    I have been sewing for a number of decades now, but I have always had minor difficulties with rolled hems & understanding some aspects of the presser feet, so had always stuck to manual hemming (iron, stay-stitch, stitch etc), until I came across this video by accident. THANK YOU!!!!!! ♥

    Thanks for this, I was struggling but your tips on how to hold the fabric did the trick.

    I have a Opal 670 and I couldn;t get the beginning of my 5mm hemmer foot to catch until I watched your video and tried it with the pin and your techniques. Perfect. I've also done zigzag and decorative with it. Thank you so much.

    I really like this video! This is the best technique I've seen; I've tried it and it's perfect. Now I love using my hemmer foot. Thank you so much!!!

    Good demo! Please lift every presser foot and show the backside too. This would have been helpful in understanding the differences between them. Always show the accessory clearly front, side, bottom on each one. Thanks!

    Great video. Do you have a suggestion to use the foot when you have to go thru side seams? Rather than continuing beautifully, all I get is folds on the side seams.

    When using the straight stitch plate, I always use the stitch width safety lock found under the tools menu.

    I have the same question as the previous commenter - How do you do 90 degree corners? Do you have to take it out & restart it?

    • @HeirloomCreations
      @HeirloomCreations  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Darlene, Yes, you do need to take it out and restart the hem at each corner. Follow the suggestions at the end of the video using water soluble stabilizer if needed. ~Sara~

    I have the 5mm hemmer and tried the 'overlock' stick on my HV Sapphire 930 and simply cannot find ANY stich that will actually go over the edge of the material to create a 'scallop' effect. I REALLY want to achieve this, and am very frustrated I can't figure out how to do this... Is there a trick? I wish you had shown how you do this as well as the final result. If you could post an answer, I would love you even more!!

      +bgp9634 Hi, I would recommend having you local Husqvarna Viking store help you with the fine tuning of the technique you are searching for. Take the fabric in with you that you are trying to scallop so they know what you are working with. Thanks for watching. ~Sara~

      +HeirloomCreations Thank you my dear for replying so promptly!! I will do as you suggest. I have a feeling it depends on the material you are working with... I was just using a cotton blend. By the way, you have the best tutorials on You Tube and have watched every one at least twice!! Excellent.

    Hi - Many of our videos do have transcripts which could be copied and pasted in a Google translator. The Husqvarna 140M is very similar to the Husqvarna Viking Emerald 118. We have made lots of videos on this machine at SewingMastery . com Check it out. Thanks! ~Sara~

    I love watching how you show starting the hemmers, that is indeed the toughest part & I love my 5mm thanks to your instructional video! I bought a 10mm hemmer for my HV a while back (Sapphire series only), hoping it would make my final 5/8 hem on dresses a breeze without all that ironing. I can't figure it out at all, it doesn't have a drill like twister but I assumed it's the same theory. Can you show an example of the 10mm hemmer in one of your soon uploaded videos? HV 412 99 00-45
