A: "But why are we having you talk about the vocations series?"
Fr. M: " Uh, because somebody's got to do it."
    😇🤣

Oh I love this: "If I was listening to my heart I wouldn’t have become a priest."😂
As someone pursuing a vocation for the past five years, waiting and preparing since I am so young, I laughed so hard during this video. I think I went through or was told every one of these bad misconceptions and just recently started to realize how silly they all are!
The greatest moment is when you realize you don’t have to be special - you can be ordinary while still being heroic for God ❤

Thank you for clarifying vocations. So much of what is out there as far as council is more like a discovery of an unmanifested superpower rather than just checking out and trying at a vocation after assessing candidates for impediments. It's insane how hard vocations are made when it's pretty straightforward.

Hello and thank you for this talk. Every night with my children we pray that God will show them their vocation, it sounds like we should be praying for the graces to be a religious/priest instead, does that sound correct? Thank you again!
    God bless!

No, a parent has no RIGHT to choose a vocation for the child. One can pray that ONE of his children be given a religious/priest vocation but that's it. Wouldn't it be far more prudent to simply pray God' will for each of them and that they remain on the narrow path?

Many people about vocation has many wrong ideas! MAGICAL and sentimental ideas!

@24:25: Yes, priests/religious generally are more generous than marrieds, but there are exceptions (e.g., Abraham, King St. Louis IX).

This is great. Father explains it in such a way that flies in the face of pretty much everything I’ve ever heard about vocations. I have family in a “conservative” NO convent. The Mother Superior has told discerning sisters (according to sisters who have chosen to leave) that if they leave: 1) they will go to Hell for not following God’s will for their lives and 2) they will damn other souls to Hell for whom they would have otherwise won graces by their prayers.
I can see a sense in which those things could be true, but it sounds wrong-headed in light of this explanation.

    • @user-xr7qn3rs4v
      @user-xr7qn3rs4v ปีที่แล้ว

The NO convents are just as infested with not only heretics but also sexual deviants as are the seminaries and religious orders. Your "family" should leave with their sanity intact. Hopefully, they have acquired skills to support themselves.

Thanks a lot for this Podcasts! I want to ask to the Father: If God sometimes gives more than one path! If sometime there are more opportunity for certain people! For example God leaves freedom to choose between stay single or getting married! without risks for the soul!

Combining consecration eg to the Immaculate Heart of Mary AND marriage... where does this lie in Father's hierarchy of generosity?

Is there an age limit, if a man is in good health?

For the priesthood, it’s 35 years of age per Canon Law, though exceptions can be made and are not unheard of.
