I ordered the stuff to build something similar a few days after the expo, I think it's a great DIY project that you can use in several applications.
Like your videos Brad. Any advice for first overland vehicle?
Justin Madsen : get something with lots of aftermarket support. I own a 1st Gen Xterra and as much as I love it, I hate seeing everything available for the “05+ Xterra”. It might be cliche that every overland vehicle is a 4Runner or Tacoma, but the aftermarket support for those rivals a Jeep Wrangler.
I'd recommend something capable and reliable. You don't have to spend a ton of money, the Jeep XJ is a great platform for a budget build.
Hi Brad, just curious, you think your XJ would have any issues pulling any of those trailer set ups?
Honestly, some of those trailers are really cool, but they looked a little heavy and without the tow package, the XJ max is 2000lbs.

Thank you! The company that owned the truck was call Nuthouse Industries, but I don't think they sell the shower setup, just think its a DIY project... something I might be doing in the future.

I want to tell you some awesome news too. Yesterday I seen my first ever Overlanding Jeep here in Sweden. It was a 2007 Rubicon, raised with 35" Wheels, steel front bumber and winch. It had a roof to tent and awning and it came from Switzerland. Stopped to talk to the owner and they told me all those things they put on the Jeep was illegal in Switzerland. Cant have big Wheels, cant have steel bumper, not allowed to carry anything on the roof, extra lights is critically illegal too.
They told me wherever they go and wherever they stop people look strangly at them. It is not only for the Beautiful Jeep but it is really rare with Overlanding here. The most similar one can get is in Denmark it is quite common with a kind of trailer that has a fold up tent. Kind of a clam tent that takes up the whole area of the Tent.
Anyhow, I have been in Contact with the Swedish campint organization and discussed Overlanding and prices at camping sites. They have agreed that Overland camping in Swedish camping sites will be charged as Tent + Vehicle ($8-12 approx) instead of as a mobile home or Caravan + Vehicle ($20-60) which is good.
By the way, in Sweden we have the "All mans right law" which means you can freely camp in the Woods on private property for 24h without consent from the owner so you really dont need the camping sites unless you need the services.

Yes, it is. And here in Sweden they do things to to illegalize. Example you cant register a new car with steel bumbers. Even if you buy one that in US have steel bumpers it comes with plastic over here.

Alu Cab is still not very informative regarding their product. Would like a setup for a Ford F-150 & these guys are geared towards little Asian trucks. If you want to do business in the US, then we are overwhelmingly regular (aka full) size truck people. Tacoma has zero appeal for most of us; let’s get some overland slide-in campers for Ram, Ford, & Chevy/GMC.
