Hello, I`m changing my endgame bone necro to this build and here is what I found. If you look closer you will find that aspect of shielding storm is not working properly with barber heart (no damage-no shield contribute). Also, I`d say 30%x Crit Damage much better than Golem itself. Sacrifice it and you can take a Bone Prison which proc Lucky Hit Chance like 100% similar to Corpse Tendrils. IMHO, there is a fundamental mistake about buffs/passives/paragon/etc. for minions. Ring of Mendeln damage scales of your damage not your pets. Taking Hellbent Commander & Golem Mastery passives is a mistake. Besides tons of lucky hit, you need more %x damage, crit, crit dmg, vuln, main stat (physical damage will work as well) to ramp the mendeln and those shadow oriented passives will do the job (including blighted CE). Ring can do millions of damage itself if you stack %x and bolster your own stats. Eventually, applying Barber to this strategy you will see 8 or even 9-digit numbers. One dude one-shots Lilith with almost 300m crit, that's why i`m interested in this build so far.
Thank you so much for the build. One change I recommend is to take the points out of blood mist and put three into blighted corpse explosion. Perhaps my gear was lacking a few % lucky hit but I consistently had moments where nothing is proc'ing. Losing the free corpse from reap doesn't really matter cause you can open with blood mist/bone storm. I also had an abundance of corpses not being used. Overall, I saw a huge increase in dps and less periods of nothing happening.
@@BigHankyPanky Goblin has 3 points into Blood Mist. Gary is saying take two out of BM, and put those into CE instead (one for the +15% radius and then one to turn CE into a Darkness DoT). Edit: Oops... yeah, I guess what he's suggesting would require 7 skill slots. The only way he could do what Gary is suggesting is to take Reap off the toolbar, I suppose.
I played around with taking all the points out of bloodmist and put them into corpse explosion and it felt good as well. If your not worried about your survivability then you can go this route to boost your dps
Between the video and updates, is the ramping minions the best guide to use for this? No golem, etc like the vid mentions. Also what is needed on the 6 skills because there is no golem and you dont need decrepify.
In absence of the ring I have the 1 enemy decrep and switch out blood mist for an offensive playstyle with iron maiden dual curse (with aspect) This set up gives up to 50% (47% on my roll) damage. It's not too shabby. EDIT: my mages are the shadow ones till I get the ring.

ok, can you explain to me how you did this? I am struggling so hard with the necro in the dungeon which unlocks T3. I am 47 now and I am dying against the first elite mob without any chances. My gear is kinda up2date (everything 47) but I simply can't even beat the first elite monster (he kills all of my minions within 1 second), it's kinda annoying as I feel that I am stuck for a while here. I followed this build but the mob still kills me so fast and I do nothing to it (well, with hp pot spamming and luck I get him to 50% hp). No idea why but with necro the struggle is real xD

Missing a unique item? Lol. I'm running 1.0 with gloves that luckily had 10% lucky hit chance due to luck, and the 100% up time on bone storm is the magic of this build. You don't even need the ring.

The gameplay footage he uses in the video seems to be from different points in his leveling process. At one point he's level 52 (you can see his level on his hotbar area), and another point he's 70 or 80 something.
I have tried many different builds and this one is by far my favourite. It's fun to play, tanky as hell, and I can burst massive hoards of enemies with ease. Great job bro!
So, basically this build is focused on having those hearts. So, without the hearts, how much damage are you really doing ? And could you last without the hearts?
Ring of mendeln drops exclusively on WT4. If you did your capstone at 52, you'd need a different necro already on WT4, and then drop the ring with a low enough lvl requirement to wear it during the capstone. That's basically impossible as ring of mendeln is one of the rarest uniques to drop outside of super-uniques like shako and grandfather.
I had a level 60 necro who died in hardcore so lost him. But with season 1 I started another. I’m at 57 now, still haven’t seen the ring. But I’ve only been to tier 3. Maybe it falls in tier 4?
Mendeln DOES NOT work off of minion damage. it's you giving your minions up to a 10% chance to hit with all of YOUR stats. "Lucky hit up to 10%" means that if you have a 50% chance to lucky hit, when that lucky hit happens, you have a 10% chance to activate Mendeln. Bone Prison is bugged, it guarantees 100% lucky hit *effects*. You want to stack YOUR damage and avoid all MINION damage, because all MINION DAMAGE is bugged, say Cult Leader, the only stats that transfer correctly seem to be health/armor, but the DAMAGE nodes do not work, OR apply 30% of the advertised effect. What you want to do is focus on CRIT damage, Damage to Affected by Shadow Over Time, CC Damage, and Vulnerable damage. Those are the only stats you want to stack on your gear if you want big crits with Mendeln.
@@andrii9915 the ring does not proc from minion hits. It is based on the character hits. Thorns can proc Mendeln, so your minions getting hit can proc Mendeln if they have thorns. Long story short-- Avoid all damage for minons if you're using Mendeln, avoid attack speed for minions too. All you want is tanky minions, so Minion Life and Armor are the only 2 stats you want to focus on for Minions, everything else, focus on your damage.
Ring of Mendeln doesn’t scale with minion damage at all, it only scales off player damage. The minions are just your conduits for that damage. Same is for deathspeaker amulet.
Yes exactly, this is false information: For example, the Aspect of Reanimation gives our Skeletons 40% increased damage, and therefore increases the damage of the ring on our Skeletons by 40%. He wrote this in his guide.

@@richardhomer6517I believe so. I've gotten a number of 1 and 0 mobs required from tier 4. I think I got a 2 mobs required from tier 3. I was able to get to tier 4 solo at level 60 with a bone spear build. I was heavily focused on damage reduction and armor for stats though to do that. The boss was fairly easy, to my surprise.
Umm, doesn't the Barber cause mobs to be immune to all on-hit effects while the mob is absorbing? Or have they fixed it already? Cause literally every other guide using barber warns about that and skirts around anything using lucky hit, not to miss out. This is the only post-patch guide I've seen that recommends the exact opposite.
So, I have a suggestion of sorts. Drop aspect of might and got for aspect of explosive mist. Then unallocate 3 points into Bloody mist and go for the blighted corpse explosions. It adds more aoe procs of darkness for even more fun and helps reset blood mist even more. Thoughts?
You can do that, but then you'll lose the 15% damage reduction from Reap, the free corpse from Reap, the attack speed bonus from Reap (not too sure how important that one is), and the 20% damage reduction from Might. Losing the 15% DR from Reap AND Might would be a pretty big loss in defense. It would be awesome to be able to squeeze Corpse Explosion in there though.
I used everything in this build, the only difference being im running lidless wall instead of a focus so i sacrificed 2 mages instead, and at level 96 using your paragon, cannot output anything close to 300m damage and also get one shot by almost every single thing lilith does even if im standing in between the waves of death still die

I currently lvl 67, I´ve been running a build I call "Cold Shadows", here´s the rundown: *Minions: Cold Skeletal Mages with Coldbringer Aspect, Reapers (to drop a bunch of corpses all the time). *Skills: Blight, Iron Maiden, Blighted Corpse Explosion, Plagued Corpse Tendrils *Gear uniques: Weapon > Bloodless Scream Scythe (to pump up Cold Skeletal Mages with frozen and chill damage), Gloves > Howl From Below (Volatile Skeletons help spread Blighted Corpse Explosion to freeze/chill everything in sight). Haven´t had the chance to drop Ring of Mendeln yet. *Aspects: Viscous, Coldbringer, Grasping Veins, Reanimation, Blighted, Disobedience, Explosive Mist. *Hearts: Vicious > Sacrilegious, Brutal > The Decrepit Aura and Wrathful > The Great Feast. *Gear stats to aim for Cold Damage, % Minion Life, % Minion Attack Speed, Summoning Skill Damage, Critical Strike damage, CC. *Paragon Legendary: Cult Leader, Wither. ( i havent reached fourth board yet). Well I may have missed something, but with this build, no enemy can even get near me because they all get frozen and my minions just melt them. Helltide and Dungeons are a breeze to run solo or with friends, you can kill The Butcher very fast also. Your Minions are very tanky with this build with decent DPS. You won´t even feel the need for using Ultimates. Cheers.
I'm doing something similar but I have Army of the Dead ultimate. Tendrils keep the bosses vulnerable while I decompose and blight them. When I use the ultimate, boss gets surrounded and dies in one second 😂
I use tenticals and corpse explosion that turns into pools of bile. Also thinking of working sever in that also makes a pool for like 9k. Thanks for the ideas.
This video says to use the bone mages and the blood golem but the build guide says sac the iron golem and use shadow mages. Which build guide is the best? I'm back to being confused.

My understanding is that barber is currently bugged and does NOT work with the ring of Mendeln. And i have been noticing that i do not hear the proc noise at all from the ring since i added barber to my build. From playing the build it does seem that Barber is so strong that i am still doing very well but i think i am essentially turning the ring off in favor of it? i think i will do some testing with grasping veins instead of Mendeln and see how it compares. There is also a weird interaction that happens during the time tha barber is absorbing damage where shielding storm wont shield you because you aren't actively doing damage at that time. leaves weird gaps in defense. Run with a 2 handed weapon and add the Coldbringer's aspect. Focus on damage over lucky hit. I played this until I found the Ring and its still strong.
I just reached WT4 (I have been on vacation :( ) My main goal is Uber Lilith. Would bone spear or Mendeln be the easier to kill her? Don't have the ring yet and trying to decide if it is even worth keeping an eye out for minion gear. TY
Would you use Razor Plate if you got it with this build? I mean, I think you’ll still be tanky enough without it. But would it be worth it, the trade off for lucky hit and extra DPS?
Aspect of shielding storm does not work as long as Barbar is active (as during the Barber time you dont do damage with the bone storm). Barber therefore is really bad for your survivability.
When did you get Mendeln? You mentioned doing T4 cap carry at lvl 52. I am trying minions since I went bone spear in preseason- currently lvl 55. My issue is, the minions hit like wet noodles- they just suck. Most minion builds I see would be just fine without the minions. Looks like bonestorm / Shadow is doing all the heavy lifting here- could be wrong. IMO a single Skelly should be able to 1-2 shot any white trash mob in a dungeon and I am currently not experiencing this. I am intrigued to try this but, I am also asking myself why not just go Bone Spear and delete the screen.
Hey Ruze! Could you maybe update all the stuff on the mobalytics? I've been following your builds since season 0 and still unsure about stuff since in this video you dont use bone prison but in oyur latest stream you did. So is it needed or not?
I understand that you've been testing out different stuff about what works and what doesnt but like u said when u cleared T100 NM that the build is about ready now so if could update mobalytics when you have time. Also the gear affixes as well as the paragons I would appreciate it :) Trying to hit your streams but I seem to always miss them
Why use bone storm instead of corpse explosion, I have them swapped on the leveling build and the TTK seems higher plus you melt down bosses weaving decrepify, buff skellys, then detonate.
Shadow blight aspect that grants damage incres after 10 hits with shadow blight does not work the way you think. Only one shadow blight per skill cast counts. You will not get the damage bonus in just 2 seconds. Having multiple types of shadow damage that can hit simultaneously is the only thing that will speed up the process.
Can u try doing lilith with this build? Iv been wanting to do a good build for my necro for doing free lilith runs for some of my followers. Would this solo lilith or able to carry a few through lilith?

Got my Necro to 89 on the Eternal realm and I never got the ring (I got 3 Tempest Roars on my druid though, well before 89... go figure).

They need a slot dedicated to ultimate... the amount of skills we can have is silly... we need at least 2 more skill slots
Is this build still viable without the hearts? The Ramping Minions looks great but hearts are pretty much mandatory for that build.
But doing nightmare tier 37 at level 88 is really bad imo. How does it fare in high tiers (80+) ? :)

Did you try it I tried different mages and unless their base damage is making such an impact bone mages are 100% making a difference.

since the bone prison lucky hit proc is not fixed, i feel its a no brainer to go with for any ring of mendeln build
Why not spec into Blighted Corpse Explosion to further proc Mendeln and ramp up Shadowblight? This would also get auto cast by the Heart.

So, I have a suggestion of sorts. Drop aspect of might and got for aspect of explosive mist. Then unallocate 3 points into Bloody mist and go for the blighted corpse explosions. It adds more aoe procs of darkness for even more fun and helps reset blood mist even more. Thoughts?
You can do that, but then you'll lose the 15% damage reduction from Reap, the free corpse from Reap, the attack speed bonus from Reap (not too sure how important that one is), and the 20% damage reduction from Might.
Losing the 15% DR from Reap AND Might would be a pretty big loss in defense. It would be awesome to be able to squeeze Corpse Explosion in there though.
Aspect of shielding storm doesnt seem to work well with the barber. Have you tested it?

I used everything in this build, the only difference being im running lidless wall instead of a focus so i sacrificed 2 mages instead, and at level 96 using your paragon, cannot output anything close to 300m damage and also get one shot by almost every single thing lilith does even if im standing in between the waves of death still die

What are the actual aspects needed? Seems to be sort of all over the place unless I heard wrong and saw on the mobalytics guide you posted.

I currently lvl 67, I´ve been running a build I call "Cold Shadows", here´s the rundown:
*Minions: Cold Skeletal Mages with Coldbringer Aspect, Reapers (to drop a bunch of corpses all the time).
*Skills: Blight, Iron Maiden, Blighted Corpse Explosion, Plagued Corpse Tendrils
*Gear uniques: Weapon > Bloodless Scream Scythe (to pump up Cold Skeletal Mages with frozen and chill damage), Gloves > Howl From Below (Volatile Skeletons help spread Blighted Corpse Explosion to freeze/chill everything in sight). Haven´t had the chance to drop Ring of Mendeln yet.
*Aspects: Viscous, Coldbringer, Grasping Veins, Reanimation, Blighted, Disobedience, Explosive Mist.
*Hearts: Vicious > Sacrilegious, Brutal > The Decrepit Aura and Wrathful > The Great Feast.
*Gear stats to aim for Cold Damage, % Minion Life, % Minion Attack Speed, Summoning Skill Damage, Critical Strike damage, CC.
*Paragon Legendary: Cult Leader, Wither. ( i havent reached fourth board yet).
Well I may have missed something, but with this build, no enemy can even get near me because they all get frozen and my minions just melt them. Helltide and Dungeons are a breeze to run solo or with friends, you can kill The Butcher very fast also. Your Minions are very tanky with this build with decent DPS. You won´t even feel the need for using Ultimates.

I'm doing something similar but I have Army of the Dead ultimate. Tendrils keep the bosses vulnerable while I decompose and blight them. When I use the ultimate, boss gets surrounded and dies in one second 😂

I use tenticals and corpse explosion that turns into pools of bile. Also thinking of working sever in that also makes a pool for like 9k. Thanks for the ideas.

This video says to use the bone mages and the blood golem but the build guide says sac the iron golem and use shadow mages. Which build guide is the best? I'm back to being confused.
@golbin inc. do you think it would be nice to remove aspect of might and use graspein vein instead ? as you said we've already so much tankiness with fortify and barrier do we really need 3 defensive aspect ? damage increase would be great.

My understanding is that barber is currently bugged and does NOT work with the ring of Mendeln. And i have been noticing that i do not hear the proc noise at all from the ring since i added barber to my build.
From playing the build it does seem that Barber is so strong that i am still doing very well but i think i am essentially turning the ring off in favor of it? i think i will do some testing with grasping veins instead of Mendeln and see how it compares.
There is also a weird interaction that happens during the time tha barber is absorbing damage where shielding storm wont shield you because you aren't actively doing damage at that time. leaves weird gaps in defense.

Run with a 2 handed weapon and add the Coldbringer's aspect. Focus on damage over lucky hit. I played this until I found the Ring and its still strong.

Aspect of shielding storm does not work as long as Barbar is active (as during the Barber time you dont do damage with the bone storm). Barber therefore is really bad for your survivability.

When did you get Mendeln? You mentioned doing T4 cap carry at lvl 52. I am trying minions since I went bone spear in preseason- currently lvl 55. My issue is, the minions hit like wet noodles- they just suck. Most minion builds I see would be just fine without the minions. Looks like bonestorm / Shadow is doing all the heavy lifting here- could be wrong. IMO a single Skelly should be able to 1-2 shot any white trash mob in a dungeon and I am currently not experiencing this. I am intrigued to try this but, I am also asking myself why not just go Bone Spear and delete the screen.

Hey Ruze! Could you maybe update all the stuff on the mobalytics? I've been following your builds since season 0 and still unsure about stuff since in this video you dont use bone prison but in oyur latest stream you did. So is it needed or not?

Why use bone storm instead of corpse explosion, I have them swapped on the leveling build and the TTK seems higher plus you melt down bosses weaving decrepify, buff skellys, then detonate.

Shadow blight aspect that grants damage incres after 10 hits with shadow blight does not work the way you think. Only one shadow blight per skill cast counts. You will not get the damage bonus in just 2 seconds. Having multiple types of shadow damage that can hit simultaneously is the only thing that will speed up the process.
