    This is the prime example of why he is genius. It’s not the stuff he writes and produces. It’s the magic of live creative performance. A superstar like Chris Martin doesn’t mind looking foolish at first to figure out where Jacob is going. Not many artists can be this vulnerable live. Shout out to two of my favorite artists of my life. Cheers bruddas!

    • @framebadger

      They both do an astounding job of putting the audience at ease. 'Mistakes' don't matter. Why my section of the audience wasn't quite sure of its note, JC quickly put us back in our place and kept the magic going.

    • @gwatteau8170
      @gwatteau8170 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +3

      He is musical genius in multiple ways, charting new territory on each. Getting the audience to participate surely is one of them.

      @@collinmuniz3707 hey im a big fan of JC, but tbh I haven’t heard one of his songs that makes me want to play it on repeat. Coldplay has 3/4 of their catalogue I can play on repeat. I tried to understand why I loved JC SO MUCH. This live creative process is why. A creative genius can have multiple mediums. Some mediums really highlight their genius more than others.

      If I was in that audience I would never be able to understand what he wants from me. I don't get how all the people know what to sing

    • @BassByTheBay
      @BassByTheBay 31 นาทีที่ผ่านมา

      @@os-qt1hc It helps that there are many musicians in the audience, but all Jacob is really doing is giving you your starting note and cueing whether you go up or down to the next note in the scale. Even people who don't understand a single thing about music theory know what a major/minor scale sounds like, so I bet you'd get it even if you didn't get it right away.

    I was in London by chance for work. A colleague invited me to the show, but I had not heard of Jacob Collier before. The first song of the show had me with goosebumps. Then he played, “What a wonderful world“ with his mom, and that made my year. But this performance was the best musical experience I’ve had in all of my 58 years on earth. It was my first JC concert, but it will not be my last.
    Just pure bliss that healed a part of my soul. ❤

    Jacob is a unique musician, but not only because of his amazing skills, but the chance he gives to non-musicians to be a part of every song during his whole show. His connection with people is something I haven't seen in my life. He's not only "directing" them, he's encouraging them to express themselves and create beauty with him.

    Jacob deserves a nomination for a Noble Peace Prize for his contributions to Unity and Humanity through music. He creates transcendent and profoundly healing unity
    with an astonishing universal language he's discovered that's innate to humanity. Additionally, he's unifying the languages of music across music genres and cultures through his internationally-lauded contributions to the science of music and global music education. I encourage the people on the Nobel committee to attend a large event of his to experience the result of his Gifts and generosity. My hope is that his nomination will help further spread unity, humanity and hope.

    I was waiting for this, I knew it was going to become one of my go-to videos for certain dark moments ♥ But it also made me laugh, Chris with his usual imposter syndrome and Jacob doing his usual magic to show Chris how great his music is... A really beautiful moment.

    Chris with the subtle foreshadowing that tears would indeed be streaming down our faces during that section

    wow I was there ! Everyone's energy from the very beginning of Fix You was so palpably emotional, even moreso when we created the sea of little lights - but the pure excitement from all of us in the crowd was electric and I'll never forget it. I'll be forever honoured to have been a part of the O2 Audience Choir, genuinely breathtaking and spellbinding. 🥹
