The biggest crime of this Eurovision is going to be juries virtually ignoring "Ulveham", which is one of the few songs this year that deserves to be called a "masterpiece" on every level.
To sing with a band with that volume of drums and guitars you have to be technically strong and vocally powerful. It's not simple at all. Much respect.
lol glad someone likes her singing…but as a vocal coach this does not sound technical to me. It sounds like a lot of nasal shouting on pitch. But each to their own!
@@unravelingsoul9705 or you could take some classes in proper vocal technique 🙈 in all seriousness, I’m not well versed in the culture, but the culture and metal side of things doesn’t account for pitchiness, nasality, and more. There is a way to keep the vibe and still fix the technique. And I liked the girl who represented Norway last year, she was a phenomenal technical singer. But that’s just my opinion and you are entitled to yours as well! No hard feelings.
@@jennakelly7830 sorry, but you are wrong. Gunnhild's technique (which is the singer) is similar to the slavic white voice, a traditional folk singing technique. In particolar, this is called "kvede" and she studies it from age 9. It is an ancient singing modality based on singing poems and poetry, which are involved in the history of Norway. These techniques are so particular and folkloristic that are studied only in those countries in which they are born. Also Kateryna of the Ukrainian band Go_a sings with this technique, but her is more connected to slavic tradition.
My winner.... And even if it doesn't win.... Still MY WINNER!!!! 🥇 from the very first time I listened to it many many weeks ago.... You rock Norway.... Best of lucks from 🇪🇸 ❤❤❤❤
My absolute favourite song this year!! I’ve listened to it dozens of times and it still hits me emotionally every single time. Gunnhild’s voice and emotional power is phenomenal, and so is the energy of the entire band on stage! Authentic, hauntingly atmospheric and I love the symbolism of the song. Truly something special! Much love from Germany :)
@@sylvainpolti1101 In original version it is so clear that she is trying to get loud, we love "her quality" and that is why we do love this version 🙏🙏🙏
This was the real winner for me, truly genius and pure talent. I don't know how they did it but this song is simply bigger than eurovision song contest. It's an instant classic for people that have carry some quality musical taste and experiences :) Congratz Gåte 😊
I have read the lyrics in English and now I know how to feel as I listen to it! Now its easier to make images in my head! 😊 Thank you Norway for this magical entry! 🙏🏻 ❤
Norway was the best at Eurovision this year and I don't care about what the jury and public vote game them, Gåte will have more fans than ever because of this competition and that is the best part about Eurovision! Great admiration from Australia
100% Winner if there is no corruption, which I doubt. This is the only song from Eurovision that I liked and that gave me goosebumps. Incredible vocals and an atmosphere that is truly Eurovision level
One of my favourite Eurovision songs ever and definitely my winner this year! It’s absolutely spellbinding! 🤩✨ Gives me so many goosebumps every time… 🥰 Lots of love and the best of luck from 🇩🇰
I would love for Norway to win Eurovision 2024, they've had many good songs the last few years but Gåte is one of the best. Lot's of love from Denmark 💖💖
I really wish this band a victory. They are my personal #1 for now. And the clean vocals just strengthened this rating. But this voice alone isn't enough for winning: there are other contestants that have voczl talent and technique. Powerful music also is important. Way to go, Gåte! All the best wishes to you from Ukraine!
I love Eurovision, but this might be a VERY unpopular opinion. Gåte is simply too good for it. Ulveham is just beyond the average Eurovision listener (I am so sorry if I offended any of you( -- but it had to be said). It is so mature, beautiful, and complex in many dimensions. But I am thankful to Eurovision as I would had not (probably) discovered them without it. P.S., I do absolutely adore Of Monsters and Men ( 12+ years fan), but this is much better. Check out their song "Førnesbrunen" (and please, look up the story and lyrics, and listen to the end -- it builds!), And no, I'm not Norwegians or even close.
Glad Norway grew some balls to send an authentic song that is actually in Norwegian and even sounds like Norway. Big respect.
"Balls" 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely, finally! My top 3 (from Croatia): 1. Norway, 2. Ukraine, 3. Lithuania

I would like to ignore her “screaming”…AHEM pardon me, that’s what some people think singing is
No professional juror can let this go unnoticed.
@@IHaulBoxes Fingers crossed. Eurojury certainly didn't love it.
this is so amazing, televote will hopefully do norway justice
it sadly happend
Norway could be a dark horse and create surprise to win Eurovision song contest this year
I think so. Its captivating and insane from a living room tv perspective
definitely
ABSOLUTELY!
what do u mean with dark horse
I love it when they in sing in their native language. Thats what Eurovision is all about, showcasing ur culture and language.
I absolutely agree.
@@esc_stan_uk The juries also aren't corrupt nowadays.
@@esc_stan_uk Then half of you didn't actually do your research.
Um, there are other ways to showcase your culture that isn’t singing in your native language.
