Great video demonstrating different features and thorough explanation of features. I really appreciate the close ups where I can see what you are doing in detail.
How do you select between the orange stitches and the white stitches? I want to select the white stitch under the #7 but I keep getting the orange stitch above the 7. This may be a very basic Q. Sorry! Super novice here! But thank you for this tutorial, it’s packed with useful info.
I loved your helpful video. I have a Viking 120 and never had a problem or 35yrs...now I am wondering if I can use other pressure feet. Thank you from Scotland 🏴
Hi, Angela, I'm glad you have had a great experience with your machine. Are you asking if you can use specialty feet? Is there something in particular that you'd like to do?
I have had the machine for a few months now and am getting used to it. Had a problem with the automatic buttonholer on a thick fabric, also on a faux suede fabric. I find that on some fabrics I am better off doing manual buttonholesk, which is explained in the manual.
I think you could probably do that, but it would take some skill. You would have to stop with the needle down and execute the curves yourself. I would suggest drawing two parallel lines so you can make all of the curves more equal.
Yes, it looks like you can. Your machine is in group 3. If you go to the Husqvarna Viking website, you can look at the accessory guide. Any feet that have a number 3 should work on your machine. That may be confusing until you go to the site. I hope that helps.
Sylvia, What kind of material are you using? What type of thread are you using? When did you last change your needle? What settings are you using for tension?
This machine is not made by Viking but outsourced to Asian mfg . there is not adequate clearance to do double welt cording though gladly they will sell the accessory to do this. Piece of junk wish I had spent a little more money for a quality machine!
I have watched several tutorials on the Emerald 116. Yours is by far the most detailed and helpful. Thank you!
I just inherited this machine and wasn't sure where to start, really helpful. Thank you! :)
Glad I could help!
Thank you for this! My friend let me borrow her sewing machine and i've never used one before, this will help me get started! Thank you!
Happy sewing!

Glad I could help!
Thank you! I just found this machine at goodwill for 10 and I wanted to see how to use before jumping in.
The greatest tutorial on this machine ! thank you !!
You're welcome!
Just bought my new machine today. Your video was helpful, but I will have to practice before working on a garment.
Always a good idea to practice!
Very clean and concise explanations. I apprecate that you didnt go to fast. Nice tempo so I could keep up.
Thank you, Yolanda. I'm glad you found it useful.
Thank you so much! So simple to follow your instructions

Perfect demonstration. Thank you!

Thank you for sharing that tip!
Great!!! Thank you.
The needle shouldn’t move up and down when filling the bobbin. Is there a pop out or release on the side of the machine?
On this machine, the needle does go up and down when winding a bobbin.
Exactly. The tutorial is helpful but she has done a few things incorrectly. Maybe she’s nervous.
She should of pulled out the knob . The pushed in again to start sewing. Not sure why she missed this important step . Strange.
Pull on the wheel that is on the right side of the machine. That disengages the needle for winding the bobbin.
What about Husqvarna 116???, looks great i want to buy it for my wife!
It’s a great machine!
Wondered if the serpentine stitch can manually be done on my Viking husqvarna 116

Yes. I would like to purchase new pressure feet but, not sure if they will work.
I will check for you.

Thank you very much for your helpful reply, I have already looked and I am happy to see quite a few pressure feet will fit my machine. 💐
I'm confused between janome 725 and huqvarna 116 what is the best ?
Well, in our opinion the HV Emerald 116 is a better quality machine and will last longer.
@@lizzlepoo Thanks for your advice 🙏
Why does my material draw up
