I felt so sad for Kamiya this whole episode. Izumi was the only one that she could be herself around and he saw her for who she is. I really liked this moment of the episode where Shikimori talks to Kamiya resulting in her hugging and comforting once she tells her about her feelings for Izumi.
Amoge Anyanwu Yeah, I would recommend it. It’s a nice little romantic comedy and the characters are very likeable, especially the two leads Shikimori and Izumi. I’ve also been watching Spy x Family this season, too.

Such a sad but very wholesome scene. I really hope that Kamiya sticks around and we get to see the three of them develop more of a friendship together. She's a good character that deserves happiness. A lot of other animes I feel would have the second girl character who fell in love fade out of the story afterwards but here it just feels natural. I know Shikimori as an anime isn't grand compared to most other shows, but damn has it been a joy to watch. Definitely one of my favorites of the season.

Ngl, shikimori-san isn't just your typical cute and cool GF/waifu that we usually see on the internet, but also she's the most mature person you could ever encounter. Not simping over her or whatsoever but it's rarely to see an anime girls that weren't cutthroats like Shikimori-san when it comes to this kind of situation like this, trying to hide your feelings for the person you really liked because he's already got his own lover. Setting all the jokes, funny and cutie aside, this is the most matured gf you could ever seen!! Big respect to Shikimori-san and to Kamiya-san!!!

I'm just growing more and more attached to this anime and the amount of respect, maturity and mutual understanding that's being developed. I honestly felt so bad for Kamiya but at the same time I also feel so proud as to how the situation was handled
After Kamiya confess the truth fill with regret and sadness, Shikimori hugs her and forgive her and she will move forward. 1:25. 😊. It makes me feel sad if a friend confess the truth about the relationship, they will cherish these feelings they having it and deserve a chance to be friends.
This episode was something else. The whole sequence after Kamiya went back to the classroom and the other students were talking about her with such admiration, reverence, and caution. It made me want to cry. Not that they were trying to be mean or anything, but none of them ever even tried to get to know her and who she really is. Somehow she kept a straight face through all of it. Great episode!

As much as I loved the expression of the characters, the acting, and the overall seriousness in this scene, I can’t help but think of Tonikawa with Aya suddenly realizing Nasa was married and that her first love ended before she knew it.
Both shows are very comparable in a lot of ways beyond just that. Both are about an established couple navigating their relationship, both are very wholesome and have little-to-no fanservice, etc.
Happened this same season too in "Love after world domination", Desumi comforting Haru while she realizes that she has to give up on her crush on Fudo.
Tsukasa's hair seems to be red to me in Tonikawa, not this pink that Shikimori has. Either way, both are top-tier waifu's. Yeah this is comparable to Aya's scene though outside that scene being pretty hilarious to watch with many memorable lines like horror movie levels of stupid.
Man, this made me cry. There's a guy I like and me and him are great friends. Incredible connection, really. We've known eachother for 5 years, but only really started getting to know eachother a year ago (ironically, after I moved away). It started with him calling me over to his place for advice, and after that, we started talking on the phone for hours. What started as him sharing became us sharing. 20 hours a week of us talking, uplifting each other, and keeping each other sane. He liked someone, and I knew this, yet depsite myself, I caught feelings. I hear about this girl he likes ALL the time, but it's so hard to get over him. He's been one of my biggest lifelines. In late December, between my mom becoming suicidal (and our subsequent relationship decline and my increasing guilt over her attempts), my homelessness (I'm actually living with him and his family right now), my injuries (I have untreated muscle damage), and more, he's always been there helping however he can. Driving down to help wherever he can, cooking for me, lifting things for me, and helping me with my job so I don't need to strain myself, and constantly asking how things are going. My mom and I would've lost all of our stuff if it wasn't for him. I probably would've lost myself. I have fallen very much for him, more than my guarded independent self wants to admit. It's so easy to convince myself that we have a chance through our interactions: him walking close to me and hovering around me, asking me to touch and do his hair, begging me to go over to his dad's and join his family for events, how he can't meet my eyes as well when I have my hair down, how he's offered to be a physical barrier for danger, how close we can sit to eachother, how he will literally not want to do things if it means we can't talk for awhile, how we've talked about the things we generally want in relationships, our hug (and his expressed desire for more), our teasing, our laughing, his jealousy-like moments he sometimes has, SO many weird moments, how literally all his family thinks he's into me (or we're dating), how he's literally said that I'm the closest thing he has to what he wants in a relationship- yet, it's not me. I know this. I hear this. There's a significant but to all of the things I listed above. Yet I still get lost in those moments, and just like this girl, I sacrifice how I feel. Our friendship's just too great for me to give it up. He'll be telling the other girl how he feels soon. I'm falling out of him slowly yet surely, but there's a part of me that doesn't want to let go. That's sorry that it cannot. Yet, for our incredible friendship, I will sacrifice for him and what might become them until I feel no more. There is nothing more painful than this sort of sacrifice. Yet, it is what it is. Literally, he's as dense as a shounen anime protagonist in terms of social interactions and others emotions 😂

So in like retrospect she betrayed her own feelings for falling in love.

1. Izumi is a good guy; the scene where he carried Shikimori to the secret place to watch the fireworks is a good example of that. 2. I'm pretty sure that Kamiya and Shikimori are straight.
It kind of is a death if you think about it. A death of one girl’s hope that she could be with the one guy who sees her for who she really is romantically. A death of emotion can hit so much harder than the end of a life, because emotions are arguably what MAKE us alive.
Ooookay I know there is no way this'll happen, but given her charisma I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up falling in love with Shikimori as well and other things happen but that would make it a different story
This scene was so well done. I absolutely love the way this was handled and that Shikimori comforted Kamiya and didn't dismiss her feelings. This episode had me crying.
If you hold onto certain feelings, they only get stronger. Some hit your heart like a bomb. But the best thing you could do is be the other person who says ‘it’s ok’ when nobody else will. Sometimes that’s what we need the most.

Damnit i havent even watched this anime and Im able to realte to Kamiya. Why the hell did I have to get those damn feelings, why couldn't I just be friends? I betrayed our friendship and began feeling love for them but they were already with someone else. I tried staying their friend but no, it hurt too much so I just left them and never spoke to them again. Why couldn't I just be their friend? 💔

I have watched many anime with sad death scenes.
This hit so, SO much harder...
It kind of is a death if you think about it. A death of one girl’s hope that she could be with the one guy who sees her for who she really is romantically. A death of emotion can hit so much harder than the end of a life, because emotions are arguably what MAKE us alive.

Ooookay I know there is no way this'll happen, but given her charisma I wouldn't be surprised if she ended up falling in love with Shikimori as well and other things happen but that would make it a different story
I had a crush once. I found out that she had a boyfriend. Cool. I moved on. Easy.
Generally, boys handle this like you did. But girls are far more emotional.... So it's not really an easy handle for them.
This scene was so well done. I absolutely love the way this was handled and that Shikimori comforted Kamiya and didn't dismiss her feelings. This episode had me crying.

If you hold onto certain feelings, they only get stronger. Some hit your heart like a bomb. But the best thing you could do is be the other person who says ‘it’s ok’ when nobody else will. Sometimes that’s what we need the most.
