same I know it's a good series wholesome as heck probably top 5 romance animes of all time but I dropped it after episode 2 not because it's bad but the Mc is how do I say this uhhh not manly like he's submissive and breedable its not a bad thing it just not my cup of coffee

The main problem is that they actually started out in a relationship. I feel as if we weren't able to see them build feelings for each other and etc so it became kind of underwhelming but that's my personal opinion though.

don’t mean to speak for someone else, but my perspective is that it’s creating unrealistic relationship and partner standards since things like this usually don’t happen in real life. it leaves you with false senses of reality and your expectations can be really damaging for a person in their own relationship if they keep comparing it to things like this. not to say this is impossible, it’s just highly unlikely.

It’s rather because people know it’s (I don’t like how you used unrealistic so I’ll go with unlikely like you ended with) unlikely to happen. It’s just a feel good type of thing. And it’s honestly pretty healthy through dopamine which staves off depression. Also if a person expects the best for themselves without bordering on pretentious or being an bad dude about it. It’s not bad at all. But then again maybe it’s just me. But I disagree with the person saying it’s unhealthy for you. That’s just not true

For someone who usually dislikes romance series, this is one where I really like every part. And that might be due to this series having little to no unneeded drama and just pure wholesomeness

The biggest issue with this series is the fact that it goes nowhere. It has insane art, an interesting basic premise of reversing roles and his "curse", but then does nothing but slice of life with no progression really. I'd love to see this art and premise with another plot.
They didn’t even kiss each other in the lips yet somehow it’s more thrilling and heartwarming than most other ones
It's beautiful to see how Shikimori and Izumi have moved forward in their love relationship, especially that smile of complete happiness 2:08, a great closure for this anime. I hope it will have a second season.
I honestly don't know who's cuter..izumi or shikimorie the right answer is well in my opinion both..that kzz on her cheek was pure love and just adorable..

I think the thing that really differentiates Shikimore from most other romance anime is it focusses on the joy of love rather than the drama leading up to love.
If find this refreshing, and Shikimori has surprisingly become on of my favorite anime.
But I can see how some could be disappointed if they were hoping for the more traditional type.

It doesn't feel like what people would do in this instance, and it takes me out of it. Am I the only one?
I'd imagine that cheek kiss turning into a mouth kiss at that point. No words at all after that point. Perhaps stopping the kiss when the lights turn back on. Or, better yet, keep kissing even when the lights return. Embrace that sense that they're both still focused on one another just like they were before the lights came on.
But, I don't know the details leading up to the kiss, so what do I know. I only watched one episode of this anime and I just never watched the rest.

This Anime kinda didnt do it for me, like they start off ALREADY as a couple, and the big final is a kiss on the cheek? I get it hes an absolute beta but man... If you are already a couple for that time get your guts togheter dude. It just feels so non realistic wich kinda ruined even the wholesomeness of the Series. If they wouldve like, started dating on Ep. 2 or 3 this wouldve been a lot better Anime and a acceptable ending.
Like this, i dont feel like the viewer gets that much of a satisfying feeling from the ending.

Romcom anime with confessions during their first season are the best. Yes that also includes Tonikawa, Horimiya, Bunny Girl Senpai, Banished from the Hero's Party and Aharen-san. Do you people have any others like these? Wholesome I mean. I don't enjoy drama for the sake of drama even if the show is great like Golden Time.
Her face though while he was confessing 😂. Also, these two are so adorable, they remind me of Nasa and Tsukasa from Over the Moon for you.
