Some how I found you. I just purchased a used Viking Designer Diamond and had no idea about the presser feet. First, thank you for a very simple and informative introduction to the various feet. Secondly, I just want to note how down to earth and genuine you are. Truly a breath of fresh air in a world of TH-camrs who over edit for perfection. You weren’t phased at all when you ran into a couple hick ups and I especially liked the fact that you didn’t edit them out. I’ll be subscribing because, as I said, you are genuine, fun to listen to and knowledgeable. 👏👏👏👏👏👏. Well done.
Thanks! I just got my 980q yesterday. I’m so excited. I had the Viking #1 for over 20 years and loved it. Looking forward to this machine for many years to come.
Thank you for taking the time to make & post the vid. I'm a long time Viking owner disappointed at the lack of info at the Viking site for putting their feet into action. It was cool to see a teflon foot in action, I've had one for years but never needed it. Note to everyone watching, a blind hem foot takes practice before you sew on your fashion fabric. You can use a plain regular zig zag stitch with a blind hem foot, so your machine doesn't necessarily need the special blind hem stich to work with a blind hem foot.
Brittany, I totally enjoyed your informational video. Was delightful to listen to you (wonderful laugh), and so very natural giving instructions on a machine that we can tell you truly enjoy.
I've been sewing on a Sapphire 870 for about 10 years now. I absolutely love it and can't imagine getting rid of her! I hope your Epic brings you as much sewing joy as my machine has brought me.
Thank you Brittany for showing me a new version of the Viking machines. My machine was a Viking I bought in 1986. Something broke inside my machine where the cord enters and the cord itself is degrading. I have been without my machine for 11 months. I can't afford a new one or even an used one right now. I am borrowing my daughter's brother right now. I enjoyed this video because....an old girl can dream!!! God Bless
Brittany I simply love you. I don't speak english, but I can understand all you say. I love your videos. I have been learn a lot with you. Congratulations
I have a Singer/Janome now, and a thirty year old Viking. I really like the way the feet slip onto the Viking, they have been using it since at least 1995, it is an excellent design. Nice presentation!
I love your videos Ms. Brittany, in case you didn’t get a chance to watch my Make Nine video, I gave you a shout out for the McCalls wide leg pant tutorial. I give you the biggest compliment on the quality of your filming, now that I have started. I never assumed it was easy, but it is forcing me to learn to edit, and think of so many things I hadn’t considered! You are making me wish I didn’t have a nearly new machine, I don’t really think about how much easier those feet are to change....
Great video - just one correction. It’s a quilter’s quarter inch piecing foot not a “piercing foot”. It gives a 1/4” seam for piecing the top of a pieced quilt (as opposed to an appliqué quilt).
Your video demonstrating the Epic 980Q is on spot -love it. Although video is a few years old, I was wondering if you can answer my question. Can the Epic use 3rd party feet or is it proprietary to Viking only? Thank you.
A good in depth presentation of the presser feet. Just for your information the keyhole buttonhole you stitched out is generally used on coats and jackets, the button sits in the hole when the garment is closed. I have a Viking Orchedia purchased in 1990, and 3 Bernina sewing machines. All machines stitch beautifully. Having watched your sewalongs recently I'm inspired to start dressmaking again.
- Good job. You can make a guide for the fold by gluing together popsicle stix or tongue blades then placing double sided tape to the bottom. It helps. Thanx for sharing. I've owned my Viking since 2000 & love it.
Excellent video👍! I love it❤! Although this video is 5 years old, I hope you can still answer a few questions. I have the same machine, and I'm having issues with the automatic buttonhole attachment. When I plug it into the back of the machine and align the wheel with the white dot, sometimes the buttonhole stitch doesn’t stop and continues to stitch down the fabric. This problem only occurs occasionally when using the automatic buttonhole attachment, but I can’t express how many times I’ve ruined shirts because of it. Has this happened to you? Also, are you still using the 980Q, and have you encountered any issues since recording this video? I noticed you don’t answer many comments, but I hope you’ll reply. Thanks!😎
SpicerSunrise Lions hi. Okay I’m gonna try my best to put it in words to explain it. Apologies for not adding that in. So if I’m installing a zipper using a regular straight stitch. On the touch screen, at the bottom of the stitch line, it’s a plus and minus button that you can push that will move the needle over to whichever side you need it. I hope I explain well for you to understand! ❤️
Found it. The help screen at the bottom was covering up the + and - for needle position. Your clue about it being at the bottom of the screen put me on the right path to find this valuable feature.
Great demo, so clear! Now, time to invest in a new vid-camera, as this one cannot seem to stay in focus and unfortunately that's taking away from your otherwise great presentation.

Wow! You are really good at presenting these tutorials . Thankyou

Thank you for sharing, I don’t see many videos on our machine. You are clear and concise. I enjoy watching your channel.

Sherry Collins oh wow! That’s awesome! I hope she will continue to bring me joy too❤️❤️

It was hard to find HV feet tutorials. I have an Epic 2, but your great work here still applies! Thanks SO much!

Carole Just Carole it is a great design! Thank you so much Ms. Carole for watching!

Excellent video! Thank you
Thanks for the lesson. 🥰. I want to get back to sewing. I used to make quilts.
Really, the best organized onboard storage in the industry!
Great video! This machine looks like it can wake you up in the morning, it does everything LOL!
Dee P. Lol! Thank you Dee❤️❤️
You are so real, thank you.

You are a very good instructor, you explain very well.. thank you..
Thank you so much for this wonderful video. It was most helpful to me. I look forward to more videos from you! 👍🏻😊
Great vlog. Good to know for any machine.
Jill M thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
A key hole buttonhole, this is what tailors do by hand..I just read this in the beautiful book The Measure of a Man by JJ Lee.

Your demo is very helpful and interesting
You are Adorable! Thx for your videos!
Loved your video My 980Q is new and I cannot figure out how to drop the feed dogs! ?
Are you sewing on felt? Maybe jean? Seems thick and i feel demos should be done with fabrics we always use which is quilting cotton.
Thank you, very helpful
Appreciate you
Love d features and accessories.
You are so cute and sure make watching this fun with your adorable personality💞
Hi, does this machine has a streching stich / foot - does it work with the knitted fabric? thanks
👍
Does this machine have a cording foot option? Even if it doesn’t come with it, can you buy it as an accessory?
How do you add the designs to the machine is a huskvarna Viking designer SE compatible to add embroidery designs, and how?
Wii the foot pedal lower the foot?
If you want to demonstrate how to finish the edge of a seam, then sew on the edge of the fabric.
How does one move the needle position left and right on this machine?

Is one able to change needle position in straight stitch?
Yes if you’re sewing a straight stitch, you can change the needle position from the center to the left or right and sew the stitch.
Brittany J Jones how do I do that. It is not where it was on my SE.
Found it. The help screen at the bottom was covering up the + and - for needle position. Your clue about it being at the bottom of the screen put me on the right path to find this valuable feature.
How much doz this cost.
I cannot get pressure feet to raise please help designer 1
Znice demo
