Excellent bowling. I bowled in that house many years ago. It is a good-looking house. Talking about good looking, Monicelli's sister had many pleasant features. Thank you for posting this tournament.
OK, thank you so much for these. I have watched so many of these in the last week and enjoyed them all. The history in these shows, the commercials, the whole thing brings back so many memories of rushing back from travel league with the older guys so I could watch this before basketball or football practice. I was one of those 220 average at 15 left handed crankers from a small town and afraid to take a shot on the road with my sponsors. I still regret it... Thank you... :)
sparkytdg me too, although I’m right handed I was on Social Security from my fathers death but my mother refused me from pursuing the idea. Went to college and eventually received three degrees by the age of 44 years and never did anything with that knowledge
For some reason the PBA claims that Mats Karlsson from Gothenburg, Sweden was the first foreign born PBA title winner. I would guess that Guppy Troup was an American citizen by the time that he won his first PBA title, but he was born in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Mark Woolery NBC had some of the worse commentators for bowling. Iliked Earl Anthony but the other guy was so boisterous he dominated the conversation. BTW, they call him Harry Sullins, not Harold Sullins, the Ironman of bowling.
Andrew Phillips One can forgive Rickie Sajek if he has developed a love affair with the Miller Brewing Company. Already in 1984 he finished fourth in their Miller High Life Classic at Miami and captured the Meister Brau (Miller-owned) Open at Cleveland. In Milwaukee he became the first double winner for the season in the $150,000 Miller Open. Sajek's victim in the championship game was leading qualifier Ted Hannahs in a 224-219 thriller.

Bob Handley had no luck at all.
Guppy Troop was the first foreign born player to win a PBA title, no matter how much they want to ignore it.

You got this from WPTZ Channel 5. 1 of my childhood TV stations back when I was living in Vermont.
Really Liking these full telecasts Keith .. Thank You
29:26, my fav "Sportsworld" promo.
I remember the semi-final match of Aulby vs. Handley at the 1985 PBA National. Strikes were flying, and the match came down to the 12th frame...
that could have been a 300
These announcers did a pretty good job.
Marshall Holman had a total of 11 strikes and had 1 open frame to win the Kodak invitational
Andrew Phillips spoiling the outcome again? Asshole
Marshall Holman and Amleto Monacelli have bowled well against each other
Andrew Phillips ,
Marshall Holman and Amleto Monacelli have bowled well apart from each other also
The first match was exciting and close
Andrew Phillips
Mark Roth and Earl Anthony have bowled some exciting matches
Boring announcers. Sorry but they were never like Schenkle and Burton. Not even close.
Mark Woolery

@@douglasharris5216 Earl Anthony had the personality of a fart in a rain barrel.
Do you have the 1984 miller high life open?
Andrew Phillips
