Definitely worth a look.

Good evening. Glad you managed to get down. The other parking spot is at the top of Penton Avenue. You can then turn left towards lock or right towards “SilverSands”. Real shame at the moment as lots of rubbish has been piled up at the lock/weir side from the December floods. Not sure why the EA have not cleared it up as those “Posh” houses 🏠 are all looking out on a floating rubbish island.

Thanks again for the heads up on these spots.👍 I filmed Penton Hook Rd & Penton Av that day as well, gorgeous area compared to a lot of the free stretches and most of the people were really friendly (recon the nice weather helped) LOL..😂 I saw the boat up on top of the Wier and all of the trees etc, what a mess..! Penton Hook Lock looks really nice, can't wait to see the full footage when editing. Thanks again bud it's helped me out big time..😊👍
Penton Hook Island is a lovely spot. I used to fish it on a lock and weir ticket when I lived in London. I found the easiest access was to park upstream of it at the end of Penton Avenue and walk along the towpath to the lock/island. Half a mile or so tops.

There is parking nearer to the lock off of wheatsheaf lane and another place off of the laleham rd, the section to the left of where you parked, i see that a couple of swims have had a rose bush planted right in the middle to try and stop people fishing but i have spoken to the council to try and get the issue resolved i will be fishing along that section this year and will look out for you, good luck

It's gorgeous up that way, lots of lovely people, had a great days filming and my much better half actually run out of Dog treats by the end. Can't wait to start editing the Penton Hook Lock episode. Thanks again so much for your ongoing support, your amazing..🤜💥🤛

Hi buddy, gorgeous area but i know very little about it, i know it can hold a lot of Bream but I'd imagine it holds all species. I'd imagine just like most of the stretches I've covered it's normally best between 3 & 5am or short frenetic patches during the day. If you can get to a Weir that'll help with more consistency. Hi mate been looking through your river Thames videos. Can you recommend the best spots you have found over the years for barble. Have not caught one yet, been two a few Sunbury-On-Thames spots but had no luck yet
Hi bud, for me personally, for the best chance it has to be with a small inflatable boat at Shepperton Wier and Chertsey. It's always been the go to for me. From the bankside I'd recommend Cigarette Island at Hampton Court or Aragon Avenue, wait till the rivers really really high then fish with Luncheon Meat amongst the tree roots under your feet, there normally dried out in normal conditions. If you can find a parking spot, Kingslawn beside Thames Street opposite Green Street in normal conditions can work as well. Stick to these 3 spots & you shouldn't go to far wrong. Think Cigarette and Aragon may have a night fishing ban at the moment, not sure, worth checking first. P.s patience is a virtue on the Thames nowadays as so many fish are taken for food by the uneducated..😒😒 Hope this helps you out in some way bud.😊 If you catch, let me know..😉👍🎣

I forgot to mention Bait. For me it's normally sticky high oil Trout Pellet Paste round the Weight & Hookbait, Trout Pellet Boilie, try not to loose feed and don't be afraid to cast around sometimes.. Thanks for the message bud, and it's a Pleasure by the way ☺️👍🎣

Is it true you can fish for free anywhere from the staines bridge too the lock?
Hi bud, as far as I know that's correct, Staines Bridge to the Sea. There are private spots all along the river but as a general rule yes.. I've posted some vids on the Tidal Thames just bellow Eal Pie Island to just up from Richmond Lock at River Ln & Ham St if you're interested in that type of fishing. Glad to help anytime bud..😉👍

Just remembered, it's on the west bank below Stains Bridge, was gonna film it on the same day as Penton Avenue etc but my back was knackered after a massive day's filming. Maybe my next free fishing vid, it has Blue Badge parking as well.. Cheers bud..😊👍🎣🎣
