love the older rigs the best - and of course, Chris and his orange jeep is the ultimate in how to travel full time with a realistic rig you can actually use! thanks for the eye candy!
This is a nice complement to gaining a better understanding of so many awesome rigs of which I saw while in Flagstaff this year as well. Very nice to hear the back stories coming from the rig owners and manufacturers alike. Thanks for the deeper insight as it is much appreciated by me.
Brad, it was a pleasure meeting you (my wife enjoyed meeting you as well) at the KC booth on Saturday. You have a great channel, and a number of your mods are similar to what I have done to my 2014 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon.
Thanks Brad, nice to see familiar faces. Also, glad venture4wd was there and I was able to see that he's turned comments back on. So I'll be watching him again now too.
It's such a cool event and really, 3 days isn't long enough, I still don't think I saw everything. It would be awesome to take an Earth Roamer out for a test drive, but I'd be so nervous I might scratch it! LOL!
Love it! Almost envyious to see all those cool rigs and I bet there would be manufacturer booths from 3rd parties as well. Hope for more. Cheers and 73 from Sweden
Next year I hope to go to overland expo west. I'm up in Kingman so it's only a few hours away, hopefully I'll have my Rubi 2 door set up a little more. I wish you saw the 2 door in use for overland a little more.
Jeeps are toys, period. May God help you if you hit anything more solid than a paper bag in a Wrangler/TJ, because that half-assed excuse for a cab won't lol. Cherokees are safer, but they burn more oil than they do fuel.
INF1D3L010 It's funny you say that, Wranglers are one of the cheapest vehicles to insure because that don't sustain a lot of damage in crashes compared to other vehicles...
Great video! I am a budgeted over-lander and would like to see videos of vehicles with this is mind. For the most part, everything in you r video would be way out of reach for most of us. Do you have any footage of cool rigs on the lower end of the cash output?
I like these trucks but way do all these rigs use double cabs? If ur a family fair enough but i would think a single cab would give you alot better and bigger living space
Imo all of those modern full size trucks (and especially the stupid "luxury" overland vehicles) are waaay too big, and way too fuel thirsty. Something 4Runner/Tacoma sized is ideal.
I wouldn't hold your breath on this LC America company bringing modern LC 70's into EPA compliance. If there was an easy solution for that, Toyota would have figured one out by now....
No disrespect to any of those awesome rigs, but all I hear is: my roof rack, my drawers, and so on, are made by.... do people stop building their own rigs by themselves? Or they just bolt on accessories and that's that? I mean, I'm building my fj40 by myself, sure I'll take more time, but it's more rewarding...at least for me! Great video nonetheless
So my good friend Chappy that I drove up with and has been in a few videos with me has not only built his own roof rack, but also built his own trailer... I think maybe we'll do a walk around of it in the future.
TrailRecon yes it would be so good to see that, what I really like about your videos is the fact that you do everything yourself to your jeep, and I don't even own a jeep, it's your hands on attitude my friend! Keep the good work! Saludos from Venezuela
It's almost like different people have different skills, time constraints, finances, desires, workspace, timelines, etc. Good for you for building your own stuff but who cares?
I'm really starting to wonder why new Rams have eschewed the "4-panel" grille in favor of the eye-sores they're putting on them now. It hardly even looks like a Ram anymore. If it didn't have those lower "tractor-style" front fenders, that truck literally could have been made by any of the big manufacturers. It's just devoid of personality now. Even Nissan has Ram beat when it comes to style. My land-lord has one of them (a 1500 Laramie,) and literally every time I see it from the back first, I mistake it for a Ford. Pretty sad, no?
Grear video but...and please take this as constructive criticism as meant. Your joke about taking the $1.5M F750 Conversion on the Rubicon...not good. Solely because there are too many who truly don't understand there is a decided difference between Crawling, Rock Crawling & Offroading or Overlanding. They bitch about taking a rig like that & tearing up land, ripping down trees, etc & attempt to close down areas & trails (few as they are these days) that were at one time open too us. Just my opinion but I'd rather see you educate than joke, to expand our amazing past time. But the jokes are just fuel for the fires of those that are too dense to understand the differences. Thanks for sharing a wicked event with guys like me who can only wish to afford to go, it's excellent to see!
Jesus, EarthRoamer prices are out of touch with reality. But they have been in business long enough that they must sell some to rich people who have wheelbarrows full of money to burn.
love the older rigs the best - and of course, Chris and his orange jeep is the ultimate in how to travel full time with a realistic rig you can actually use! thanks for the eye candy!
Completely agree, his rig was my favorite!
This is a nice complement to gaining a better understanding of so many awesome rigs of which I saw while in Flagstaff this year as well. Very nice to hear the back stories coming from the rig owners and manufacturers alike. Thanks for the deeper insight as it is much appreciated by me.
The Nissan Pathfinder in the parking lot has a Tool sticker.
I believe we could be good friends lol
Brad, it was a pleasure meeting you (my wife enjoyed meeting you as well) at the KC booth on Saturday. You have a great channel, and a number of your mods are similar to what I have done to my 2014 Jeep JK Unlimited Rubicon.
overland bound people are awesome. love their videos and they always respond to people.
Great folks for sure!
The way the sun was catching Michael's pin striping was a thing of beauty.
His Toyota has seen it share of off-roading for sure!
Love that there's a possibility to be bringing 79s to the states
Great meeting you at Expo! Another great video......
Thanks for the tour of all the different rig set-ups. Great Channel!
Thanks Brad, nice to see familiar faces. Also, glad venture4wd was there and I was able to see that he's turned comments back on. So I'll be watching him again now too.
There were a lot of great people at the Expo, wish I could have done a few more interviews.
Thanks Brad!! Being fortunate to attend, I took so many pictures and my to do list grew significantly. Thanks for another great video
So much amazing stuff to see there, it was a little overwhelming!
What a neat show. Those Earth Roamers are amazing. So nice. It's amazing what people do with their vehicles. The map Jeep was neat too.
It's such a cool event and really, 3 days isn't long enough, I still don't think I saw everything. It would be awesome to take an Earth Roamer out for a test drive, but I'd be so nervous I might scratch it! LOL!
First time.great event. I like off road adventures.
Gotta love Michael and his rig
Awesome video Brad. Getting me super pumped for Expo West 2019. Nice job with the interviews.
Awesome take Brad! Thanks for sharing for us who can't be there 👍
You are very welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
The diesel at the end is amazing!!! Great vid as always!!
I'd love to take that TJ Brute for a spin on the trail!
I wish some of these events were closer to me!
Love it! Almost envyious to see all those cool rigs and I bet there would be manufacturer booths from 3rd parties as well.
Hope for more.
Cheers and 73 from Sweden
Some of those vehicles are obscenely priced!!
Thanks for sharing this event. Lots of great builds there.
So many amazing builds and I only covered a small fraction of them.
Great job Brad with the videos....you must feel like a kid in a candy store with all these awesome overlanding rigs👍
I only wish I had more time to film... there were so many other cool vehicles. Next year!

Wow, thank you for the trust and support... really appreciate it!
That is a lot of eye candy in one video! Love the TJ truck with the diesel!
I was a kid in a candy store for sure!
a Geo Tracker will get you out there, same as the Earth Roamer:)
Great content as always! Thanks for meeting with us at expo!
Great meeting you and thanks for the awesome hat!
Your video got me all fired up today, so I went out and changed the oil on my TJ!
Then gave it a good bath, it needed it from this past winter... LOL
Happy to supply a little Thursday motivation!
Nice video, thanks for sharing ✌
Great rigs! It’s like Disney for 4wd enthusiasts
just got my Vector dash and 67 design mounted in my jeep love it thanks for the videos....
Right on, glad you are happy with it! I love my setup!
Next year I hope to go to overland expo west. I'm up in Kingman so it's only a few hours away, hopefully I'll have my Rubi 2 door set up a little more. I wish you saw the 2 door in use for overland a little more.
Thanks Brad - love your videos.
Thank you so much!
Man that 79 series was a beast, jeeps are toys compared to them.
Jeeps are toys, period. May God help you if you hit anything more solid than a paper bag in a Wrangler/TJ, because that half-assed excuse for a cab won't lol. Cherokees are safer, but they burn more oil than they do fuel.
INF1D3L010 My 2012 jku saved me and my daughters lives in an accident on the freeway. Don't know what you're talking about, but best of luck to you.
Pure amazing.
INF1D3L010 It's funny you say that, Wranglers are one of the cheapest vehicles to insure because that don't sustain a lot of damage in crashes compared to other vehicles...
@@joshbrown811 he's just an edgelord.
Great video, thanks for putting this together. Looking forward to the next installment.
Merci pour la vidéo, cela permet de voir ce qui ce fait comme véhicules d'expéditions!
Thanks for sharing, you’ve got a great looking..... uh...... Jeep. (Of course!)
Tomahawk looks like it's ready to hunt Graboids all day!

TrailRecon Thank you 👊
I love Michel's trail pin stripes. Jest like mine! all cool!
His rig has been well used for sure!
Great video! I am a budgeted over-lander and would like to see videos of vehicles with this is mind. For the most part, everything in you r video would be way out of reach for most of us. Do you have any footage of cool rigs on the lower end of the cash output?
We need more info on that Red MB with the front off the ground i think it was the second vehicle that you featured?
Love the video great job lots of nice rides
What brand are the black storage boxes on the side of that Tomahawk?
I like these trucks but way do all these rigs use double cabs? If ur a family fair enough but i would think a single cab would give you alot better and bigger living space
At 14:34 what bumper is the F-350 working with?
It was awesome meeting you brad! Come out to AZ more often!
I hope to get back to AZ a few times this year. I really want to hit some trail in Sedona on my way home, but just ran out of time.
Overland bound rocks👍👍
Man i wish they had a overland midwest!!
That would be awesome... I'd love to make it out to Expo East, but just too far. A midwest one would be manageable!
Thank you! Great video! Bsafe!
Thank you very much!
my folks had a 64 Wagoneer, with the 6,3 on the tree and me and my brother beat the crap out of it and it just kept going for years
No love for 2 door JKs... Just kidding. Awesome video, keep them coming.
LOL! I tried to find one, honest!
I'm looking for ideas to make overland modifications to a Toyota Tundra CrewMax TRD Off-Road 4x4. 2010. Any suggestions ?.
Man have you realized how close to 70k subscribers you are , 60 subscribers away to be exact ?? Btw great video as always !!! Keep it up
Pretty crazy.... never, ever would have imagined. Thank you for the awesome support!
TrailRecon no a problem man you deserve a lot more support than what you are getting
I find it hard to believe that tomahawk hood ornament could be street legal. lol

Any info on anything like this on the East side of the U.S.?
Dang you’re on fire!! I’m gonna get to work tomorrow!!
Just a little lack of sleep to work editing! Your rig walk around coming soon.... spoiler alert!
Weird....never heard of a diesel jeep till this week on here
Benchmade jeep, hell ya
The new midlife crises!
LOL! Better than buying a Corvette.... although if my wife would let me I'd have a 1970 Vette in the garage!
TrailRecon totally agree!
*new and improved!
Lmao
@@TrailRecon yea you could definitely spend more on overlanding than a Corvette wifey might be better off letting us get Corvette's lol
I just don't get YT, why would someone ever give a thumbs down on a vid like this? Good job TR, I enjoyed the quick look at the cool machines of OEW!
No worries, you can't please everyone, just glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you!
Hey brad!
Imo all of those modern full size trucks (and especially the stupid "luxury" overland vehicles) are waaay too big, and way too fuel thirsty.
Something 4Runner/Tacoma sized is ideal.
Another awesome video...good to see some YTs in this one. Did you happen to run into I am Jake? Like button smashed brother.
Thanks for the smash!! I didn't get a chance to talk with Jake this year, hopefully we can connect in the future.
needs more tj’s👀
How do these guys have the money and time to travel around endlessly?
Hey Doc, are you going to East as well?
I would love to make it out there, but I've got one big trip planned and will have used up all my vacation time. Maybe next year... we'll see.
Hope you can make it out!
Is there a reason that nobody seems to outfit 2/Dr JK’s for overlanding?
I'm sure there are some out there, just not on display this weekend.
Yeah maybe because of less space inside, its the best JEEP for rock crawling but not for overlanding IMHO...
Checkout Hatchetthejeep in Instagram!
I was so mad when I wasn't able to go, my new tires didn't show up til a day after the show
But at least know you have new tires!
no 4 runner?
Someone didn't watch the whole video! 8:54

11:16 Chris is awesome ! venture4wd on TH-cam
He's a true gentleman!
Anyone have a link to the tomahawk build on Instagram? Please and thank you
TO MANY HAPPY PILS ......CUT BACK..PLEASE!!!!!

did you see iamjake out there?
I always prefer to see home built, over bought, bolt on high dollar rigs.

spamanator666 at those prices, 1 or 2 a year ought to do it!
👍👍🇨🇦
Stop saying nice.
fine, pleasant, good, like, satisfactory, delightful, charming..... nah, nice works!
All worthless in my eyes. There's only LC 80 series or Patrol with td42. Amen.
All I see is $$$$
Get your $300 4x4 and get out.
nice vehicle but way overpriced sorry
