but you will still need to have a Environment Agency Rod Licence to Course fish anywhere in the uk, including here.. It lasts for a year. You don't need a Rod Licence if your under 13yrs old. A rod licence only grants you legal permission to fish and a day ticket or club membership is something you purchase either before you go or on the bank depending on where your going. It's the way Fishery owners make there money. I hope this helps you out my friend..😊👍

Hi buddy, gorgeous area but i know very little about it, i know it can hold a lot of Bream but I'd imagine it holds all species. I'd imagine just like most of the stretches I've covered it's normally best between 3 & 5am or short frenetic patches during the day. If you can get to a Weir that'll help with more consistency. Hi buddy, definitely Jigging, never tried freelining with bait there, probably best to do that as the tide slows down either side of high and low. I'd wait for a Neep tide for that. I would recommend Drop Shotting for the Perch around the Slipways near high water on Bothe the Ham Street and River Lane Vid's..👍Hope this helps you out bud..😊

@@MUCKER671 - Popular place is at the Bottom of Penton Avenue. Spaces for 6 cars. Free safe parking that gives you access to the river bank. Walk left towards the Penton hook lock or right onto “Silver Sands”

Chichester Harbour at the moment but big plans for the summer. Langstone plus Gonna do Nab Tower 5 miles out to sea again plus a day round the Needles Isle Of Wight in the Bellyboat, can't wait for that one.. Spent most of my childhood grubbing around Thorney for WW2 plane parts, old bottles etc. Used to sell them at the local Haberdashery. Used to fish the 2nd Deeps & Wicker Bank for Flounder. Around 170 was my record.. Filming a sesh of Wicker Bank in the Bellyboat soon.. One of my main challenges this year's to catch a Flounder in Chichester Harbour but they are so rare now..😊👍

@MUCKER671 Chertsey is my nearest stretch of the Thames , but, I've been fishing the Basingstoke canal a lot in the winter, decent Perch, Pike & Roach, but the Cormorants & Mink are getting a plague. Don't get too itchy waiting for June.

Got some cream for the itch bud..🤣 Your lucky to live near the Thames, especially Chertsey area, it's definitely a great spot for Barbel when you're tucked up by the Wier. It costs me around £70 in fuel each visit.. Ouch..! Plus Camping etc. Serves me right for having a small camper with a 3 L Diesel engine.🥴 Worth every penny. Lol..😂 If you see me in the Bellyboat this summer give us a shout and I'll pop over for a chat..😊👍
